Make sure the person making your drink doesnt stick his whole hand inside your cup before making your drink. Im not being racist but make sure have an asian prepare your drink. Im just sayin. 6th grade graduates should not work at this popular location

Like everyone said, i wouldnt even put a star but i had to just to put a review. This will be the worst tapioca out there. Employees are just rude and irresponsible. It doesnt look like a business. More like a hangout spot for the employees. I asked for a non spicy food yet my food is still spicy. It seems like they are lazy to separate the food. They just stand there and wont help you until you said something. Never again with this place.

Not happy at all. I come here once in a while during my lunch break and it always seems fine, but last night I was overcharged for my regular size drink. My drink was $ 3.60 but the guy charged me $ 4.10. I went to the front counter to tell the guy that I was overcharged and he was really rude about it. I received no refund and no apologies. I will NOT be coming back to this place! The workers need to have a better attitude!!! If you want boba… there are better places to go to where the workers are actually nice and give you good service!!!

Jasmine milk tea is my go to tea and I order it EVERYWHERE I GO. Teas here are watered down. 5th time coming here. Each time its still watered down. Ordered a small jasmine milk tea with tapioca. Didn’t even taste the tea, just the milk. I come back in hopes it is just me… its not! LOL The tap ex on Decoto, does it right EVERYTIME. Plus, they charge 60 cents more here… for some watered down tea. Never again. I learned my lesson. Oh and the staff needs to be reeducated on proper food/drink handling. You can’t go from handling cash, then make someones drink. Wheres the hand washing between transactions?

When I got to the front of the line to order the guy at the register asks«Can I take your order» then immediately turns around to talk to the other employees. So I waited until he was ready and ordered a large watermelon icy with boba. He didn’t seem to be paying much attention and confirm«Watermelon icy?» I said yes. I wait and they ended up forgetting to make my drink. I even hear the guy asking where everyone is because he was confused about how they could forget the drink. So they end up making my drink and it wasn’t even correct. It was a small size and had no boba. So I go back and tell them and the guy who took my order just says«Oh well I didn’t charge you for those» and then he just takes my drink to remake it. No apology for him not really paying attention the first time or anything like that. When I get my drink the second time it seemed like they remade it. But after I left and started drinking it I realize that all he did was add ice and boba. The ice he added wasn’t even crushed which is the whole point of ordering the icy. I used to work at a coffee shop, so I know what it’s like to mishear things or to get an order wrong once in a while. But I always learned to simply apologize and remake the drink from scratch. It’s that simple. But clearly this place doesn’t believe in doing things right. The whole experience was just very off putting and I don’t think I will be coming here again… especially since there are many other boba places nearby within walking distance.

I’m usually a fan of Tapioca Express(referred to as TapEx back home), but this location was a disappointment. The okay: — Ordered 2 milk teas &1 honey milk tea and it was quick to come out The bad: — When walking in one of the workers was propping the door & was kind of blocking it as we were going in — The workers didn’t seem friendly & were«meh» overall — By the first sip, my cousins and I noticed that: the drinks tasted super watered down, the boba tasted gross & we all wanted to throw it away — The milk tea didn’t even fill the cup, we were missing about 1 – 1.5″ inches of drink to the top of the cup I’m not sure if this location is notorious for being disappointing or if this was an odd day? If in the area again, I’d probably opt for Super Que.

First time at this location and I will probably not be back. The employees were rude and carried on with their personal conversations as I was trying to order. They were also arguing about who was going to make my food because none of them wanted to do it. I ordered the crispy chicken and it definitely wasn’t worth it.

I usually enjoy this place. Went here for my lunch today for a quick bite and a cold drink. I ordered the calamari and it was over cooked! I could barely chew it. Disappointing.

If I could give this negative stars I would. The chubby African American associate cursed in front of me because he seemed overwhelmed with the customer ahead of mines order. Beside myself and the other customer there is no one else in here. This location needs to find better associates ASAP because I would never come back here. Also the customer ahead of me was also ordering different types of food, which they were all out of. If youre going to have a menu up, you should have the product in stock. This is the worst tapioca express I have ever been in.

Love this place but Jesus Christ clean up your graffiti in the bathroom. There’s some foul language. And y’all are located right next to Lowes. Seriously?

Unilocal Friends, Please read and NOTE to owners: For the most part, no matter what location where I’ve ordered my Milk Tea w/Boba and an order of the crispy chicken(Hot)…it’s been pretty consistent, so this review will be strictly about the service received and overall experience. Are you guys closed or open? Couldn’t tell since the lights were off and the shades were drawn. Walked in around 3:45pm, Tuesday, March 22 with my mom. Completely felt awkward as we walked in, and received no greeting from the 2 employees behind the counter, correction 3 employees with one female sitting on the counter dropping F-Bombs as we waited for our drinks. Unprofessional? Yes. Rude? Yes. And absolutely no-class. While we waited they continued their inappropriate conversation and blasted the music so loud, I heard the bass while using the restroom. Just not okay. Super-ghetto workers, with no customer service skills? No customers is what you will get! In closing, I would NOT recommend this location simply because of the unprofessional-classless customer service. I would drive an extra 10 minutes into Fremont or Union City to receive the same product and I recommend all of my elite friends to do the same. Time is money, why waste your money in a place where your not welcome.

Omg… this Tap Ex sucks! My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm. The person at the cashier register was not welcoming at all. At least fake a smile! We ordered tapioca milk tea with crispy chicken, which came out to be $ 8.25. That’s a bit pricey compared to other Tap Ex’s. We sat down to wait for our order. The drink came out quickly but she just set it on top of the receipt. I’m guessing she wanted to give it to us when the chicken was done… which took forever. You have one girl working the register and making drinks and another girl in the back making the snacks and the drinks. I understand that it’s not their fault that they are understaffed, but they were moving at an incredibly slow pace. They looked like they really didn’t care to be there. When someone walks in, you should greet them. When you’re too busy, a «I’ll be right with you» makes all the difference in the world. We finally got our order after 10+ minutes. The crispy chicken was good, but not crispy like I like them. It definitely does not compare to Union City’s! I like getting the avocado smoothie but when someone tried to order it this time, the cashier girl told her that their avocados weren’t ripe enough. I guess it’s because this location doesn’t get too much business. I generally like Tap Ex’s snacks and drinks, but their poor and unprofessional customer service makes me not want to return to this location!

If I could put zero stars I would, unfortunately it makes me give them one. Normally, I’d be going to the Tapioca Express in Union City, but since my cousin and I were in the area we decided to come in and get some food & drinks. Boy, we shouldn’t have done that! 1st) Their customer service was pretty horrible ~ and even when they weren’t tending to us they were pretty loud, on their phones, & they were playing their own music at a pretty loud at one point they turned it up really loud and we had to ask them to turn it down. 2nd) It seems like they like to occupy the tables for their own personal things(books, laptops, drinks) which makes it inconvenient for the customers 3rd) Language at work is completely unprofessional. Cursing at each other and yelling even when customers are around. ~ Another time ~ A group of friends arrived and it felt like the servers were just giving their friends free food/drinks. Ah, all and all too many«kids» work here not enough responsible adults.

I’ve been coming here for 4 years now and I have no major complaints. During the summer this place gets super busy and it can take a while for your drink to be ready. The staffing seem to be college kids, so you see new faces here and there. There is plenty of parking in this shopping center and the place itself is clean with a single stall bathroom that is always clean. The drinks I recommend are. taro milk tea, taro snow, thai iced tea, thai iced tea snow, tiger milk tea, starberry banana snow and REGULARMILKTEA. I also enjoy both pearls(tapioca balls) and leeche jelly. They use stamp cards so after buying 10 drinks or so you can get a free one! You just need to pay the tax. Also, a variety of snacks and meals are sold, but I not a big fan of the famous crispy chicken. I have gave the spam masubi a try and the rice was kinda hard and dry, so I’ll just stick with the drinks.

After pursuing my review on Unilocal, the employees decided to take my name and put it on their menu. How childish! God forbid that whoever complains about something wrong with their chicken, THISHAPPENSTOTHEM. Very very unprofessional of those who own this place. Also so embarrassing having people like that work for you.

So this review is based off of the one drink I purchased here. The matcha snow bubble. The cashier said it tastes like the Starbucks one which I’m familiar with so I got it… The quality is very different not sure if it’s because there’s a ton of ice but it just tastes a little off. Or maybe not enough sweetener. Otherwise, the menu looks pretty standard… Even though I didn’t like this drink I’m sure I will be back to try something else, maybe an avocado smoothie? I also tried some of my coworkers mango snow bubble that one was delicious! The inside was nice, and the cashier was very friendly and helpful!

Worst ever! I called while I was on my way to order food and drinks and the guy on the phone says it’ll be out in 10 mins. When I got there the lady at the counter didn’t even apologized and says what do u want? While she was trying to retake my order. I drove all the away there and you want me to wait again? What’s the point of preordering? Get your shit together! NEXT

I came here a while back, but just thinking about my experience here irritates me. I came with 2 of my coworkers and while we were waiting for our drinks we heard one of their employees mocking us in a really condescending and high pitched tone. He was stupid enough to say it loud enough for us to overhear him. We chose not to say anything to him, since we didn’t want to cause a scene. But because he was so busy eavesdropping on our conversation and mocking us, he made my coworker’s drink wrong and we had to wait another 10 minutes while he made her a new drink. Our drinks tasted terrible. The pearls had a really weird texture. Some were too squishy and some were still frozen and the tea was not good at all. :(Maybe if the employees focused on making the drinks right and providing quality service then they would get happier customers. Worst boba experience ever!!!
