Hi My Sister Adriene Introduced
This Restaurant on February 23
was her Birthday that day. we both Ordered a Salmon Burrito. That was So, So, 5 star Good. the Burrito does not leave you with the Stuffed feeling. like Afterwards you just want to Roll over and go to Sleep. And the Restaurant is Clean with Nice Lighting. and the Staff is very Polite. Because I am Very Observant of others. and there Customer Service Skills. just My Thoughts. I own them. The End.

I used to love this place 4 years ago, we kept coming here every Friday for the first 2 years they opened, my last 3 visits in the last 12 months had been a disappointment, flavor is no longer as good, portions on their tacos and burritos are smaller, today I had a shrimp burrito that was completely baggy and empty, flavor was OK but for sure this was my last visit.

I was having a really bad day on Monday and what makes someone feel better other than food? Their FAV food.
I don’t know her name, she has box braids and glasses. She is such a valuable employee for this establishment. I ordered 2 fish tacos especial (MY FAVEEE) and i didn’t want onions but i did just want cilantro. I had no idea they had just cilantro by itself I always thought I had to get both onions and cilantro. I love they way she informed me of that an also had such a welcoming aura to her. She lifted my mood by just taking my order. It was also really nice that it was probably already almost 8:50 when I got there and she didn’t seem the least bit annoyed/upset that I wanted to eat there. I know when I used to work for a food establishment and people came in right before closing and wanted to eat inside I would cringe because I was always just so ready to go home. Props to her!
I got my food fast! no complaints what so ever, everything tasted great.

UH I LOVE RUBIO’S. This review is mostly for their brand though.
Anyways, I’ve been living like 5 minutes away from this place MY ENTIFE LIFE but I didn’t step in until as a 20-something. I missed out on so many birthday tacos! :(
I have yet to have any problems here, and for Western/Californian Mexican food, their food is always fresh and tastes cleeeaaan! And service is always friendly. Although they have a huge menu, I’m conservative when it comes to trying new things though, so I’ve only gotten seafood (shrimp cough cough) tacos thus far …
Right now, I recommend salsa verde shrimp on flour tortilla, original fish taco on corn, and their California rice bowl (similar to Chipotle’s burrito bowl) with chicken. I can’t eat at Rubio’s as often as I’d like because it’s $ 4 for 1 shrimp taco and it’s the size of my hand. I am a small girl, operating on poor girl budget.
Rubio’s also participates in volunteer events for eco/marine life and stuff like that. Wooow amazing #GuiltFreeFood :-)

I’ve gotten food poisoning 3 times from here. I’m vegetarian. Go figure. It was really horrible food poisoning. I even called the place and spoke to the manager and of course she played it off. Not sure who to call when I get food poisoning?
I guess they don’t know how to wash their hands after using the bathroom. -.-
I will never eat here again. I’ve learned my lesson.

eats: mahi mahi taco (3.99)
–small portion, mahi bland, taco loaded with corn, lettuce
–added roasted chioptle sauce from salsa bar.
wouldn’t reorder.
leftovers:

maybe shrimp is better…
