Ooooo the red, white and blue potato salad is soooo good! The deli guy … Not so enthusiastic… Like not at all– helpful but I felt I was bugging him or he was high minus the giggles. The cashier I got was great– older guy cracking jokes– ended the trip on a good note til I had to ward off the sales guy outside…

This Safeway is always a disappointment. I always go back because it is close to my house but they are at an all time low. I would rather drive farther than continue to buy expired food and wait in long lines. Always check the dates on the food you buy here, especially the cold food. You think it wouldn’t be expired at a grocery store since there should be a system in place to avoid moldy food on the shelves but that is not the case here. They put up new signs at the register that if there is 3 or more people in line they will open a new register. However, I am reading this sign as I stand in one of three lines all with over 10 people in them and no new registers opening. Every time I go here I leave angry and wishing I would just stop giving them additional chances. At this point I will no longer be going to this store. Hopefully they can get it together.

To the manager that did not allow a service animal for the hearing impaired party in your store… Perhaps you are not aware that a Service Animal is not to be treated as a common house pet. The Americans with Disabilities Act prevents you from blocking that person right to go into the store to shop. Get familiar with Penal Code 365.5 That was a working dog not a lap dog. You should hope they don’t file a complaint against your store.

Profiling– the practice of categorizing people and predicting their behaviour according to particular characteristics such as race or age Two days ago while buying Groceries for my grandparents I was profiled there as «buying boos for someone else». They said my ID and credit card didn’t match and therefore couldn’t sell me boos BUTPROCEEDEDTOLETMEBUYEVERYTHINGELSEONTHECREDITCARD. Might I add I was buying food and IRISHCREME(no not vodka or beer). Then two day later I called the manager to complain. Let me add I’m not asking for anything, I just want to know why the policy was the way it was and regardless of the outcome I wasn’t going to seek anything further than an explanation. The manager Scott was useless, he knew the policy less than the terrible assistant manager and kept calling me unprofessional and negative(YESTHEMANAGERISCALLINGME, A PERSONWHO I ANDMYFAMILYFREQUENTLYSHOPATTHATSPECIFICSAFEWAYUNPROFFESSIONALANDNEGATIVE) Little do they know I’ve been working in asset protection/Loss Prevention for 6 years and have a general understanding of what policies are on credit cards… So I will be waiting for the LP manager to call me. in the meantime look into this from a legal standpoint. If you work retail, the message here is that if you’re helping me(or anyone) please be prepared to do your job! If you know the policies and do your job you will be successful 100% of the time. Also avoid this Safeway! Very small, bad customer service, and untrained management that embareasses the company and all employees that unfortunately have to make a living here. There not«customer oriented» and lack the certain neatness that Safeway has been always been. There is one directly down Fremont Blvd and trust me it’s worth it!

This location seems to be quite smaller than others. The parking here is pretty easy. There are carts lying around often. I came here twice in one week to find the same broken, unusable cart in front of the entrance. The quality of the produce, bread and other groceries are the same as any other Safeway I have been to. I have not tasted the deli or sushi though.

It’s a small, quiet Safeway and it’s also very dark. I only come to this location during the evening just to buy ice cream. It’s on the way to Union City for me and I rarely come here but the workers here are attentive when it comes to the cash register. I would definitely come with a friend if you’re thinking about coming alone!

I’ve been coming to this store since I was a kid, it’s definitely let it’s self go. Lots of homeless people hanging outside and two checkers only available at any given day that I happen to go in. Long lines, empty shelves; and plenty of people rushing to cut you off in line. Also, it’s not acceptable that customers are scared to walk to their cars at night time due to all the hassling and begging from homeless people. Clean up the parking lot and hire security or better security please. I no longer shop here as a result of all that I noted above, it’s very unfortunate given the fact that this was the only grocery store that I used to shop at. Lastly, incase I forget to mention; all the employees that stand near the front entrance to the right of the store smoking cigarettes in Safeway uniforms doesn’t appeal much either.
