The food is very nice and a little expensive but the place worth the visit.

The view can be enjoyed from the terrace is magnificent, with the empire in the foreground. The cocktail is not cheap but I think the location will affect the prices. Definitely deserves a visit

Happy Hour review only– I am a big fan of Tioga Sequoia products, as well as Firestone, and they have pints of both for only THREEBUCKS during happy hour! Are you kidding me? Bartenders are friendly and you get a mixed bag of after work locals and tourists staying at the hotel. Spacious little bar and lounge, offering complimentary pretzels and spicy sweet mustard, as well as affordable and delicious appetizers too. Homemade onion rings, sliders, and even some Brussel sprouts with bacon, which is kind of odd, but definitely tasty..

service is outstanding. love the guys in the bar. have always enjoyed this place with my friends for friday happy hour. not so happy last night due to recent changes. manager has dropped the happy hour snacks and revamped the menu. not so good. brussell sprouts instead of fried green beans? really? no steak sandwich? wood toothpick in the martini, so gin tastes of wood? but mostly, dump the butcher paper that has replaced the glass on the beautiful wood tables. this place used to be a warm, cozy pub. now it looks like a cheap barbque joint or maybe someone is going to dump a pile of crabs in front of me. hate the paper. noisy, slippery, and ugly. please don’t change what works. the paper is annoying and ugly. i can’t relax and put my elbows on the table anymore.

Shady practice of charging extra for drinks on the rocks. Ordered jack & coke and they charged an extra dollar for the ice. At that time I have never heard of a bar or restaurant charging for the ice in a drink. Also, when I ordered I ask what the cost was of the drink, the waiting said $ 5, not disclosing the extra $ 1 for ice. I did a little research later about charging for ice. It seems that bigger clubs and bars in big cities(i.e. New York, LA, Chicago, ect.) do charge extra for ice. However, most reputable bars and clubs believe this is a shady and unethical practice. Also, not disclosing the extra when asked the cost is illegal and not listing the extra charge totally separate on the bill is also illegal. I would not go back to this restaurant. I don’t support shady practices because you don’t know what else the are ripping you off on. IT’S ALLABOUTTRUST!!! In the meantime, I hope they’ll reconsider this ice charge. Even if the food had been stellar and the service decent, we left that night feeling cheated. The waiter after complaining took the charge off the bill. A DOLLARFORICE? REALLY? WHAT’S NEXT $ 5FOR A/C and $ 5 for watching sports on their TV?

I went to the bar before we checked in after a long drive from Los Angeles. They have the Firestone 805 beer on tap so I had to try it. It was a good beer to have after that drive and to cool off from the +100 °F weather outside. The bar itself has this classic bar look where you would spend your time with friends to chat and have a beer. It felt relaxing and the bartenders were very helpful and attentive. I would definitely come back again for the hotel and the bar.

After a long drive to Fresno from SF, some co-workers and I decided to relax in Oliver’s for a little pre-dinner happy hour. Not only did we feel like the youngest people in the restaurant, we also felt like we were woefully underdressed. The potstickers were pretty groovy, but come on, that glass of chardonnay should NOT have been $ 12.
