I doubt really know how to rate them, never met my actual title people. The bank I was working with was annoyed by their lack of communication, but don’t know much about that other than hearing my bank grumble that they were holding things up. Loved the Notary, she is fantastic!

The title company was difficult to work with and provided VERY poor customer service! I dealt with Rosie and Cindy at the office and they seemed to be very irritated when you had to talk to them. They were SO fricking rude!!! It was not just towards me either, everyone who dealt with them said the same thing! I will never do business there again and astray others from going there!!!

I had a great escrow with Placer Title. There were a few bumps along the way and they handled them quickly and professionally. My purchase closed in time with no escrow extensions necessary.

If I could give Placer Title a zero star review, I would. I have worked with 2 other title companies in the past that did thorough work, paper signing with the escrow officer, polite and professional services. Placer Title is the EXACTOPPOSITE!!! STAYAWAY! Our realtor happened to go with them, and I wish I would have read the previous review here prior to the appointment. I showed up ten minutes early and was waiting in the car for my husband, and observed a man pacing in the entryway, staring at me. This lasted a couple of minutes and then he began poking his head out of the entry way, looking at me. No words, no smiles, purely strange. I went in and the receptionist told me that this man would be meeting with me. He told me to follow him, no handshake, no introduction, and asked if my husband would be on time because he had somewhere to be. I should’ve rescheduled and left then. BUT I didn’t. The next 20 minutes was RIDICULOUS. He proceeded to literally shove papers at us to sign, slide pens and paperclips across the table at us, not make eye contact, and cut us off when we spoke. When we had questions, he didn’t know any of the answers because he was«just the notary» and told us just to sign anyway. After he could not explain a 2000 charge, when asked 3 times, and kept telling me to just sign it. I refused and told him I wouldn’t sign without an explaination. He became irritated and stormed out of the room to find the excrow officer. I should’ve left or rescheduled then, BUT I didn’t. Meanwhile I’m calling my realtor who was helping me more than anyone at the title company. During the call, in comes a man, no handshake, no how can I help you, tapping his foot, talking over us, James! He does quickly explain it, never sits, is in a hurry and is irritated. NEVERDIDWEACTUALLYSEEORMEETANDESCROWOFFICER! When it was all said and done, again no thank you, no handshake, no we’ll notify you when it closes. NOTHING! Do not use this title company. James and Nick are incapable of following instructions, and offer poor customer service. Both seem to have minimal experience dealing with any issue that is not simple and straightforward. I urge you to insist that your agent uses a different escrow company. If your agent must use Placer, find a new agent. Placer left a horrible taste in my mouth upon the completion of a recent transaction. They nickel and dime the experience and feel entitled to your funds. They act as though they are doing you the favor in the sale of a house. I did not know any better at the beginning. Now I do. I would even speak to an escrow agent yourself instead of letting your agent decide. Just don’t use Placer.
