I love this place. You will love how well you are treated and how fantastic the food is.

Tried the family dinner for three. It came with tea, almond chicken, sweet-sour pork, «northern vegetables», steamed rice and fortune cookie. The restaurant is repetitively decorated in red/gold Chinese stuff. It’s typical and acceptable. The people are friendly and funny. The food? …Not so good. The almond chicken was the best. Nice sauce and decent amount of chicken. The northern vegetables were good as well but nothing thrilling due to a very plain sauce. The sweet-sour pork was the worst Ive ever had. Texture was rubbery and had obvious freezer burn, was over fried and over sauced. We also ordered a side of pork fried rice which was terrible due to old stale rubbery pork pieces. With numerous other choices in Chinese food I would not return as this is simply mediocre

I love this restaurant! The food is great and Lynn, the owner, always remembers my name and what my favorite foods are.

This place falls victim to accommodating food to the American palate and forgets its roots and identity as a Szechuan/Mandarin cuisine it prides itself to be. In short if you are used to eating the auntehtic good Chinese food in Asia, you would probably find this place extremely disappointing, but maybe for first timers or those who don’t understand the complexity and taste of Chinese cuisine from these Chinese region, you might think its great. Although the service was nice and really friendly, my reviews has to be objective about their taste, and to me their taste is not only lacking flavor but it also suffers from quality of ingredients used in their cooking. Their prices is also not cheap for a Chinese cuisine, but I don’t have a problem with price, as long as the food is good, but when the price doesn’t reflect the food, I have a problem. I ordered the Hunan Beef $ 10.45 to go, and to be honest it was just greasy and lackluster in flavor. It honestly tasted like was just tossed with plain soy sauce and some rancid oil, it was just so unappealing. The vegetables was also overcooked, and the beef was just too chewy from lack of using quality beef and trying to cheat with soaking it in bicarbonate soda, to make it appear all fluffed up and soft, I hate it when Chinese places do this, its fine to use a little, I know its part of marinating the beef to get it tender, but in excessive amounts it hurts the taste. It also had an old oil aftertaste, which made me stop eating after the first bite. I also ordered the Szechuan Shredded Chicken, $ 9.45, this dish was utterly rubbish and repulsive. It again had the aftertaste of rancid oil, the dish had no flavor whatsoever, tasted like poor quality soy sauce tossed with chicken and oil, plus the chicken was just rubbery and doesn’t taste like chicken — I was sickened by the aftertaste of the dish. My biggest disappointment was finding out that they used canned chicken breast for the dish I ordered, that was just blasphemy. I can’t believe they would even use that, I noticed the crumbly and rubbery texture, plus the box they put my to-go was in the daily chef chicken breast in water carton, so that kind of gave it away. I was in utter disbelief that a Chinese restaurant would use canned chicken breast for the dish. Overall I would not be back to this place, I would be crazy to come back after today, there is no excuse to mess up 2 dishes, if it was one, I would understand, but 2 dishes ? I was hoping this place would not mess up but it did, and it disappointed me beyond words. I do hope for their own sake they would improve on their taste and quality, or stop using Chinese food name in vain.

I stopped by the tea shop next door for some loose tea and saw the restaurant next door. We looked up the place on Unilocal, and it had good reviews. The waitress/hostess has that perfect amount of charm and pushiness that I love. People walked in like a cheers episode and she hugged them and was cracking jokes. She saw we were struggling to order so she helped us out. We had the sizzling rice soup, potstickers, sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef. Dang, so so good! Everything was fresh and a good flow of people kept coming in. This is my new go to place for Chinese food! Try it! Reasonable prices and nice waitstaff.

As other reviews, the service is good and your meal comes before you are done with your soup. I came here for lunch and order Kung Pao chicken. The steam rice tasted old and dried out. The food was too spicy to enjoy the flavor. Excellent customer service however they don’t come around to find if your food is good, which would give the restaurant an opportunity to fix the meal. Overall, a good place for lunch… good prices.

Orange chicken was bomb dot com and puts Panda Express to shame(this is for you people who think Panda Express is standard Chinese food) Also, try the pan fried noodles and shrimp with special sauce. You will not regret it!!!

I Love this place. If you want real Chinese food this place where you want to go. They make their food fresh and it’s not under heat lamps like panda. Their sizzling rice soup is great for cold days. I love their chicken pan fried noodles, kong pao shrimp, ting tao chicken and many other things. I’ve tried almost every dish and everything has its own taste. Their service is also great. They treat you like family and not like chain restaurants do. They try to get to know you and they will remember your order. The owner remembered this table of 8 whole order before they sat down. They loved it and laughed. We asked them how long they had been coming here and they said for 18 years. Their was a teenager in the group who said she had taken care of him since he was born. They have been here for almost 20 years. Give it a try and you will be happy.

They got 2 stars because the service and the atmosphere was great. The food was bad. Everything basically tasted like soy sauce. I feel bad because the staff was really nice, but if you’re going to sell food, it needs to be good.

A great hidden place for lunch. The service is fantastic and the food comes out before you’re done with the soup. The food is good and reasonably priced. Clean. The Tangerine Beef is a favorite. The lady that runs the place is a sweetheart.

I have been going here my entire life and in my personal opinion there is no other place that compares. The service is great and the family that owns the restaurant are the sweetest in the world. The sizzling rice soup, tangerine beef and Szechuan chicken are phenomenal. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the neighborhood.

The only thing keeping me from giving one star is that the people are really nice and they are open on Thanksgiving. Everything was less than mediocre from the seating to the fortune cookie, and I’m not sure how else to say that. The food was edible and I guess I didn’t get sick so that’s a plus. This place just left an empty yearning for something else. I was left psychically filled, yet still hungry for something more satisfying. Real bummer. Here’s what we tried: Orange chicken Pot stickers Egg rolls Pork fried rice Chicken chop suey chowmein

Nice folks and their place is one of the most clean I’ve been to in Fresno. Nothing is sticky or dirty, it smells clean and is. If it wasn’t about food they’d get 5 stars. Mongolian beef was dry with no sauce. Like an engine that ran out of oil the meal simply died. I regretted having spent the money with no sense of satisfaction. Loved everything else but shouldn’t the food be at the top of the list? –G

This is the classic example of a Chinese restaurant catering to white people. Very nice service and décor but the food was to greasy and to sweet. I would not eat here again based only on the food it is only 1 star but since they were nice I bumped them up to 2
