Recently took two paintings to Rollf’s to arrange for crating and shipping. The owner, Terry is a warm, personable, and engaging person. He immediately took an interest in the artworks and clearly wanted to make sure they were well packed so they would arrive safely. He made several helpful suggestions about their preservation – even suggesting that«when they arrive home, you should think about rematting with archival materials.» I was impressed that he wasn’t trying to solicit business for himself that I hadn’t expressed a need for. He was correct though, the rematting needed to be done, so I asked him to do it for me. I believe the price he quoted for the matting and the crating was very fair. I know that the paintings aren’t particularly valuable – they mainly have sentimental value to my family, but there wasn’t even a trace of dismissal, condescension, or arrogance about the quality/value of the works. The gallery portion of his business has many beautiful works by local artists on display. He also has an impressive array of framing samples in the framing area of the store. If I lived in Fresno, Rollf’s would be my «go to» place for framing and artwork. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were more great businesses with this degree of professionalism and customer focus? OVERALL: a great experience.

Last year, I had some frames custom made for flat-screen televisions that I’ve used in my business. Tarry did a fantastic job, very accurately sized(he measured!) and a great choice of woods from a large selection of frame moulding. I’ve only received compliments on these frames.
