So why come to Big Lots instead of Target or Walmart? Good question; one of the reasons I shop here is the unique items they carry – imagine adding a tinge of TJ Maxx Home Goods, a sprinkle of dollar store, and a pinch of KMart to Walmart and you have Big Lots. This means that Big Lots has some furniture (I got this collapsable bed chest here I love) and other types of home goods that the other stores do not have. They also carry rotating food items that are greatly reduced. By contrast, you won’t see that many clothes here, no frozen/refrigerated items, or large appliances. I’d venture to say that some of the items here are cheaper than Walmart – but you have to shop smart. The staff at this location were helpful and there were always carts available when I went. One issue I’ve seen (a minor one) is that they seem to have few registers open at the same time.

Great deals on household products and snack food. Savings really add up. Try to visit and not leave without something.
Also, staff are super personable and the store seemed organized to me.

Honestly if I could give this store no stars, I would. Not only is the store disorganized, dirty, and disheveled, but I gave it a try last Christmas and was very unhappy with the products. Granted I probably should have gone elsewhere for gifts but I figured I’d give it a try. I spent a couple hundred dollars and thought I was getting a good deal. Forty bucks for a ceramic mobile heater and another sixty dollars for a digital camera. I bought a few other things as well. It was nothing fancy but I expected it to work… Both were broken. The heater didn’t work AT ALL and the camera worked for ten minutes then had a black screen that kept going off and on. Worst purchases ever! I didn’t even go back to return them because I was so annoyed. First and last time I will ever go to Big Lots… It was a BIG disappoint.

This store should change their name from Big Lots to Big Mess. The store looks to be understaffed but that isn’t anything new to these times, especially with discount stores.
The bargains are pretty good, I recently got two miniature Christmas trees for $ 40. Other retailers were charging $ 10 to $ 20 more for a similar pair. My advice would be to expect to spend a bit more time searching for what you need as the store is usually trashed by customers who are looking to find items that are in good condition boxes. Your luck with the employees can be hit or miss as I’ve had great experiences and some pretty bad bombs.

Visited this location a few days after Christmas. I was looking for an outdoor canopy and table that was listed in the sales ad.
First off this store was a mess, it seriously looked as though a tornado had hit. A broom, a mop and general organization of the items are badly needed here.
We searched this store all over and never found the canopy. At the front we asked for help locating it. The cashier was cool enough to hit the floor and search for the item as well. She didn’t have any luck finding the item either. We finally gave up looking for it, when someone called from the back, saying the item was in the warehouse. It would take a few minutes to fetch it. We had already paid, so we just said screw it and didn’t buy the item.
I can honestly say, I will bypass this store and shop at the W Shaw location if I need to visit again. This location was just to disorganized and borderline dirty.
