I’ve eaten at cart hop almost every Thursday for a couple of years now. I have ate from rawfresno, mattie’s pizza, Dusty Buns & Tako BBQ. Every truck has something unique and yummy to offer. I suggest everyone try it out once.

Every Thursday for lunch at Fulton Mall in Fresno is where they will be. Wish I had spotted CARTHOP before eating lunch, but I had not walked down Fulton Mall far enough. Decided to take a closer look because of the loud music playing and I saw a food truck. Turned the corner and to my surprise there were about 4 other food trucks parked, and each one had a line of people. There was a taco truck, a burger truck, Casa Tamales, Raw Fresno, and Summertime Pies. I tried a pie from Summertime, and it was terrific. Will write more about them on their Unilocal page. Anyways, if you happen to be in Fresno on a Thursday for lunch, then check these food trucks out!

Wish there were more taco truck varieties. This is my 2nd time there. I’m not a huge fan of the KBBQ taco truck, but try it if you’ve not tried it before. but my new fav is dusty buns! Def must try. Casa de tamales was mediocre. But good deal of you want a drink. We got the two tamales meal with a drink. salsa was not too spicy, more sweet. But I can handle spicy food, so if you prefer sweet, def get it! There were not a lot of people so very easy to get in and out. I plan to return to try the other taco trucks(summertime pies, raw Fresno(??) and the wood fire pizza truck). Bring more vendors/trucks! :)

It really brings life to the otherwise quiet Fulton mall with live music, people gathering around, and more delicious option to eat for lunch on Thursdays at Fulton Mall and for people working in Downtown Fresno. There are about 5 – 7 trucks each week, mainly: Tako BBQ, Dusty Buns, Summertime pies, Casa Tamales, Matties Pizza & Raw Fresno. This food truck is also consistently there every week on Thursday, so I usually look forward to it because I get a variety of different things to eat. The food is not cheap but they are quality, be prepared to spend $ 8-$ 12 for meals, and credit card and debit card is accepted, although I think cash would be easier and faster while paying. It feels very safe to be at Fulton mall despite the popular belief that this place is ghetto on Food Truck day, for those who aren’t working in downtown and coming for the food truck event at Fulton I would advice parking at CVS, its free. I would come early at about 11/11.15 to avoid the lunch crowd. There aren’t that many seats to eat there probably 2 – 3 tables, but most of the for can be eaten standing up or just perfect for take out. I do enjoy the live music misty so much fun. Overall a very nice put together on a Thursday for downtown. I of course would love more tables and chair and maybe even more options here like ice cream and etc during summer.

Now located in the Fulton Mall every Thursday 11−2/3ish. Pretty glad that there is a weekly food truck gathering in the Fulton Mall, near my work. While the options available may be limited, I think it’s fine. The main food trucks here that show up, are usually TaKo BBQ, Summertime Pies, Dusty Buns, Raw Fresno(Organic/Vegan bullshit, you nasty fucks), Bennadiction, Casa De Tamales, and some Pizza Truck one. Most, if not all, of the food trucks here except plastic which is good, and the lines here are never too crazy. Parking really does suck, since you virtually all of the spots to park at are metered parking, unless you have a permit for the nearby parking garage.

Local Eats — Local Arts — Local Music! Viva Downtown Fresno! This is yet another great addition to the great revitalization happening in our downtown area. Thankfully, some of the Food Trucks from the Fulton Mall come a bit closer to the courthouses, hospitals, law enforcement and public library. It is a quick walk for a varied and delicious each Friday. I enjoyed a brick oven pizza while my friends enjoyed burgers, Japanese food and even delicious pies. Plus, we got to enjoy our food right in the vicinity, thanks to available tables and chairs. The music and people watching is a bonus! Plus, the adjacent Water Tower boasts a really neat store with handmade art, crafts, jewelry and other great finds.
