Starbucks

Prepare to be met by a vapid and vacant stare. You probably won’t be greeted in any way, but when you ask if they’re ready, you’ll be met with an eye roll and a grunt. The neighborhood is sh*t and the people hanging out in here are pretty gross. There’s a nice Teavana a block over and an indie coffee place on the same block-​head to one of those instead.

Coming here almost ever morning, this morning crew which typically consist of Timmy, Brook and Matt always make my start in the right foot!
They know «Captain Fun’s» drink and have it ready every time I walk in the door. These guys are a great group of hard working individuals that set the standard for other Starbucks employees to emulate!

I love this Starbucks. Staff are great, it’s small, and most importantly they are conveniently located and open early. They are the only coffee shot open in the tower before 7am!

If you want a rude dullard to take your order (as I just experienced)…by all means go to Tower Starbucks… the counter person forgot part of my order and when I let her know, I did not get as much as a «sorry about that» If you want fast friendly service, make the drive to the Manchester Starbucks.

My favorite Starbucks location! I’ve talked from coast to coat and have been glad to get consistently good service and coffee. However; the Tower’s Starbucks is by far one of the best! Just order a cup and take a table, the rich culture of Fresno’s Tower district is sure to brighten you day.

Terribly rude and unhelpful. Find a different Starbucks. Didn’t really listen to order and took offense when they got it wrong. Tried to seem busy, but were rather lazy. Nice bathrooms though. Rather clean place. In short: Nice place, Terrible staff!

Dirty on the outside, rude servers on the inside & not the best coffee. I went in with a friend and we both payed attention the how snobby the cashier was. It’s cold in here to. I guess if you’re looking for a quick place to get a coffee this would be the place to go, but it’s for sure not my choice of Starbucks.

Store was ok, but a bit bland. The Staf could have been a bit more friendly… The coffee… Let’s just say we had a hard time telling by taste which drink was which :(the Caffe Late, Carmel Machiato, & White Chocolate Mocha all tasted the same. Good thing they write on the cups!

The barista skipped my order when one of the regulars came in and ordered after me! So disappointed!

Although it might not really fit in here, the crowd that comes to this sbux really is all tower: A mix of students, professionals, locals, families, a few bums, weekend bikers, and so on. Not really the typical crowd, and I can see why that would put non-​tower people off, but it’s usually a good atmosphere. A few people are a little too friendly, though.
Service and drink quality is generally good, with an occasional off day. (I don’t buy the food.) It’s always been clean and a seat or two available for me. When they get busy, though, they get REALLY busy, since it’s usually understaffed. I’ve seen lines out the door during big events.

Eh to Starbucks. It just doesn’t fit Tower, but people seem to gravitate to the place and I will never disparage a place bringing money into the neighborhood. That said there is a very cute manager with an amazing beard that makes it worth a stop from time to time.

it’s starbucks. what can i say? It’s right at Olive street. There were snooty servers before but I haven’t seen them for a while, that’s why I started going back here for my small coffee once a week when i walk my dog. Most of the time, you’ll see a homeless guy outside. (i say that because I feel so bad about myself for spending about 5 bucks for a coffee and then ignoring this old guy) I know I’m sounding like a bitch, because I probably am, but when I buy my coffee, i’d rather not have the guilt trip that comes with it when i get it from here. Don’t come here on a sunday morning – lots of motorcycle people that rebels against the mainstream society but loves their starbucks. (i can’t put it together in my head, so just try to imagine it for yourselves). But hey, you can always stay inside the building. The bathroom, is barely maintained. Not like Teazers bathroom at all. I say, If I’m going to drink poo inducing drinks, i’m going to drink it where there’s a nice bathroom. With that said – I always get my coffee to go.

Since there are plenty of good to great cafes in and around the Tower and they all do it better than Starbucks, I rarely stop in here. When I do, I run the gauntlet of bums and cigarette smoke and end up wondering why this place has the slowest service in town. Without a drive-​up window to service and always 3 people behind the counter, you’d think they’d whip out beverages faster than anybody. Not so. Staff dish out the craporate brand friendliness and the Americanos will do in a pinch but really why bother?

This location is closest to me, but often the coffee doesn’t taste quite right, and sometimes the clientèle doesn’t invite me to want to stay and hang, KWIM? But for running in and recharging, it works for me!

The problem with this Starbucks is inconsistent quality. Sometimes service is good and the drinks are fine, other times not. They lock up the bathrooms, which is a pain. Once I was relaxing with my drink and reading my newspaper when I was rudely ordered to move by an employee so he could replace a lightbulb. I thought that was tacky and off putting.

The coffee is drinkable but always tastes over-​roasted. The only thing I get on a regular basis is the caramel apple cider. I usually go to one of the local places down the street.

Of all of the Starbucks in Fresno this is the only one that consistently makes my daily drinks correctly. Every employee that I have encountered has given me great customer service, specifically Bill (he’s great!) The service and consistency of the drinks is so good that I’m willing to go there when I would much rather go to a drive-​thru Starbucks! Thanks Tower Starbucks!

I went in today and there’s now signage on the patio that says «no smoking» AND all the bums are gone. Yay.

Last August I had two iced lattes there one morning while playing chess with a friend of mine. Four hours later I was throwing up so hard that I broke dozens of tiny blood vessels around my eyes. I know the lattes were to blame because they were the only things I’d had in my stomach that day.
