Great Korean food, for what they have on their menu. They also do to go orders which is nice.

Our party of four came in about 7pm on a Friday night. They were a full house but had a few tables available that needed to be cleaned up before we could be seated. There is no «hostess desk» so usually you would wait in the doorway until one of the servers notices you and gets you seated. When we walked in, the server was in the kitchen so I walked up to the cashier window where the owner was busily working at and told her I needed a table for four. She gladly came out and bussed a table for us to be seated. +1 point for prompt and courteous service. We ordered Ja Jang Myung(black bean noodles), orange chicken bowl, kalbi plate, teriyaki chicken bowl, spicy chicken(?) appetizer, and iced coffee(Korean style). The black bean noodle dish was tasty. It was very rich and flavorful, yet not too salty. It was a bit oily but maybe that’s how the dish is supposed to be. In the black bean sauce, there was cabbage, squash, onion, and pork. The noodles were slightly chewy and tender. And the dish came out piping hot(be careful!). It was good, even my picky-eater kids liked it too. Kalbi plate-generous portion. Meat was tender and flavorful. The fried rice was unique(probably because it had a Korean flair versus typical Chinese food). The HB enjoyed it and was stuffed. Teriyaki chicken-generous portion, piping hot and fresh. I didn’t try it, but looked good. The chicken was not drenched in sauce rather it was drizzled with sauce. Also, there’s an option to make it «spicy» for all you spice lovers. Orange chicken bowl-generous portion, piping hot and fresh. It was okay. It did have a good orange flavor to it, but I would skip it next time. This is a Korean restaurant, you should order something Korean. :) Spicy chicken appetizer – piping hot(I burnt my mouth) and fresh. Spicy, sweet, finger lickin good. It was boneless white meat chicken. Didn’t get soggy. Iced coffee«Korean style” – I had to try this because of the Korean style disclaimer on the menu(I was curious and intrigued). Coffee flavor was good and strong. It was sweetened and mixed with some cream as well. It had a distinct taste different from that of Thai style Iced coffee. Overall good. I would recommend if you’re craving for some iced coffee. At the end of our meal, the nice owner packed our food for us(we had lots of leftovers due to the generous portions and the fact that we could no longer stuff our faces). I definitely would return to this place and try out their other dishes. FYI: The place is quaint(only about 10 tables tops). It seems like this place would probably accommodate parties of 2 – 8 guests, so if you have a party of 10+, it is hard to tell if you’d all get to sit together.

Had the combination ramen, the broth was great. HUGEPORTION! But my bowl had an abnormal amount of octopus, I do like octopus but there was A LOT! Felt bad that I didn’t eat it all but it was just too much, the ratio to the other protein was really off. Friend had a noodle dish that looked delicious and she ate every bit. The service was good and prompt for only 2 servers. It’s a small space so don’t go with too large of a group. Over all enjoyed it and will be returning to have my husband give it a try!

Food are ok. But worst service ever. There is only one waiter or two and they don’t know what they are doing. I had to ask for water for couple of times to get it. The food served all different time. I just wanted try this place first time and I was sad that I had bad experience with this place.

I Loveeee this place! And the ahjummas what work there! My friends and I go so often that they know our names. My favorite is the Jjampong. It’s a seafood noodle soup, not necessarily the seafood ramen(they have a specific seafood ramen). My first time here, I tried the squid udon stirfry and it waa . the pork udon stirfry is also good. Their jajangmyun is super good as well. If you like the bean paste taste, it is not as strong as other places, but I personally favor their jajangmyun over other places ive tried here in Fresno. If you are debating about this place, try it out. Everytime I come, I only order the Jjampong but I should try other dishes. Their portions are huge for it’s price(especially compared to other korean restaurants in town). Try it out!

Great Korean restaurant in fresno. You can taste the best flavor of Korean food. Specially i’d like to recommend the jampong. You will not regret for your choice for any food at all.

Still the best ramen noodle with the most flavorful broth. Regular to spicy! Kim chi is home made and best ever! Love the veggie and seafood ramen!

This place is garbage we came in a large group of 18 ppl, and they told us we can only 4 plate and share the food like family style, they said because we are a large group they couldn’t take individual order because it would take too long and they have other customer to worry about… Obviously they don’t value us as a customer…

I was there today with Morticia and we both really liked it. I had the Beef Ramen and she had a Beef Bulgogi Bowl. The portion size was very large for the ramen and a bit less so for the bulgogi. It’s been six hours now and we are both still full with zero interest in dinner. Both dishes had great flavor. I’m a veteran of many years of eating phở and this is quite different. There is a very interesting depth of flavor that is not present in phở. It is very, very good and I’m looking forward to having it again. The bulgogi and rice bowl was also very good and quite filling. Service was good and the servers were very cordial. We are both eager to return and possibly try some different things.

The place is small but clean! Service was okay. Food was good, but could be better in some areas. They open at 11am, and so we got to their doors right when they opened. And i didnt like how it smelled like bleach there. I mean for a restaurant, it’s not appetizing to smell bleach. We had the beef bulgogi with fried rice. The beef was dry, but the fried rice was really good. We also had ja jang myun, which tasted alright. Ive never had it before this, and to me it tasted alright. And my husband ordered us combo ramen. I wish i ordered ramen too, bcuz it was actually good! I hesitated to order ramen, bcuz in my previous experience in another restaurant, ramen tasted nasty. But when i tasted Rock N Noodle’s ramen, i knew I finally found a restaurant where i’d be confident to order a bowl of ramen, and not worry about the taste. Watch out! Their serving size for noodles is really big!

Back again to try the Chicken Ramen this time. Hot Soup on a cold day is perfect, Rose is crazy for the Salad and the Chicken Fried Rice. Very Friendly staff and excellent food, and fast Service. I still need to bring my Babes here, he would like this food.

We were Very impressed with the Quality AND Quantity of Seafood in the Seafood Combo Ramen. Tasty Smoky spicy broth. Very unique flavor. Expect your wait to be well worth it. Note: this place is not baby friendly. A changing table would have warranted a higher rating.

Giving this place a second try and I’m glad I did! Food is great. Generous portions and everything tasted excellent! Last time we got the black bean noodles which I wasn’t a fan of. But this time we had the beef bulgogi bowl and the chicken chow mein with the side of Kim chi and egg soup. So yummy!

If you want a bowl of good korean ramen… this is the place to come. For the people that are used to Japanese ramen, this one has a lighter broth and a lot of vegetables(overall cabbage). The ramen noodles are so good, you can see their freshness in the kind of transparency and shine. The restaurant is a mid size but it gets full very fast. Sometimes you’ll need to wait. The service is ok… I think the waitress gets overwhelm with the amount of customers and she cannot keep up serving the dishes plus getting orders and filling the water. I would say that they need 2 more waitresses /waiters to help her. I would recommend this restaurant to any ramen lover. They have rice bowls with different kind of bulgogi too.

Worst place ever! As a first time customer, I’ve never experience a worst costumer service. Even a crappy restaurant, would do better and serve their costumers. Me and my friend literally waited for not 1 but 2 hours for our food worst part is they forgot our food. I could write a long story, but all i can say is that this is the worst place to eat korean food.

Hubby and I came into this restaurant and we both ordered a seafood ramen for lunch and when our order arrived, we were surprised at how large the bowl was. The seafood ramen was very good and the server asked us how spicy we wanted. The spiciness of the broth was perfect. Our food came quickly. Service was good. I would definitely come back.

Rock and Noodles is the place to go for Korean and Japanese Fusion in Fresno, this place emulates Japanese and Korean dishes pretty well. They have everything from Ramen, to teriyaki chicken, to Korean BBQ plates and the famous black bean noodles. The food I tried was the Teriyaki Chicken Plate for $ 9.50 and the black bean noodle or also known as Ja — Jang –Myeon for $ 9.50. The dish was generously portioned, Teriyaki chicken was plentiful, and the tasty Chinese style fried rice accompanying this dish could honestly feed 2. The noodle were in a very huge bowl and again very huge portions, had chunks of meat and veggies in it too. The teriyaki chicken plate came with a side salad. The taste of the chicken teriyaki was not the best, a little on the dry side, and had too much black pepper, but than again I should have not ordered this if I came here, I should have ordered ramen, thats my bad, nevertheless the dish was decent and I could eat it. The Noodles were good, and had a very soothing flavored black bean sauce. Its definitely not the best I have tasted, but to be honest if your craving for these dishes, this place can satisfy it. The server was reasonably welcoming and had been good with her service, food was served within 10 minutes of ordering, very prompt. The décor and interior of the restaurant doesn’t resonate asian at all, more like an american burger diner, but its forgiven, its kept clean and it doesn’t look tacky. All in all, this place I might be over staring it a little, but its worth the try and deserve the 4 stars in my opinion, the food is not great but its not bad most definitely.
