Great experience with Kevin and Alicia as our guides. We did the two day tour and camped on Posey Island. It’s a very small island that is actually a state park so we basically rented the entire island. The gear was in great shape and the guides were absolutely wonderful. Nice people and very knowledgeable about the local area/flora/fauna. We will be back for hopefully a longer tour next time!

Just got done with the 6 hour«whale-ho» kayaking tour and it was amazing! Our tour guides, Rob and Brandon were fabulous! They were knowledgable, funny, down to earth, and they really made the tour more enjoyable. The tour included lunch and a little hike on land. We were able to see a bunch of orcas on the tour as well. The tour was great, but seeing the orcas definitely was the icing on the cake. Definitely recommend them if you want a good tour!

A multi-day trip kayaking in the San Juan Island is one for the bucket list, for sure. Our two-day adventure with AJ at the helm did not disappoint. We were fortunate enough to see both resident orcas and transients. Sadly, we were a bit far away, but it’s all luck of the draw. We felt the trip was well planned/managed. The equipment was of high quality and generally well maintained(a small issue with our rudder was an annoyance at times). The paddling territory was beautiful, as was our campsite. A beautiful sunset hike, hearty burrito dinner, and crackling fire were welcome after a long day of paddling. A trip we’ll never forget.

Tim is an excellent guide and, perhaps more importantly, a fun one. He never compromises safety, which actually adds to the experience — allowing you to feel more confident and present in the moment. His breadth of knowledge about the history of the islands, the flora and fauna, as well as the culture — both indigenous as well as transplanted tourist — is impressive. He raises your awareness regarding the environment and the challenges that are being faced in the San Juans without being preachy or over-bearing. The kayak-sailing in the sunshine was incredible, as was the ever-unfolding scenery. It was strange, after just a day, to start feeling blasé about bald eagles, deer, mink, seals, sea lions, etc. just because we were lucky enough to see something that incredible at almost every turn. We will be back(girl’s trip!) however next time we WILL bring some wine. Even though you have to paddle it with you, I’ll sacrifice some trail mix for a good Shiraz.

I had a great experience on Tim’s trip. You don’t find many guiding companies like this. Tim is the owner and he guides every trip. It feels much more like a private trip. Very laid back and casual. What a great way to experience the San Juans!
