Came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. Our knowledgeable waitress helped me select a beer based on my hoppie-ness preference. I had the Big Stump burger with Sweet Potato fries and Chili on the side. Oh, yes, and Beer. Awesome! I love the Tower District!

Went in there for a beer and some football. They had both. I had their porter. It was delicious, it had just the right amount of coffee flavor and just the right amount of alcohol content. It was a packed house. The raider fans were abundant but they seemed like a nice group. I sat at the bar where I met two nice gentleman that told me all about Fresno and the great things about this brewery. We all agreed that the Sequoia brewery has a great selection of beers, the food portions are huge and their happy hour is probably one of the best happy hours I’ve encountered thus far. However, I’ve only lived in Fresno for two weeks and coming from the Long Beach area anything is cheaper than eating and drinking there. I highly recommend this place. If you’ve read some of my reviews you will find that anything involving beer will have high ratings. With all that said, this place is really good.

Came here on a Friday night while visiting some family. They had a local band that brought in a large crowd so the place was packed and very loud. For being a bar/restaurant, they have a decent variety of food at great prices. Not to mention their wide selection of craft beers and 2 seasonal beers! The service was great and we’ll definitely be back.

11÷7÷15: Just your typical American diner-level food, with a fancier themed façade. I think a band was playing live that night, but honestly I forgot what kind of music they were playing. Food’s alright… Their beer has promise though(the real beer – not their«special» root beer which was quite average)… 1. Handcrafted Rootbeer $ 2.75: Apparently one of their specialties. Unfortunately not special tasting. Was okay, but didn’t taste too different than the more popular canned sodas other than having less fizz. 5⁄10. 2. Black Oak Porter $ 4.85: Good beer. I didn’t take tasting notes, but I did like it quite a bit. Rich and smokey. 6⁄10. 3. Sangria $ 9.24: Comes in a huge goblet. Tastes good, but nothing special in particular. 5⁄10. 4. Bleu Cheese Steak Bites $ 11.99: Pretty good tasting. The beef was tender and juicy and the sauce was tasty. Not overly bleu-ey. The presentation was kinda messy though. 6⁄10. 5. Log Jammer(potato skins, homemade mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, fried green beans, garlic fries) $ 15.99: Hmmmm… surprisingly good for a sampler appetizer of standard American stuff! Amazingly well cooked for this sort of thing. The mozzarella sticks were fried so crispy and the cheese was so melty and fresh – very rarely is it this good! The rest was quite good too. 7⁄10 6. Lumberjack Ribs $ 14.99: Your typical cafeteria ribs. Simple as that. 3⁄10. 7. Ribeye Steak $ 24.99: Denny’s level steak. Thin and overly lean meat for a ribeye(very little marbling). You get a ribeye for a generous dose of interstitial fat, so in this case I would say it’s closer to sirloin. I asked for medium-rare, was closer to medium-well. But despite not being too overcooked to the point of being like beef-jerky, it was still rough and dry. It might taste like Denny’s but costs a lot more. So… 3⁄10. 7a. Cheese /Tortilla Soup?(came with the steak): I liked it. Good flavor. 6⁄10. So, food-wise ain’t nothing special. Main courses sucked. I have to say though, our server was really nice! 3⁄5 #american

Actually visited SBC in September but found out about Unilocal recently and wanted to post a review to warn others. First off the food was great, however the service was horrible. After we were seated on the patio, it took about an 40 – 60 minutes before the waitress arrived to take our order. After she got our order, it took about 30 – 40 minutes before we got our food. After she delivered our food we literally never saw her again. After waiting about another 40 – 60 minutes with no service, we had to flag down an employee just to pay our bill. Like I said, the food is great. However avoid busy times as you might be waiting quite a while.

I’ve been there before for the beer, and had a couple appetizers and it was good. Last night we just went for dinner. Maybe because it was a Sunday they were off their game or something, but it was so bad I felt I needed to share. My moms ham sandwich was literally bread, meat, and cheese. She had to track down our waiter to ask for condiments. My 8 year old makes better sandwiches! My wife ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich. The«steak» was cream of meat mixed with barely cooked onions and way too much cheese. It was almost inedible! My Chinese chicken salad was super heavy on the sauce, so much that I never put the dressing on. I know, don’t go to an American grill and order Chinese !! Service was decent, but I’m sure they knew how crap their food was Thank you for your response. 1. Yes, I should have said something but it was late and I was tired. I still had an hour drive home 2. My tip reflects how much I appreciate good service, because that is what we got. We will come again, it’s a great atmosphere and great beer. I should have ordered one of your tasty burgers instead of a salad. I upped the review because you cared enough to respond. Thank you

Good beers, good food, good music, good vibe. I’ve gone multiple times to hear bands and hang out with friends. This is also my favorite local place to watch football on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of tvs and not a bad seat in the house. Consistently good service and always clean atmosphere as well. The only minus I can point out is the bathrooms(one room bathroom, not cool when they’re busy)

Beer is good. The music was good as well. The steak bites and the sauce The flies were out of control. Truth is, the Stars were for the one cold beer and the live music… To answer your q: yes my review was posted shortly after leaving. Thanks.

This was a great place to meet friends, enjoy a beer sampling or a just sip on cold favorite! I had a spicy shrimp taco and fried pickles for the table, all were tasty and the service was both knowledgeable and prompt! Our waiter even remembered what beer I ordered when I forgot the name, but wanted another(don’t judge! LOL). Nice atmosphere, good service, cold brews and cool air = a mighty fine place to be!

Still my favorite brewery pub brewing and serving great beer. Best burger in town. Piled high and cooked to order.

Always a great place to eat or just enjoy a local brew, I had the Buckeye burger with fries, and It hit the spot… two beers later and I was smiling all the way home. The Tower District is a cool place to hang out, and the service here is top notch,(thanks Eric). Enjoy.

Sat at the bar, great friendly service. The session saison was killer, grassy fresh and clean. The pale was also great, nice balance.

I LOVE sequoia! Drink local, eat local, live local. Their on tap beer selection is second to none and their food is fresh and incredible every time. Last time I came on date night with my sweetie and we both had two beers and more than enough food for around 60 bucks. Wasn’t bad and the portions were substantial. Come for the beer… stay for the friendly service and delicious food.

I’m a snob. The double Rye 8.6 was on the upper end in ABV which is always nice. The food was under par as was the service. If your looking for a high quality beer then do not rule this label out. But if your looking for great food and service look elsewhere.

Came for car show with our 5 month old baby in astroller. The«hostess» was literally discriminating against us because we had a baby. Rude from the moment we walked in. Told us that we needed to «move that stroller» because OSHA was coming. What in the world does workplace safety have to do with customer service? Get a new hostess. One that respects families. Paid $ 14 for 2 drinks and she basically kicked us out. If I lived in this town you can bet I would be calling bbb, chamber of commerce etc to complain. Moral, leave your babies at home because the grumpy hostess in the purple shirt isn’t going to seat you with a stroller. Very disappointing

Loved my experience here. Casual, cool spot to hang out and have a good time. Came for lunch with a friend. I was really surprised there was a happy hour on a Saturday from 1pm-4pm, margarita was great! Strong, not to sweet, nice citrus balance. I got the grilled chicken(with avocado and bacon) sandwich. Very tasty, chicken was a tad dry but ok. They serve their burgers dry, so if you like mayo or any other sauce, you have to ask for it. The wedges it comes with were BOMB, crispy on the outside and not dry at all. Would love to come back!

Excuse me while I take a few minutes out of my busy day to lay accolades upon this wonderful dining establishment. My first actual dining experience was at the tower location on a Sunday morning, the one day they serve breakfast. Our service was quick and our waiter(Brandon) was extremely friendly and helpful. He came back to see how we were doing at least 5 times over the course of our stay. As for the food, this waffle was easily the best waffle I’ve probably ever had. It was very light and fluffy, and it wasn’t greasy in the slightest. My husband got the breakfast burrito, and I’m not a breakfast burrito person, but it was /delicious/. I would gladly order it on my own! I think it’s the potatoes-they were fabulous. I’ll have to come back for a lunch someday, but it is very likely I’ll be back here on a Sunday for another waffle. Keep doing what you’re doing, Sequoia!

Hubby & I stopped here on our way to Yosemite to take a break from driving and cool down. Glad we did! We only got a flight but would definitely be willing to stop by again. Super cool vibe, good prices, nice staff, and plenty of beers(mostly theirs and Tioga-Sequoia) on tap. Love how they decorated the place! Downsides: Dogs aren’t allowed on the patio. Bummer for us bc ours had to stay in the Jeep(hence the quick tasters). Also, I was really excited to try the pomegranate beer and thought that it tasted a bit bland(others were good though).
