Absolute worst! I’m sure part of the blame falls on the owner of the house, but there is just no way it’s completely his fault. Sayland puts in LESS than the bare minimum. Everytime it rains, the complete back of our house floods. We’ve been trying to contact them about fixing this for over a year… Nothing. Every now and again, we can get them to fix someone small if we threaten to withhold rent. TAKEYOURBUSINESSSOMEWHEREELSE.

Working with Sayland has been a nightmare. First, we had a renter lined up as we entered into a contract with Sayland. The prospective tenant moved in elsewhere because Sayland wouldn’t return their calls and were rude when they did get in contact. They subsequently had the audacity to try to change us to find a new tenant. It took 9 months to finally get the initial rent check without the finder’s fee deducted. As of right now, they are three months behind in paying us rent. They fail to mention in their contract when they’ll pay you, so they can delay as much as they want… and they have. Whenever we call about the late checks, they say«oops it was a mailing error. we’ll mail out the check tomorrow». We had to file a complaint with the better business bureau before they actually sent us our money. They are either ripping us off or they’re too stupid to figure out how to use the postal system. In any event, we deeply regret using them.

My partner moved in with me a year ago, and he put his house on the market as a rental at that time. A friend of mine who has a house rented with Sayland recommended this property management company to us, and so far we’ve been very pleased with the service. Unlike other property management companies, Sayland doesn’t charge a commission until and unless the property is actually rented. This gives Sayland a real incentive to get a renter in a property, which they did about six weeks have we hired them. I’d highly recommend them to anyone who has a property to rent but who doesn’t want to play landlord.
