Trash management absolutely horrendous. It’s like the nazi régime in there. The wine bottle is not served to par of restaurant. Poured completely incorrectly which is the managers fault not the servers. I’m not going back until they are under new management. Good day!

This restaurant has great food but terrible service. Their short rib parpadelle and all their pizzas are phenominal. However, usually their service is slow. My boyfriend and I have been here before with slow service. Today, however was exceptionally bad at 5pm as we arrived prior to peak hours. We were seated by the hostess, but no one even greeted us for 15 minutes or asked us if we wanted drinks. We were extremely disappointed, the restaurant was not busy. We decided to try another restaurant instead and saw all the servers standing around chatting by the bar. Unfortunate because we really enjoy their food. Very disappointed with their service.

Very disappointed that we went here at 8:25PM today for an after dinner drink and gelato and were turned away. We were told the restaurant was closing. According to Unilocal the restaurant closes at 9:00PM today. It is hard to be loyal to a restaurant that doesn’t honor their business hours.

As much as I love the classic Italian décor of Piazza Del Pane, with its gorgeous high ceilings, lush interior decorated with minute details of wood and metal work, almost resembling a classical Italian café(which Im sure would make for a fancy romantic date place), I find myself a little underwhelmed when it comes to the desserts that I’ve tried as far, although I was also not disappointed or discourage to repeat a visit. Im yet to explore and savor its immense menu, but my preliminary experience with the dessert has been somewhat underwhelming, and the reason being: it lacks the essence of being authentic to the Italian cuisine, in other words its americanized(its not a bad thing if one was to enjoy such flare, however when I go to an Italian place– especially this one, since its décor look authentic, I expect that authentic theme to follow) I tried 2 desserts while on my visit(with an initial interest of trying 3 selections, however the third selection was out of the question, since they were out). The two I managed to try was the baked hot chocolate $ 5.50 and Tiramisu $ 6. My favorite being the baked hot chocolate since it was absolutely unique. The hot chocolate tasted somewhat like lava cake, yet it still had the strong chocolatey and creamy taste of common hot chocolate, it was absolutely divine to be able to savor a drink as a solid dessert. It was served in a cup, and it was topped with whipped cream, it almost looked like a normal hot chocolate, yet once i fiddled my spoon in the cup, a chocolate gooey and somewhat solid texture emerged. It was soft, and almost melts in my mouth upon contact. The tiramisu — a dessert that should be a signature at this restaurant(given that its Italian in theme) was a little damper. Yes it tasted fine, but it was mediocre at best. The tiramisu I had on that day tasted aged, it was too dense and dry in my opinion like a day old tiramisu would taste. A great tiramisu usually is light as air, and creamy. It was also weird that the tiramisu was served in a bowl instead of it being freestanding or maybe a glass, it clearly lacked presentation right away. The sweetness through was on point, as it was sweet yet enjoyable. The espresso shot in this dessert seemed really weak in my opinion, there should be an intense flavor as it hits my tongue, the tiramisu here leaves me without passion in other words. I will be back to sample more of its affordable menu offerings($ 5-$ 20) and bask in its gorgeous ambience. Plus the parking was no sweat, since there is plenty located in its private lot. Service was overall good, and friendly. I think the only thing they need to fix here is their tiramisu for now. However I will be back soon to try more and give more insight on Piazza Del Pane.

Had my daughter’s sweet 16 here last night. It could not have gone any smoother. The management was very professional and the service was superb!

We kept passing by this restaurant so we decided to stop in for lunch. The building has the look of an Italian villa thus is visually appealing. I ordered the Red Diamond Merlot and the girlfriend had the Whistlepig Manhattan. We both ordered the Grilled mahi mahi. The food was good, not great and I have no complaints. The service was good and the girlfriend’s Manhattan was a solid drink, not watered down, which I appreciated

I ate here for the first time and came for the sunday brunch. We arrived fairly early at 9:30 am and were seated without a problem.(After 10:30 it really filled up though) Originally since it was a beautiful morning we tried to sit out at the outdoor patio, however the chairs they have outside are cheap aluminum with no back support and we could not stand it after only two minutes so opted instead to sit inside.(It was too bad as otherwise the patio is a great place to enjoy a meal on a beautiful day). The atmosphere and décor is beautiful and comfortable on the inside with plenty of wait staff to offer service, so after moving inside we were immediately asked for our drink orders and served quickly. Since it was a buffet brunch we could all go up at our leisure which was nice. Our wait staff were quick to clear plates and refill drinks throughout the meal, however we felt as though the waitress was a bit annoyed when we asked if she could please provide a separate check for one person in our party of 4 who is a traveler and needs to save receipts for her work expense account.(we asked this BEFORE placing any orders so we are not sure why it seemed like a big deal). Food wise, there was a great variety of food from the usual breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, french toast(btw the french toast was the best I have had in a long time. Nice and crisp on the outside!) but they also had several pasta dishes, an omelette station, chicken, chicken fingers, tater tots, fresh fruit, green salads, and about 4 different desert items. We did not know until the end that the brunch price included their gelato’s, so make sure you save some room. We were all quite full but they were kind enough to give us a small cup to go. Not the best gelato I have had but it was okay.(we had the Tiramisu which was sprinkled with cinnamon instead of espresso powder so that the cinnamon overpowered the flavor and it did not taste at all like a tiramisu gelato — we also had the coffee which was good but could have had a bit more coffee flavor– the cheesecake was good with bits of crust and berry filling swirled in — the vanilla was great — the pistachio was also great) Two of us also ordered some specialty coffees — The Americano was good but we had to ask the waitress to bring us cream and sugar substitute — The cappuccino tasted like they used non fat milk and they did not add any milk to the espresso. Basically it was a large espresso with a bunch of foam on top — not creamy at all like a cappuccino should be –it would be much better made with whole mile or cream). Prices were very reasonable. Seniors are $ 10.99, Regular $ 15.99 and you can add bottomless champagne or mimosas for an additional $ 6.99 All in all it was a good experience and I hope to be back again!

Went few times for the Sunday brunch and really like it. In addition to the regular eggs bacon stuff the pasta is great. I love the Pesto one. The salad and fruits are fresh and the sweets are delicious. Oh, don’t forget to get a free Gelato came with the brunch. The price is reasonable compared with lots other places. Good service and mimosa in a big wine glass all you can drink for $ 6.00. I would go back every week.

This place is kind of hit and miss. The roast beef dip sandwich is the best I’ve ever had — and it’s my favorite kind of sandwich, but other things are just ok. Their sweet potato fries are also amazing.

Hi Had the pleasure of dining at Piazza Del Pane a couple of weeks ago. Iam writing the review becasue I want all ofyou to know that the SERVICE is impeccable. The FOOD was delicisous, timely and well presented. Our server, Marcel, managed our large group with such character, with a smile and was knowledgable about the menu. He enjoys what he does in his family’s restaurant and took pride inmaking sure we were taken care of. The patio seating was lovely. I highly recommend this establishment for your groups. I’m sure the seating inside and service there was also good. Thank you, Marcel!

I’ve heard so many mixed things about this place but finally got to try it out and I really like it! The bread was delicious!!! I had a shrimp fettuccini and it was very good! Had a peach cobbler with dessert and it unfortunately did NOT come with a scoop of ice cream(or gelato in their case) so that was the only crappy part but the cobbler was tasty still! I’ll be back!

We went for lunch on Mon 2⁄15. We had an overall good experience. We went to the Cedar & Nees location. We sat outside in the patio next to the water fountain. The ambience was nice except for the street noise from cars passing and the car wash blower from across the street. The noise level was average, I would have liked less noise but the service and food was worth the visit. The service was excellent! Dave our server was professional, prompt and came back several times to make sure we had everything we needed! Thanks Dave! The food was great! We enjoyed some appetizers(sweet potato fries, caprese salad and the bacon wrapped shrimp) yum! We ordered the brick oven pizzas, thin crust and delicious! I would definitely go again and again! We have guests from San Diego, they commented that the place was a great pick! I forgot to mention: the chairs in the outdoor patio were very uncomfortable! New chair design is needed for comfort and to be able to have a favorable overall experience.

The dining room is very cozy by the fireplace. I was seated immediately at my choice of table and given excellent service. Though it was slow at 4:30 in the afternoon, my server, Danielle, was very quick and helpful. A busser lit all the tabletop candles, adding to the ambiance. I got their mocha latte, nice and foamy, perfect strength, and delicious. The Caesar salad had fresh lettuce, tart dressing, and crunchy croutons. The lasagna was different – steak as well as sausage in it – and the sauce was very thin. The flavor was delicious, and they had a ton of mozzarella in it, but not enough ricotta, making the whole dish chewy instead of creamy; that’s my only complaint. The noodles were perfectly done, and the dish was enough for two. The pistachio gelato tastes like Italy’s! Finally, the real thing! Rich, creamy, good flavor. Love it! Even as I was getting ready to go, my server got everything boxed up quickly and kept my glass full. I will definitely bring people here for a nice dinner in the future. :D

My husband and I went here one night for our weekly date night. We had gotten a gift certificate a few weeks earlier and we like to try new(to us) places. The waiters there were very pleasant. The food was oh so good too. The free bread they brought over was yummy with the garlic butter, We also tried the fried artichokes which were AMAZING too! We can’t say enough good things about this place. You should be seeing us there again soon. Thanks!

I am not sure why people give this place such a bad rating. I went for my second time this past Sunday for brunch. The prices were good. Bottomless mimosas yum for an additional $ 5 to the Buffett price. There is a good selection of breakfast and lunch food. The staff from the hostess to the waitresses were super nice, in both occasions that we showed up. Will come back.

I have made my dislike of the Palm location well known, but now I can add this location to the list as well. I was recently at a private event that was held on their patio, and it seemed like for the money they charge, this is a terrible place to go. When I arrived we had to sweep all of the leaves off the ground ourselves, arrange tables, basically do lots of stuff that it would seem to me should be done by the place you are paying to hold a function at. I am told that the only option given for the food was some salad and sandwiches, no hot meal option was available.(Despite the fact that on this very Unilocal page it shows people having a buffet with hot food.) The sandwiches were served in a deli tray that was just set down on a table, and the salads were just in two large bowls. It looked as if we just bought a party tray of sandwiches from Costco and made our own salad, nothing was done to even attempt to make it look nice. Our waitress was nice and seemed like she was taking care of everyone, but the experience as far as the food and other services offered was less than impressive. I didn’t think it was possible to dislike Piazza Del Pane anymore than I already did, but it looks like I was wrong, I can!

My girl friend(Ida) and I recently went to a rehearsal dinner at Piazza Del Pane. Nice looking restaurant! Nice quaint bar with friendly bartenders! Nice happy hour! Piazza Del Pane doesn’t remind me of Panera Bread although it does have a bakery and they do serve some of the same items. The ambience is way better than Panera. You would have to be from Fresno to even compare them ambience wise. The service is way better than Panera. You would have to be from Fresno to compare them service wise. Piazza Del Pane serves ALCOHOL, Panera serves watered down ice tea. I rather enjoyed Piazza Del Pane until the food was served. The salad was not one of my favorites and both choices of pastas were more salty tasting than anything else. I am on a low sodium diet so maybe it was just me because everyone else seemed to really enjoy the pasta. Unfortunately, Ida’s father collapsed in the middle of the party turning Piazza Del Pane into Plaza of Pain. Who knows, maybe all that sodium in the pasta gave him a heart attack? :-)

This restaurant became the well chosen back drop for an important family gathering,(in more ways than one). My nephew and his future bride arranged an after wedding rehearsal dinner here, that was reserved in the covered patio area. The evening was warm and beautiful, so being outside was very comfortable. My boyfriend and I arrived on time; however the wedding rehearsal turned out to be an hour late. To pass the time, we decided to enjoy a cocktail in the lounge and watch some baseball on their over head flat screen TV. Fortunately for us, it was Happy Hour so we ordered some $ 5.00 drinks. I had a Pane Patron Margarita while my boyfriend got a Grey Goose Martini. The bar tenders were very nice to us and made polite small talk while we relaxed at the bar. When our private party arrived, we met everyone in the patio area. There was a simple buffet set up for everyone to serve themselves. I don’t know the names of the dishes served, but the food was delicious! We had two types of pasta and some sort of Italian salad along with fresh bread and butter. My dad was really enjoying the food as he got up to get second helpings. This is unusual for him, because he’s not a big eater. Then, as we were all socializing, our happy occasion turned into one of the scariest times of my life! My elderly father suddenly turned very pale, got sick and passed out! Needless to say my sister and I were in panic mode! Luckily we had a family of doctors and nurses amongst us, but little could be done until the ambulance arrived. During the commotion, staff members of the restaurant rushed over to help out when they could. While I’m sure no restaurant wants to have an illness happen at their facility especially in the vicinity of other patrons, I want to thank them for trying their best to make my dad comfortable before the paramedics arrived. My dad recovered quickly, and said that he was OK and just over ate. Trying to make light of the situation, we joked that he went into a food coma because he enjoyed the food too much! It turned out that his heart rate dropped concernedly lower than normal for a still as yet unknown reason, so we will be monitoring him a lot closer from now on! Thank you Piazza Del Pane for being there for us «in sickness and in health»!
