Service is terrible and so is the food. I also found a hair in my plate. After eating here, I had the worst stomach ache ever and kept burping the orange chicken. This place is overall terrible and not clean whatsoever.

The food is terrible. There are black moldy ad posters in the window. The food is cold and the fried foods are soggy and not crunchy at all. The food sits out and they will not replace it as long as there is some out(I had to ask for some fresh items that were old or empty and that’s the response I got). I don’t know where these people that have said good things about this place eat good Asian food but this ain’t it.

On our way to Irvine from Sequoia National Park, we stopped at this place and if I were to live in Fresno, I would literally just spent half of my days here. I have been to many Chinese buffets around my neighborhood, but this place beats it. At the price of $ 8.00 during lunch hours, you have access to about plethora of Chinese food and dessert. Unlike most buffets, the food actually tasted good. Relocate to Irvine, Fresno New China!

Food was bland, rice was soggy, and the atmosphere was terrible. Only thing I had that was any good was the pink lemonade out of the fountain. Would recommend you go elsewhere

Average, typical Chinese buffet. They have your typical Chinese selection, along with a smaller Japanese(basic sushi rolls), and American selection(Pizza, fries etc). This place looks pretty old outside, but once inside it’s somewhat clean for what it is, and there is plenty of room to move around. The cheap lunch buffet special($ 8?) is what gets me coming here, and there is plenty of curbside parking around as well.

Went during dinner time. The choices are your standard Chinese buffet options. Some of the food had been sitting for quite some time, unfortunately. The mashed potatoes had a layer of cracked yellow film over them. The orange chicken was kind of dry. The fried rice and chow mein was pretty good! All in all, it was mediocre at best. The workers were very nice and attentive, however, and the restaurant is extremely clean, so I will say that that is a plus. Maybe during the lunchtime hours the food is much fresher.

Found this place through Unilocal while driving through fresno. As we were pulling up we were hesitant about going in cause the building looked a little ran down and maybe not the best part of town. To our surprise it was very nice inside and they have a wonderful buffet. Lots of different food items and everything tastes great! Our server«Natalie» was super friendly and attentive. We will drive the 30 miles to come back here when we’re in the mood for Chinese food!

My Fiancé and I went here around dinner time on a Saturday. It wasn’t very busy but did seem to pick up a little bit as we were leaving about seven pm. I’ve been trying to find a go-to Chinese buffet in Fresno that isn’t Lin’s Fusion(waaaay too expensive!). This place had okay reviews and it was cheap; dinner was $ 9.99 each and the sign either said $ 8.99 or $ 7.99 for lunch-definitely great. The food wasn’t terrible. It was just not great either. I usually stay away from seafood, no matter how much I trust that particular Chinese buffet. Fiancé tried a fried shrimp and said it was very old. He only took one bite and that was it. He also tried the sushi and it too was less than fresh. Since there was so much rice and it was old and cold it was simultaneously hard and mushy if that makes sense. I was hoping for more selection as well but there wasn’t much. I liked that the General Tso’s chicken was mild spice wise but I’m sure others would be dissapointed. The other dishes were rather forgettable and some dishes even sort of tasted like each other. The desserts were pathetic. It was an assortment of fruit, jello, pudding, some very moist macaroons and a puzzling number of reject cakes that were probably mistakes from the bakery. I didn’t try the cakes; there were several of them and all appeared to be heavily frosted, which I dislike. The macaroons tasted fine but the fruit was hit or miss. I’ve never had a cantaloupe that tasted like absolutely nothing before. The service was fine and we got our drinks quickly. The place was also very clean and not very run down looking at all which is great. Typical decoration that you’d expect at a Chinese buffet. We won’t be coming back.

The food was good, especially for $ 9. I expected a much smaller variety, but they had quite a wide range. However, there were flies all around the dining area, constantly landing on my food so that I could not continue to eat it. When I told the owner, he acted really surprised. If there are multiple flies in your dining area, you definitely know about it; this couldn’t have been the first time somebody brought it up. Had it not been for this issue, this would have been four stars. The reason this is three stars and not lower is because I do not expect a lot from a $ 9 buffet. I’m from Toronto, where you cannot leave a buffet for less than ~$ 15.

I have only been here twice, but at both times i am impressed with the food. No where am I saying this is the best buffet in town, but it is so much better than most buffet places like mitsui buffet and other chinese buffet places I tried in clovis and Fresno, and in fact even better than most places in LA and SF for the same price. the price is also very reasonable at 8 dollars per person. They have a huge selection of food, from sushi to the traditional Chinese food to the long line of buffet. I would recommend anyone in fresno to try this buffet. Again its not a 5 start buffet, but i prefer it to PANDAEXPRESS anyday

Thoroughly disappointed. I had eaten here soon after they opened and had a decent experience. So I decided since we were in the area to see a show at the Warnors, we would eat here beforehand. Tonight was awful. It took several minutes before we were even acknowleged and when we were finally seated we were left there with no instructions. We had to flag down the one waitress to place drink orders. Many of the selections at the buffet were well picked through and not filled the entire time were we there. My son had to wait more than five minutes to get a bowl so he could have some soup. Very few vegetarian options. I was even more embarrassed because I chose the place for a father /son night out. To make matters worse, I broke a month-long diet for this. I will not be back. All in all this was a crap start to a fun evening with my dad, brother, son, and nephews. Can’t go wrong with six guys watching The Three Stooges on the big screen.

The food is better than average for a buffet. Sushi can be ignored. Always in and out for lunch; no lines. Servers are good… expect your mom and pop age Chinese servers. Worth it for a chinese food fix but nothing to drive across town for. Location doesn’t look to be safe in the evening. Lunch for two with two soda was under $ 18.00.

First time here and for its location I was impressed. Large enough dining room with extra rooms for overflow. Service seemed good as they checked on us regularly. The warming tables are nice and clean and regularly checked by staff. The price was very reasonable for lunch. I look forward to coming back to check out the dinner menu.

Terrible place. I never even got to eat any of the food. I wanted to order ‘to go’ from the buffet, but apparently the owners find that insulting. The man and woman refused to let me pick my own items, instead following me around the buffet, impatiently asking«do you want this? Do you want this?» When I politely said this was making me uncomfortable and would prefer to box my own items, the woman curtly said«no» and continued to follow me around the buffet with the styrofoam box poining to the various items and asking if I wanted it. It was very creepy and uncomfortable. It’s like they didn’t trust me(what, am I going to spit in the food? Do they insist on holding the plate for the dine-in customers, too?). I’ve never encountered a chinese buffet where they wouldn’t let you box your own buffet items(then usually charged you either a flat rate for the box or charge you by weight). I felt so uncomfortable by the woman and another man’s behavior(the owners, presumably) that I ended up throwing up my hands and saying, «this is too weird for me, I can’t deal with this.» Then I walked out. My boyfriend had an equally bizarre experience about a week before my incident, when they got really offended when he asked to order off of the menu rather than the buffet. He’s vegetarian, and the buffet didn’t really offer anything he could eat. Well, they got into a huff when they had to get the menu, then after he ordered, they just stormed off, leaving him to wonder if they were actually going to make the food or not. These people are strange. I really would like to understand why they hate their customers so much. They just opened, so you would think they would like to be welcoming and get people to come back. I will never go there again(which is unfortunate, since I live at Iron Bird and would have gone there all the time, had they treated me better). DON’T GOTHERE!

Went here after seeing the coupons/ads in the Bee. This buffet occupies the building that the Luau was in. The Luau brings back sweet childhood memories of end of year parties that my family would attend. That was 35 years ago. Now the interior has been nicely remodeled. Although the exterior could use a going over, but that’s not really that critical. Being out of the main downtown area, there seems to be plenty of roadside parking available. The downtown farmer’s market used to be across the street, but that’s an empty lot these days. The selection is wide. I’d guess that there were about fifty different selections to be had. An OK salad bar, four different soups, various fried and steamed appetizers. sushi, main entrees, and desserts. The flavors are of a quality that I would expect from a decent local Chinese restaurant. I particularly liked the Black Bean Chicken, the Tomato Beef Curry, the Orange Chicken, the Chinese Brandied Fried Chicken, and the egg custard tarts(Dan Tan). Did I mention the price? $ 7.25(no drink) for a weekday lunch. In summary, this place needs to be on your list if an AYCE Chinese buffet sounds appealling, and you’re in n around the Downtown Fresno area.
