I visit this shop once a year, usually right after Christmas for the sales/​exchanges/​whatever. I always find something here I never have seen online nor in any other store. I find the salesladies here stellar and always ready to help.
This year I took my Mom in who just had to try on every single pair of pants ever made in her size and this is a frustrating experience I promise you! However, the sales professionals were just that, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I put it down one start only for the fact that this is smallish store and the selection is smaller than I am used, not for anything else.

I have been an Ann Taylor customer for a long time and customer service is not what they have been known for.
But today I received one of the best customer service !!! George Zamora was the sales associate who helped me with my purchase. He really made me feel appreciated as a customer. I placed an order over the phone, and he has friendly and cheerful disposition which made the experience very delightful. If it wasn’t for the distance, I would go to this Ann Taylor store to shop. Ann Taylor should hire more people like George Zamora because employers like him will help Ann Taylor to retain its customers.

Limited selection, especially light on the accessories, yet still three and ½ stars for attentive service willing to help sort through the mess. Stores must feature inventory marketed at the local demographic, as the selection seems quite the 180 degree turn from DC offerings.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even when one of the sales ladies was helping another customer in the dressing room, she still checked in on me to make sure I was okay or if I needed anything. The store is very organized and clean. And of course, Ann has great clothes. :)
