Enjoying a good cigar at Ohlone Cigar lounge in Fremont. Because the day is beautiful, the patio here is great. The company is interesting. A very nice Saturday afternoon. The cigar selection is more than adequate. The staff is helpful. To me, though, what makes it stand out is the Pakistani restaurant next door. The curries and chutney actually smell better than my fine cigar!

It’s getting really hard to find a good place to light one up. Ohlone is one of those few places.
This place has THE BEST ventilation of all of the cigar lounges in the Bay Area. It also helps that they have high ceilings, and the back smoking lounge is quite big and airy.
That being said, it does lack a little atmosphere because of its large size, but hey… sometimes you want to go home and not have your car smell like you just fell into a smokestack. Make sure you bring your favorite drink to compliment the stick you just bought. Did I say they have one of the largest collections of cigars?

The people that work here are super cool and the people the hang out there are cool as well. It’s a good set up but a bit too dark for me and not as bright with natural light as what I’m a accustomed to. The cigar selection was not as vast but they still have some quality cigars to offer. My main concerns concern is the ventilation. The lack of ventilation allows the smoke to remain stagnant and in turn the smell will settle back on your cloths. When you’ve been to this cigar shop everyone knows it and that isn’t a good thing if you have further business to conduct throughout the day. I personally had to wash a pair of pants and the shirt I wore and take a shower because my entire room smelled like cigar. That was a first for me. But none the less the employees are awesome and it has a lot of potential.

I’m not really much of a smoker, but one of my close friend decided drag me out yesterday to catch up. He also mentioned to me this spot reminds him of one of my favorite bar’s in PDX because of the vibe. He wasn’t wrong. Ohlone Cigar Lounge offers a variety of cigars for you to choose from. They also have plenty of luxurious leather chairs for you to sit back and also a poker table for the fellas that wants to play poker.
Note:
— You can bring your own bottle and they won’t charge you for a corkage fee. My friend bought his whiskey bottle and we were just sipping whiskey and smoking cigar for a good 3 hours.
Conclusion: I would highly recommend anyone to stop by this spot if you’re looking for a guys night out that’s super low key and laid back.

Found this place on Unilocal and am not disappointed. Knowledgeable staff, great selection, awesome lounge. Definitely a must from the beginner to the aficionado.

Got here kind of late met the manager really cool guy. He allowed us to hang out at the outside patio, since we already brought are own cigars.

Good selection, great environment, top-​notch staff. In lieu of going to the bar, my friends and I buy a couple of six-​packs and go and drink here while smoking cigars and watching the game (if there’s a game on; any sport) or sit in silence and just enjoy your cigar (when there isn’t any game on). Enough seats for about 25 people. You can get humidor lockers to hold your stash of cigars. If you enjoy smoking cigars, this is a great hangout.

This place is great for a nice and relaxing environment. They have a nice selection of fine cigars and the staff is very helpful if you need them. They will cut and light your cigar for you and let you know where everything is at. The leather chairs are comfortable and they have nice clean ash trays. If you need a place to relax I would definitely recommend this place. The cigars are fairly priced as well.

This place has a great selection, attentive and knowledgeable employees, and a great atmosphere. The best part is the smoking room where you can smoke cigars in what was the classiest «man cave» I have ever been in.
Also while I was there, they had a friendly game of cards going. I was invited to play and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

The best place to buy and smoke cigars in the tri-​city area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great clientele, and competitive prices are just some of the nice things about this small, but classy lounge.
Pros: Offers comfortable lounge seating for members and anyone who purchases a cigar. Has TV. Has lockers for rent to store your goods. Offers all kinds of sales and club nights, along with other events. Smoking pig servers will deliver food to anyone in the lounge, just from across the parking lot. Great restroom. Seriously, that restroom is clean and private.
Cons: they don’t let you live here. It’s truly a shame.
If you’re serious or casual about cigars, come here. You won’t be disappointed.

Just recently found this great cigar lounge. Located not far from where I work, I pop in during the occasional lunch break to buy cigars and chat with the regular folks who gather here. Everyone, from the staff … to owners … to patrons, are great. Helpful with the products and you really feel welcome.
Their pricing is very reasonable and the venue is clean. The staff is professional and very helpful. And you have the option of smoking on premises. Wow! Don’t see that very often. I would highly recommend this establishment to any cigar or pipe smoker. Great shop. Period.

I lived just a short walk from these guys and am so sad I moved. As a female smoker, its always a little intimidating to come into a cigar lounge, but these guys always made me feel welcome. The cigar selection is wonderful and their calendar is always filled up with unique events. A great place to a smoke as the lounge is quiet and the chairs are spacious.

I’ve never been to a cigar lounge to just smoke and sit on luxurious leather chairs. I came here after our dinner at Smoking Pig. This place itself is very clean and has this classy/​timeless atmosphere as the patrons enjoying their cigars with their old friends while drinking whiskey or cognac over the rocks. They don’t serve alcohol here, but you can bring your own bottle here!
The workers are prompt and professional. They suggested me to try out their Cuban cigar. He chopped the end and lit it up for me. I went down to the lounge room to watch the Giants game. Inhale the smoke and it didn’t feel really harsh like cigarettes do. Pretty high quality tobacco store in Fremont! The ventilation is great inside to keep the air clean.

Came in today at August 30^th around eleven fifteen A. M looking for a few cob pipes and a biar in the three hundred dollar range
First when i walked in the guy at the counter was on his phone I asked where the cob pipes are located he points to the glass display that had about six cheap china made cobs (no thanks) so i stood there for a minute or two looking for the pipe tobacco all the while the guy never asked if i needed help and just rambling along on his phone if this is how they treat paying customers I’m happy to take my business else where also pipe selection and pipe tobacco selection was terrible even if your a piper goto mission pipes instead well worth the drive

Don’t doubt what you know.
These guys are a class A act and will treat you to a fantastic lounge with the purchase of a cigar from their wide selection. Grab a $ 1 soda and a great boutique cigar you have never smoked before. These guys know what they are doing.
Go here for a great cigar and a great calm atmosphere. A lot of great events. This cigar lounge will not let you down!

Exactly two years after my first review I am still very happy to give Ohlone Cigar a five star rating. The prices for cigars and drinks are more than fair and the lounge is always kept immaculate. The guys that work at Ohlone are all cigar smokers and pretty knowledgeable about their merchandise.
My wife and I stop by here about once a month generally after dinner and enjoy a great cigar and catch the game of the night on one of the screens. The other plus is that the group of regulars are all good guys. Ohlone is a great cigar lounge and we are very fortunate to have it in the East Bay!

Stopped in today, wasn’t planned. There was an impromptu pot-​luck.
Employees are awesome, customers are friendly.

One word…
«Man Cave»
Okay, granted that is two words, but I do feel it is like my man cave which my current residence, a Condo, does not have.
And, well, it is also a «woman cave» as there are many ladies who enjoy their cigars at the lounge as well. As a matter of fact the Lounge has a special «Lady’s Night» event every month (sorry guys).
You can come here and relax in one of the comfy chairs and read a book, work on your laptop and enjoy your cigar.
Or, you can sit at the table with a bunch of the other regulars and get to know them! You would be amazed by the diversity of people and their occupations and backgrounds!
I would challenge you to find any social club or hang out where you can easily get to know, on a personal basis, such great and diverse group of people.
If you have never tried a cigar, or just some of those gas-​station variety, do yourself a favor and come on over and let one of the Ohlone staff know you are a newbie. They are always very happy to welcome new comers and give you an education on the different variety and qualities of cigars.
And speaking of variety, yes they have the largest in-​house selection of cigars I have ever seen!
Albeit, I have not had the opportunity to visit Castro’s personal collection in Cuba… Let me just say, you will find your flavor and price range in one of their many humidors.
