Well, after eating dinner at Bobby Salazar’s every Friday over the last three months we decided to switch it up and try Casa Corona. Bad decision. I ordered the Bookalicious burrito and when it arrived it looked alright. Nope. When I went to take a bite out of it it was colder than my leftovers from my lunch today that have been in the refrigerator since noon. The six of us will not be returning again.

I love the food served here! I have made it a tradition to come here every year for my birthday, with the exception of this year. My most recent visit was around the lunch hour, and it was already getting busy. We got lucky though, because we were seated right away, and given the choice of a booth or table. We were served our drinks, chips & salsa, and ordered within 10 minutes. I chose the cheese enchilada combo, which includes refried beans topped with cheese, and rice. My dining partner ordered steak fajitas, that come with beans, rice, and flour tortillas. Our food arrived rather hasty, and the sound of the fajitas sizzling was heavenly. We ate each other’s food, and everything was absolutely savory. I’ve always enjoyed the taste of the enchilada sauce, and I would drink it straight out of a cup if I could. The employees were pleasant and all greeted us on arrival. Our drinks were continually topped and our chips were refilled when emptied. Overall, it was another positive and marvelous visit.

Zero stars for this sad place. Rude, rude, rude. Pathetic that you order food to go and they won’t provide salsa. Never going there again. Had to give 1 star to post:((((

The service is good and attentive. The food is so-so. I’ve had better Mexican food elsewhere. I had a relleno and flauta combo — the relleno was good, the chicken in the flauta was dry and bland, and the refried beans tasted odd. The salsa with the chips and salsa is very good. All in all, it’s okay but not my first pick to return to.

I’m from so cal so obviously, my expectation for Mexican food is high. Unfortunately, this placed fell short on many accounts. I live close by and have seen people waiting outside for a table on many weekend evenings so I figured it had something good to offer. I didn’t feel like dining in so ordered from their take out menu. I called in my order and the woman who answered was rude and impatient. When I would ask her questions, she acted like I was bothering her. When I asked what’s the difference between their tomatillo and house salsa, she told me she was not the cook and didn’t know. You don’t know the difference between your two salsas?!? What’s worse, when I asked if she could find out, she said no. Ummmm ok. I should have just hung up right then and there but I was craving Mexican food and wanted to try this place out. I picked up my food which was a combo beef burrito and chicken enchilada with a side of beans and rice. The food was plentiful and is more than enough for one person — I didn’t come close to finishing it. But the meat and chicken were both bland and texture was on the dry side. The rice and beans were standard and nothing special. Overall, I felt like the food was overpriced and lacked flavor. Staff was rude and lazy. I won’t order from them again. On to the next one!

Met up here for a drink. Inside is pretty cool, the drinks are wet, and the people are nice. I will return, and I recommend this place. The«5 stars,» is because I met up with a NON-Douchebag here. Lol!

No reservations unless your party is larger than 14 people. We showed up as a party of 8 and had a 40 minute wait. Initial service was pretty good. Ordering here is kinda hard if you want a burrito or burrito bowl. Simply because you’re on your own for creating the whole thing. It’s like a sit down version of ordering at chipotle. Lol it’s harder than you think if the toppings aren’t in front of you.(Maybe it’s just me) We were sat and everything from that point on was great. We really enjoyed the food and good times with friends. We will definitely be back. The employees do their best to make sure you are satisfied with your visit and are eager to please. Great trait to have!

Came here on a thursday and their special for the day was Chicken Mole. I’d never had mole before and I’m really glad i tried it! There was paprika in the sauce, which made it a little bitter but I loved it. I didn’t get the hint of any chocolate-y-ness as I’ve been told mole has but since I don’t have a reference, I thought it was great. maybe i’ll like it even more when i try one with that chocolate flavor. Also, got a chicken taco just in case I didn’t like the mole but it was just alright. Could have done without it. The service was pretty good, waiter gave us extra salsa on the side immediately. Also, great portions. If I’m ever in the fresno area again, I’d definitely go back!

This is 1 of my main go to spots in Fresno. The staff is always AWESOME!!! It does get crowded for sports, but in a weird way i’s kind of like a sports bar because there are different tvs in every section of the restaurant with a different game on. I recommend the California Burrito, it’s really good. I have brought friends from out of town here and they love it.

Ate here for my mom’s 81st birthday which means we get 81% off the highest priced item on the menu. Food and service was good and so was the food. Mom ordered her usual Shrimp and black bean flautas and the wife had the tacos del mar with chicken. Food and service fast and efficient. Ambience is casual and noisy. Great place to eat and meet up with friends.

So, we stopped in for drinks and apps. We got the wings and michiladas. The inferno wings were tasty and fresh but the michis were just average, nothing special. The place is clean and the service was great. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Thefe is alsp. plenty of parking. We were impressed that the food was still hot and fresh for it being a sunday night close to closing time. There seemed to be a lot of people there too. The food must be good. We’ll be back to try more things and find out!

This place has very good food and the service was quick. My Friend had a Michelada beer, he said it was made perfect! The shirmp and black bean Flautas was amazbomb! the shrimp wasn’t over cooked comes with sour cream and guacamole. it’s served as an appetizer but it’s the perfect amount for a meal.

I love the food at Casa Corona. Unfortunately they completely screwed up our order tonight. So far I’ve been waiting 31 minutes and counting for them to get me the items I ordered for my to-go order tonight. I always have to wait about 10 minutes when I order to-go. I don’t want to be that customer but it really pisses me off they made me wait 31 minutes. That was my time. I’m willing to wait a while because life happens. The manager offered me some chips and guacamole to compensate and I told him no. Not because I didn’t want them but because I had already ordered some and if that’s all he thinks my 31 minutes is worth clearly it means more to him than me. I think $ 20 would have been more appropriate. I told him I want the $ 5 tip I left back since no one I dealt with had earned it tonight. He said he would credit it. I’ll be checking my cc statement tomorrow. For what it’s worth I will order food here again. I’m just really disappointed in my experience tonight.

I’ve been eating at Casa Corona, since the beginning. It was my «go to «Mexican restaurant, until I found something better. Last night will be my last visit, for a while. The waitress was having a bad night. It took forever to get our order in. She forgot the child’s drink. I had to get my own refill of chips. She didn’t check in to see if we needed anything. When she brought our check; we asked for a refill of soda, just for spite. I had to take my bill to the front, to pay. The place was only at 1⁄3 capacity, and it was 8 pm. I understand sometimes you are having an off night, and things just keep compounding. I noticed she wasn’t keeping up with her other tables. Maybe a manager could have assisted? Anyway, the food IS good. I like the chile verde, fajita tostada, and some other things.

Food is great as always. There are some very pleasant bartenders. The problem comes with a select few employees who tend to forget they are in the service industry. Example: Once they achieve the role of bartender they think they’re rock stars and can treat people any way they want. I can understand if a customer is unruly they should address that. The issue I’m talking about is that they seem to treat their friends golden and those they don’t like with derision. This is totally unacceptable. This denigrates the very many fine employees who work at Casa Corona. This betrays the trust of the owners. These employees do NOT own this restaurant and do NOT have a right to slight customers unless they deserve it. Have to say this is not the kind of bar where a napkin is tossed your way and asked, «What are you having.» If the bartender does not like you you will most likely be ignored. This diminishes you as a person and shows a lot of disrespect on the employees part. This is not to say that Casa Corona is not a good place to go. But it does say a lot about how you can expect to be treated. Employees should always remember that they are in a service industry and they should ALWAYS strive to do their best. This is not the case at Casa Corona. Complaints fall on deaf ears. They are truly blessed to have a popular restaurant/bar. I wish them well but their employees need to be held accountable.

Usually I don’t bother rating places, but today I was very disappointed. The food has changed here, the service is very bad, I honestly don’t know what has happened to this place. I hope that things do change here because I know how well they have been before.
