Mariscos Colima

Only gave it one star simply because the place was clean. Ordered the asada burrito and couldn’t finish it because the meat was too salty. Second and last time here. Will not come back again.

I’m only giving 1 star cuz I can’t give less. I took my husband here for his birthday cuz we love the food truck on Chestnut, but my goodness did I regret it! The food was so bad I took him elsewhere the next day to make up for taking him there. He got a burrito and 2 tacos and I didnt think something so simple could possibly ever taste wrong, BUT, I was discredited. The meat was bland and they skimped on it as well. I got a coctel which once again I didnt think could ever be made bad, and I was proven wrong once again. I think I used half the bottle of ketchup and tons of salt and lemon to give it some kind of flavor and nothing did it. I would have even been satisfied with it being a little salty but nothing. The beer was warm as well.

When the tacos are on sale is the time to come. You can get them for $ 1 on Wednesdays which is odd because most places do it on Tuesday. Any ways the beers can be a little pricey. The other good thing they have is a salsa bar. Its always stocked full of different salsa. The rice and beans are not bad either.

Me and my bf love coming here all the time. I love getting their tacos and my bf loves getting the steak burrito supreme. It’s a great restaurant. Very good quality and has never made me sick so I trust this place.

It’s not good when you’re sitting down, eating your food, and you start saying how El Pollo Loco taste better. Fast food should never be better than a sit down restaurant that is supposed to serve authentic Mexican food. My wife was craving a burrito, and debating between Chipotle and El Pollo Loco, but we were literally right next to Marisco’s, so we stopped in. It’s only my second time here. My job has had the food cart stop at our job a few times already, so I’m familiar with the name. But there’s something about this location that just doesn’t do it for me. My wife even said, «I try to like this place, I really do. I just don’t.» As I’m eating my taco salad with dried tasting meat, I concur. It was so unsatisfying. I remember why I haven’t been back. The specials look so good, it’s just not worth the disappointment

Very decent, quick Mexican food that was reasonably priced.

I like coming here on Wednesdays when they have their $ 1 tacos. That’s all I’ve ever gotten here actually. I love that they have a salsa bar, and the salsa is actually decent. Their guacamole is blended and at times spicy. They also serve coronaritas which are really good and decently priced.

I ordered the shrimp cocktail (that’s made with the pico) and added lime, salt, and tapatío. Unfortunately it was still lacking flavor. Carne asada was dry in my taco but my daughter loved the fried fish plate!

Customer service was good. I ordered chicken flautas plate. The few bites of rice were good, but the flautas, no. There was an odor, stale, possibly from the oil/​lard used to fry them. I took a bite anyways (risky, I know!). Chicken had a sour smell and sour taste with no seasoning what so ever. With restaurant experience and a sensitivity to ID smells for expired foods, etc., I didn’t bother taking it back, went straight to the trash. Customers can get sick! Unfortunately I will not be returning, unless I’m assured that fryer oil is changed often and food is dated and properly rotated to avoid expiration.

Great service and great food. I recommend the chicken tacos on corn tortillas. They were so good.

Wednesdays are our days here. Friendly staff, great food. I will stay that the music is insanely loud sometimes. Thursday special is great too.

Wow… salty…just salty. :-(It seemed like a bunch of kids working there who don’t care about the food really.
The rice seemed like it was flavored off of straight up salt water, and the fish tacos were making my lips react to the saltiness. It was pretty disappointing because I really wanted to like this place.

Food was on the lower end of mediocre. Pork was dry and tasteless, rice was bland, chicken was clearly unseasoned, tomatoes were old and mushy, guacamole was watery.
Girl at the register wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t friendly and didn’t smile.
Only good points were that the beans were okay and the food was done very quickly. Probably because they don’t waste time seasoning anything.
Overall, could have gotten three or even four stars if they just used fresh ingredients, a little seasoning, and had friendlier service.

They don’t wash their hands when going from the cashier to making food. Or from cleaning to making food. Tacos are good but they need a hygiene lesson. $ 1 tacos on weds. Other items are over priced.

I do not consider myself a good critic at all. I’m not not Mexican. But I do believe they need to do better on there food. I got a coctel Colima. But it should be change to coctel ketchup. I order oysters that smell bad! And the micheladas that was all water down. I don’t recommend this place also way overpriced for what you get

Rubbery shrimp tacos is all I have to say. There are so many options for good Mexican food, don’t waste your time here.

The chicken in my enchiladas was burnt to a crisp and SO dry. I’ve been here twice and was not very impressed with my meal this time around.

This place is pretty goos. Very fresh tasting and simple. If you want something fancy this is not your place. It’s not a big fancy restaurant so yes you have to buy your chips if you want them. Do it. They’re fresh and warm and delicious with any of the salsas from the salsa bar.
Now the food, I’ve had the shrimp tacos which were very good. The torta de asada, it was ok. I like a more street like torta and this was not it. The quesadillas are very good but holy moly the grease on last piece sitting on the bottom had me regretting my order. My hubby always gets the seafood dishes and he’s enjoyed them all except the ceviche.
The place is clean and the workers have always been friendly. So overall it’s not amazing but it’s good.

I was hoping to get my taco fix for the week but was sorely disappointed. The carnitas had so much fat, I filled one whole napkin with the crap I spit out from just two tacos. And it was like the meat was boiled…
