I think the kids that apparently work here need to come in and get to work. We got one guy actually working inside and the other ones are out side talking to someone in a car.

Pros: –AWESOME firehouse theme; looks very nice –a very nice, welcoming staff –HUGE selection of hot sauces that are all labeled with a number indicating where they rank on a «heat scale» ranging from 1 – 10 –very clean –has nice televisions –has the Coca-Cola Freestyle, which lets you choose from 100+ beverages –the buns are very toasty, the meat is warm, making a great overall sandwich –sandwiches are served with a pickle, which adds a nice touch to your meal –variety of chips to choose from, including Miss Vickie’s kettle cooked chips(my personal favorite) –I bought a brownie, which was very tasty and impressive in size –nice selection of cheeses that melt perfectly in the sandwich Cons: –PRICES; I paid about $ 10 for my sandwich alone –no doubt that these subs are better than average, but I’m not sure if my sandwich was worth what I paid for it, seeing as I’m on a college student budget. I would definitely not recommend for those looking for a cheap meal

My experience with Firehouse was great. When I walked in the door, all of the employees greeted me in unison. It was a fun touch that showed they are putting in the effort to make your experience memorable. I ordered a sandwich that had pastrami and corn beef in a combo. Was a tiny bit pricey at about $ 14, but it was a huge sandwich. There were 2 big tvs playing separate sports shows at either end of the dining room, so there was something to do while I waited. The gentleman that made my sub did not just holler out my number, he walked out my sandwich to me which was a nice touch. The sub was VERYGOOD. Stacked high with meat, soft roll, came with a pickle spear on the side, very satisfying. The last thing is that with EVERY single purchase made, they attempt to raise money to support 1st responders funds. So, they talk the talk and walk the walk.

Beef cheddar sub was delish but ask them to go easy on the sauce. It was a bit drenched.

Good, but kinda pricey! Just got done having sandwiches here at Fresno location. I had the Italian, it was delicious. Hot, toasty bun, warm meats, and cheese, along with condiments, and Italian dressing. My husband had Meatball sub, and he said it was tasty & meatballs were tender. Overall no complaints, but it wasn’t cheep. 2 sandwich combos=$ 24.00, yep, 24 bucks. Bring your cash!

The good The place was very clean. The staff very nice. I love they have the coke machine where you can have multiple flavor coke. The theme inside is great. The wtf? When you have something labeled Italian, why would it have Virgina $&&!#=& honey ham in it? What says Italian about that? Well I went for the Italian for some silly reason. The bread was nice. Had a light toast. That’s it for good. The majority of the meat was the ham. It overpowered the other two meats making them unrecognizable. The ham was super sweet. The pep and salami were seen and never tasted. Then it scantily had a couple of tomatoes, a thread of white onion and lettuce. Apparently when I said load up everything means don’t put all the veggies and barely use the ones you do add. It has a great theme but 11 bucks for a sandwich that tastes like it’s from quiznos? I will stick with my local delis.

Super nice staff, cute décor, fast service. For the price the sandwich was incredibly dull. Nothing special that you could not get for five bucks at Subway. My total bill for two medium sandwiches, two drinks, a cookie, and a bag of chips $ 25.57. *** no extras were added to sandwich btw

I ordered a steak and cheese sub. The server told me, «It comes with mayo and deli mustard.» Sounded great to me. The sandwich tasted very plain. I opened it and sure enough, there was no deli mustard, only mayo. You’d think with only two condiments to add, they would’ve remembered the mustard. The sandwich(a large) was big, and should be, for its 11.99 price tag. But it lacked flavor. The steak was bland, the onions, bell peppers and mushrooms were plain. I had to add salt. I was disappointed. The atmosphere is nice, and matches the business name, service was pretty good with helpful staff.

So after watching countless commercials and finally getting one nearby,(Fresno) I was excited to try this place out. So right off the bat I was turned off by the lack of greeting or acknowledgment by the lady behind the register. Granted I’m annoyed by the«may I help you» I get from other places(Edo-Ya), but also don’t stand there awkwardly looking at me either. I’ll take the«may I help you» over the awkward silent treatment any day. So after playing the blinking game with the lady at the register, I ordered their highly commercialized smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket on wheat bread. I ordered the medium and got it as a meal with chips and a drink. I was extremely disappointed by the size of the sandwich. Maybe I was just really hungry since it was almost 2 and barely eating lunch but I’ve seen bigger subway 6-inch subs than this sandwich and it also didnt look like anything in their ads. I must admit though the flavor was outstanding. The meat had good texture, the BBQ sauce was flavorful and the cheese was perfectly melted. My only other gripe other than the size was the texture of the wheat bread. It has a very grainy texture. I probably would skip the wheat bread next time. It was too distracting while I was trying to enjoy the rest of the sub. Another negative was the drink. I got the limeade out of their Coke dispenser. I can’t put my finger on what it actually tasted like, but I can’t say it tasted like any limeade I’ve ever had. Thankfully I was sitting directly across from the dispenser so I was able to dump it and get Dr. Pepper instead. My overall experience was meh. I can’t say I would recommend this place to anyone solely based on the flavor of the inside of their subs, but I would also be willing to give it a another try on my own. Perhaps it’s just the growing pains of a new location so we shall see.

We tried this place recently and the food was pretty good. I love their soda machine! It has so many choices. Place was clean and the staff seemed very friendly however I have two issues. The first being that they have no ketchup in the place and it would have made my grilled cheese taste even better. The second issue was that it states on their menu that every kids meal comes with a firemans hat so if this is the case why was it not brought out to me with my meal? I had to ask for it! The server did get one for me right away but if it comes with the meal you should not have to ask for it. That being said we wil give the place another try one of these days.

This place just opened up a few months ago. I had the Turkey Bacon Ranch and my husband had the Club on a Sub. The sandwiches were decent. Nothing special. The sandwiches were a little pricey. Workers were friendly and the service was good.

asked what comes on turkey and cranberry and got the run down. no mention of cheese. sandwich has cheese. took it back. second sandwich had onions, which i had asked to exclude, but whatever, those i can pick off. no pickle came with second one either, had to go back because the pickle is the best part. also… took 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. it also took $ 22. i do not mind paying a lot for good food, but I expect them to have it together a little more. like 6 employees, 3 customers and this is how it went? bleh.

If you are a vegetarian… this is NOT the place for you. I am a vegetarian and went to this establishment and there were no veggie subs on the menu, however, I had looked up the menu online and knew that they offered a veggie sandwich at other locations so I ordered one anyway. What I got was a soggy mess. Regular, warm wilted lettuce mixed with grilled peppers and canned mushrooms. Yes, CANNED mushrooms plus some cheese and dressing. My bread was completely soggy and hardly edible. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because my meat loving husband liked the sub he got. I believe it was the club…& he can’t wait to go back and try another one… this time he’ll have to go without me though. Update: husband wasn’t fond of his 2nd sandwich which was heavily dressed with mayo. The prices are kind of high for what you get. For quality, taste and variety for the same price your best bet is going to Sequioa Sandwich Co or Sunnyside.

I normally don’t like to review a business based only on one visit, but considering they’ve really only got maybe a dozen variations of the same thing on the menu, I feel like I’ve got a pretty good handle on things, here. I’ll start with the positives. It has a unique fire station theme look to the place, with a painting depicting a local scene of downtown Fresno, maybe to kinda make people forget that this is still a chain. It also has one of those rare, fancy touch-screen soda machines that has over a hundred different soda combos. It’s got a few tvs mounted, all showing football with audio– so they had all that going for it. Let me make this clear, there was nothing inherently WRONG with the sandwich– it tasted fine. I got a large New York Steamer, which had corn beef brisket, pastrami, and provolone. They ask you if you’d like to add a pickle spear on the side, which the way they put it implied there’d be an additional cost, but I wasn’t charged. The main problem was at this price point(sandwiches are $ 10+) I’m going to be comparing the establishment with the Sam’s Deli, Sunnyside Deli, and Sequoia Sandwich Shop tier of sandwiches, and it doesn’t have the same quality of meat as the first two, or the freakishly generous amount of meat as the last one to compare. If this was priced in the Subway, Quizno’s, Port of Subs bracket, it would have fared a lot better. If you’re in the immediate area and want a sandwich, there’s Jimmy John’s down the street on First and Nees for a comparable sandwich for a few bucks less.

I live down the street from this place so when I seen the sign they were finally open, I was super excited and immediately had to try them. I got the barbecue and cheddar brisket sandwich, I heard was good, as soon as I get home I begin to eat it and noticed it didn’t have bbq sauce mostly mayo btw I hate mayo… I was so sad because I was really looking forward to a great sandwich… I decided to give this place 4 stars because the gentleman who helped me was very polite and I appreciate that!!!

Their new to Fresno but old school to me. Spent 20years back east and this was my favorite sub shop. I promise they will crush any other sub shop.
