Yummy Garden

Growing up in a Chinese fast food restaurant allows me to appreciate the hard work other restaurants put into their food. Yummy Garden or Hong Kong Garden (as it’s called currently), is no exception. The whole family pitches in here, from the grandma doing sidework to the son taking orders.
Their prices have remained relatively steady through my time eating here. The Sesame Chicken lunch special is around $ 6, from around $ 5.25 (I’ve lived eaten here since it was open).
The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce is also a solid choice. It’s cooked with white sauce instead of some other darker sauces that other people may be accustomed to.
The fried chicken wings is another good choice, each piece is thick and juicy, as well as piping hot.
This is a great fast food restaurant in a quiet neighborhood.

This has to be my absolute favorite Chinese take-​out restaurant. Hubby and I have tried various dishes and they are all top notch.
Don’t let any old take-​outs fool you; there is a difference between good and bad take-​out food and Yummy Garden is definitely one of the good ones.
Chicken wings, fried shrimp, lo mein, fried rice, General Tso’s, beef and broccoli… all very good. They are busy but still exceedingly fast, like most take-​outs.
There are a couple of seats inside for those that prefer to eat there.
