fresh bread, hand sliced meat, toppings look and taste fresh. what more could you ask for from a $ 6 sandwich deal? blows subway out of the water. if you’re in tower and want a good sandwich at a fair price, consider this place. my second time here and I’ve walked away impressed by the quality of the food both times. chip selection could be a little better, but the sandwich more than makes up for it.

First time coming here to Blimpie. For a chain, I was actually impressed! I hate Subway with a passion and this place blew it out of the water!!! I ordered the Blimpie BEST(combo) which was awesome!!! I attached a screenshot of what is on the sandwich because I can’t remember, lol there was so much stuff. I chose the parmesan bread and added olives & oregano to my sandwich(I also added my salt & vinegar chips inside the sandwich for some crunch. Try it. Lol) It was definitely tasty and I would order it again… after I explore the rest of the menu ;) Also, you gotta love that it is across from the Tower Theater… I enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the passersby. But of course, I love Tower so that’s a plus. Didn’t have a bad experience so 5 it is!

lunch time, I had time to kill so I thought why not try Blimpie –_-. I seen the deal for regular sub, drink, $ 6…first time there so i told the girl making my sandwich what ones do i choose from for that deal and she mumbled them. So I had to search the menu to see which ones I could choose from. Salami, ham and provolone is what I picked and when she started my sandwich she said«you want swiss» –_-, nope! PROVOLONE as stated. After that I wasnt feeling her vibe and told her i want everything on the sandwich and wanted to get out ASAP. Man at register«credit or debit?» credit– then he said put my pin, sorry cant! using a credit card! I mean my GAWD!

I love Blimpie for a number of reasons… it’s fast, the place is nice and clean, and the owner and workers are always courteous to my co-workers and I when we come in, which is about twice a month. There’s even parking nearby! Besides, where else can you get a large sub, made how you like it, with chips and a soda for under six bucks? I usually get the Blimpie original(Italian sub, with oil and vinegar, no mayo, mustard or pickles), in case you are wondering. I recommend Blimpie over the other chain sub stores. I’ve had their smoothies too, which are tasty.

Very disappointed. Store was out of bacon, Swiss, and tomatoes. Employee offered extra meat to replace the bacon and was given 1 extra slice. They going had 4 varieties of chips. Service was so-so. Not going back and that’s too bad since my office is one block away.

I didn’t know we had a Blimpie’s in Fresno so when I heard the commercial on the radio last week I had to give it a try, my meal was pretty good I ordered a hot sub: chicken, bacon and ranch with cheddar cheese on honey whole wheat bread with all the fixings like lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, black olives, pepper, oil & vinegar etc. with a bag a chips, 3 cookies and a pink lemonade for my drink, I will definitely be back again

I wanted to try the New Hoboken sandwich but when I requested it, the employee didn’t know what I was talking about even though there was a poster on their window as well as their menu. She didn’t know how to make it and I had to guide her in making it. There was another employee there but she also did not know how to make it. The service was extremely slow and to top it off, one of the employees was wearing a Subway work shirt. I will never return again I will definitely not recommend it to anyone in my office. I also think it is under new ownership.

I give three stars only because they’re tasty delish, but the service sucks. Insanely slow! I’m not sure why but they often have only one person working and Lord help you if the person in front of you orders a smoothie. You might die while waiting.

One of the best sandwich chains period. It’s a small chain, not like subway, so(unfortunately) you will only find one in Fresno. I discovered blimpie’s in Sacramento I want to say about 8 – 9 years ago and fell in love with it right away with their cheddar jalapeño and Parmesan oregano bread, and their fresh sliced meat and veggies. You can definitely taste the difference in quality between this place and subway, Quiznos ect… The tower location is small, but the employees have always been very friendly and it’s got a nice«hole in the wall» type feel. I love that they have cheddar cheese, as most sandwich shops don’t. It’s a far drive for me, but it’s worth it!

Had to review this place after seeing someone comment on the fact that it’s a chain in the Tower District. Oh heaven forbid there’s a chain in Tower! Regardless of that fact the staff is super friendly the ingredients are certainly fresh and the subs and salads are delicious every time I eat there. Though pricey compared to say Subway, I think the subs are definitely tastier. Living in Tower I have no qualms about a chain like Blimpies moving in and certainly don’t hold it against them because of that fact. Get some.

Again I have a hard time with this review. It’s a chain, and for me, I don’t think too much of chains. The food was perfectly fine. Nothing great, exactly on par with something like a togo’s or subway. The service was pretty great, it seemed like the employees were very happy to be working there and made me feel very welcomed. One of the big problems I have with this place is that it is a chain, located in the middle of the tower district, which is loaded with small family/independently owned eateries. I live in Tower and eat hear all the time, so I thought I’d give Blimpie’s a chance. And it wasn’t bad, but I could walk a few steps in any direction and find something a little less generic.

I had stopped by today while down in Tower District. I noticed a Blimpie right across from Tower Theater. Never had seen it there before. I’ve had Blimpies in NY area and loved it there. Everything is always fresh from the cold cuts to the toppings to the soups. There is a big difference between a Blimpie and a typical Subway Sub or a Quizno and what have you. Try them out. You’ll taste the difference. When I walked in, there was only one customer there with her child ordering. Automatically I get an enthusiatic greeting by the employee there«Hi there! How are you today?» «Not bad how are you?» «I’m doing fantastic thank you!» «That is awesome». Go to a Subway or Quizno and you won’t get that greeting a majority of times. It’s pretty much typical deadpan facial expression with a very unwelcoming«What can I get you?» I’m a customer but I also want to feel welcomed. So I began ordering. I ordered the foot long roast beef and provolone blimpie w/the works on Jalapeño Bread(Oh it’s to die for!). No problem, the man behind the counter who I believe might be the owner/manager went with his business. Now usually when I go to a place like Subway, I’ll tell them EVERYTHING, THEWORKS. They still ask me what I want on it even though I tell them repeatedly everything. All I told him was no vinegar. Only thing he has asked me was«Anything else for you?» The blimpie was very tasty. They stack the meat in it. Everything tasted FRESH from the lettuce to the tomatoes to the cold cut. The Jalapeño Bread has a nice kick to it. So if you like it spicy, get it with the Jalapeño bread. If you’re a daredevil, add some Jalapenos in it. The guy asked me how my blimpie was. I told him it was fantastic. Good stuff. He wanted me to spread the word about the local Blimpie, that they had just opened up last month and trying to get people to come in. They said they had made some mistakes before, perhaps at the Shaw location, but they are doing the best they can to correct any mistakes by feedback. There are ample parking spaces in the back. There could be in the front, but you’ll have to be lucky in Tower. Another great thing about this place is that it opens until 2:00 a.m. on weekends. What sammich shop opens during that time? Blimpie does, that’s who. Give this place a shot. It’s the only Blimpie in town. I’m glad they don’t shove Blimpie franchises down our throats here in the valley. I’ll even go as far as to say this place could even beat some of the local sammich shops in the valley. I just hope they don’t stop with the freshness and the good portions of cold cut they put into the blimpies.
