Rare Touch II

This place was a god send. My daughter had another stylist no show for her prom hair appointment. We called around trying to get a last minute appointment. Porsche was willing to fit her in, and did a great job. This will definitely be the new place she’ll be coming to from now on.

I have been a client since 1992 and have formed great relationships with all of the stylist. They are all awesome and professional but Ronna is «my girl». She frequently has had to fix my do it yourself disasters and she can always find a way to rescue my hair. Her knowledge of hair is outstanding and I’ve never seen anyone leave her chair with an unattractive style. They all leave flowing, beautiful and confident! I always get multiple compliments on my hair when I leave the shop. Not just from other clients but from random people I happen to encounter. Great for my ego. Thanks Rare Touch!

I have been looking for a new hairdresser for a while in the Fremont/​Newark area. I’ve only ever had one person to work on my hair and you become very sceptical on who you let touch your hair.
I found Rare Touch 2 on here and saw the good reviews. I was like let me check it out. I called Saturday for an appointment on Tuesday. I don’t get off until 6pm and they were able to accommodate me.
Porsche was amazing. I’m a very simple person when it comes to my hair and usually I don’t like my hair when after it first gets done but when she turned me around I was in love with my hair.
My mom is looking for another hairdresser also. I will definitely recommend Porsha and Rare Touch team.

I found this salon on Unilocal.I have been looking for a salon for months. I had asked friends and family for a referral for a salon handling African-​American hair in the Fremont/​Newark/​Union City area, but most of them came back with recommendations that were just too far away. I called on Wednesday, thinking that I wouldn’t be able to get in until after the holiday weekend.
To my surprise, they were able to schedule me with Brandy that afternoon! I only waited a few minutes when I got into the salon for my appointment. She understood my hair problems (let’s just say I’m not good at self-​maintenance!) and worked with my nest! Best of all, the service only took a couple of hours!
My haircut came out great, I feel better about myself, and I would not hesitate to come back to this salon!

I literally come here every 2 weeks to see Regina. She has literally took my hair from damaged to flawless in less than 6 months. I get compliments daily on how healthy my hair looks, feels and is all because of Regina.
Regina is a very classy and polite woman. She’s prompt and always leaves a lasting impression every time I walk out of there. There are about 4 or 5 women there altogether who all do a wonderful job for the services you’re looking for whether it’s a wash and flat iron, a sew-​in or perm they all know what they’re doing in there. And they are a family owned business. Excuse me, an African-​American family-​owned business which is very awesome!
I love coming here and as long as they’re here I’ll be coming back.

Naiya at Rare Touch was my stylist and I highly recommend her and this shop! I had a last minute need for braids and was able to get in ASAP! It’s hard to find someone with a tender hand that doesn’t leave your head crying for the next week! If you love in fremont and need a stylist for our difficult type of hair, I recommend rare touch for your needs!

Brandy can not do hair cuts hair unevenly and when asked 4 my money back she assaulted me nd I almost had 2 go 2 the hospital… see u in court Brandy. I also know your violent history like I said on the phone u messed with the wrong one not a threat the legal system will deal with u!

I have been a happy client of of this Salon for over 7 years. Out of all the Salons that I have visited in my 30 years, Rare Touch has exceeded my expectations and made me feel comfortable. The environment is friendly and professional. Brandy, my stylist is awesome, she is very creative, takes her time and makes sure that I get out of her chair looking nice. I will always be thankful for her services especially because on my wedding day, she made sure my makeup and hair was perfect. When my daughter reaches the age of 4, Rare Touch will be the only salon styling her hair.

Ronna handled me so beautifully. There was no rushing but I wasn’t ignored either. Louis did a fantastic shampoo. I had a virgin relaxer and a trim. Ronna was upfront about the bad cut Dwight left me with (see NeoMod in Palo Alto), but she fixed me up nicely. The salon is spacious and clean, with all ages and genders coming through. The discussion was fun, but never disrespectful. Thank You Rare Touch II.

Shameka is the best! She will have your hair feeling like silk. I started going to her in 2003 and I trust her with scissors (more than I can say for many stylists). Her cuts are precise and promotes hair growth. Her customer service is good and she is open to feedback about how YOU think your hair should look.
I moved from the area in 2006 but still go to her when I’m in the area.

I went to Regina this past week and she did a fabulous job on my hair. She did a color touch up for me and washed, blowdryed, and trimmed. My hair was bouncing and behaving when I left the salon!:) She doesn’t take all day to do my hair and is a very nice person as well! I was so happy with my hair I made another appointment in 2 weeks with her. All the other stylists are nice as well and do a great job on hair! Parking is easy b/​c its right outside the doors of the salon, and you can even watch TV while you get your hair done!

What ever you do DON’T GO TO TONI! I sat in that salon for 4 ½ hours to walk out pissed! The next morning I realized that she had singed my hair with the hot comb. That area eventually fell out and now I have a patch of hair that is about 2 inches long on top of my head. Her work was just flat out sloppy.

Shameeka here is fantastic! I’ve been wearing micro braids for about 9 months and now live in San Francisco, but if I ever move back to the East Bay and need styling (she does it all) I know Shameeka will have me looking fabulous. I’ve had a press-​n-​curl, flat iron, tracks put in (weave/​extension), among other things and each time she never let’s me down. She’s also excellent at cutting thick hair and knows great techniques for making thinner hair appear fuller by layering.
