Update since my review… sadly they have CLOSED down. Hate to see that– as they really were a beautiful and wonderful place to go to for sno ice, in an A/C & tropical climate.

The best place to get ice-cream, frozen yogurt, snocones, snoballs, and protein shakes. My health conscious hubby and I particularly enjoy the naturally low carb frozen yogurt they offer. Yum! Our children enjoy the snowcones and we all love having family time at one of the tables in their tropical getaway! Super clean restrooms, ta boot! ;-D

I was introduced to Chillin Time by some Friendswood natives who swear by it. It’s a bit of a ways to travel from inside The Loop, but if I was in woods of friends, I’d swing on by. Akin to that of walking into a giant icebox that’s strangely filled with tropical plants, foliage and gravel, there are several tables and picnic benches inside that groups can sit on while consuming their frozen beverage and chill. Great with groups of friends, just be sure you know what you want when you get to the window… I don’t want an indecisive obstacle standing between me and my ice, haha.

I come here every time I take my daughter to Stevenson Park. Actually it’s my favorite place to take my daughter for ice cream. This lil shop is BRILLIANT. Only 8 frozen yogurt(google it) is gentle on your figure but still extremely delicious. Doggy houses for the pups outside. A/C, pristine bathroom. Perfect compliment to a day at the park! GOHERE.

Delightful greenhouse seating area. They have a lot of choices: snow cones, milk shakes, ice cream, and coffee based beverages. The milk shakes are particularly good. They even have a dog parking lot with shade and water. If you are playing at Stevenson park and need to cool down and rehydrate, just walk across the parking lot to Chillin’ Time.

I have been here twice and both times were great. I tried the stuffed snowball the first time. It was huge even though I ordered a small. Strawberry cheesecake and ice cream went well together. Their snoballs are sooo smooth and flavorful. The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is great and customer service is A+.

You know this place is good when the BF and I drive all the way from Bellaire out to Clear Lake for what some just say is ice and syrup. I however say this is the greatest sno-ball in Houston! The ice is soooo smooth and just melts in your mouth, and the flavorings are full of flavor, and not in that artificial make your mouth pucker way. I usually go with the banana and chocolate with cream(reminds me of a bomb stick YUM), but I have also tried wedding cake, strawberry, peach, and cherry… ALL have been just fabulous. I also adore this place for the«décor». Its like sitting on the most perfect patio, but its inside and air conditioned, what more could you ask for! Such a relaxing place to go enjoy a summer(or really any time of the year) treat!

I finally got to visit Chillin Time and it was even better than I expected! We LOVE the inside of this place– it’s like an Oasis, just like the other reviews talked about. I want somebody to start a Chillin Time Bible Study and Invite me! What a great place to hang out, too. If I was a teenager, I’d be here after school every day. We ordered an Oreo Cookie Shake and it was awesome! The Acai bowl was good, too, with fresh fruit and frozen yogurt. We stopped again tonight after the Fall Festival in Stevenson Park and got a strawberry banana smoothie– it was wonderful. When we were leaving, we noticed hundreds of little bubbles all over the place– it was SO cool! They were blowing off a machine on the roof. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I’m glad we found this place; I can see where it will become a special place to hang out when we have an occasion to celebrate something(anything)! Go visit as soon as you can and take your friends, bring a deck of cards, and hang out for awhile! =D

This place is so neat! It’s a green house with the walls and ceiling open to nature. I was on a bike ride when I discovered this little gem by the park. There are some cute dog houses out front, so that if you’ve been walking around the park with your canine companion, he has a place to rest too! Inside there’s a beautiful island of exotic plants and a water feature. At the counter, they offer refreshments, smoothies, yogurt, coffee and shaved ice. The staff is so welcoming and nice! It’s a great atmosphere. I got a strawberry«Sno Ball»(shaved ice). but they also have a stuffed sno ball that has your choice of frozen yogurt or icecream inside, which I thought was neat. It was yummy! And sooo good after a long bike ride. Verdict: It’s a cool place, with great vibe, and a relaxing sanctuary to sit and relax after a jog, bike ride, work out, or just because! The only bad thing– After enjoying a red strawberry snow cone, it looks like someone punched me in the mouth, but still worth it! ;)

Chillin Time serves lite fare in a unique and beautiful space. Who thought up having a yogurt stand with a greenhouse? Chillin Time is cool, unique. They sell beverages — tea, coffee, snoballs, frozen yogurt, protein shakes, smoothies — and snacks. It is counter service. The seating area is a spacious greenhouse with glass walls and roof. They have elaborate tropical plantings in raised stone islands — bromeliad, banana palms, orchids, ferns, poinsietta and a fountain. The floor is clay /sand /pea gravel like you’d find on a running track. Seating is at these plastic-over-steel park-grade picnic tables and at Adirondack chairs. There’s not all that much seating; there’s lots of open space. The north wall looks out on the trees in Stevenson park; the others look out on lawn, light woods and a small creek. The space is extraordinary; I can’t think of any place that’s even close to it. For some reason, I’ve recently been served a lot of weak coffee. Chillin Time as some kind of high end machine that individually brews each cup. I asked for mine made strong and what I got was a good cup of strong copy. Hooray! Daughters got chocolate biscotti. Service was uneven. There was just one gal running everything. The couple ahead of us placed an order for some kind of smoothies. The gal finished their order before she took ours, so we stood on line for a long time. She initially overcharged me for the coffee and seemed confused by the coffee machine. She was very friendly and clearly trying hard to be helpful, but she seemed to be struggling. The couple behind us came back up, she’d fixed their smoothies wrong. Still the gal was real sweet to my girls and extra helpful when the gumball machine took their quarters, getting them each two more gumballs. This place rocks. Did I mention the free Wi-Fi? It’s quiet and beautiful; I’d much rather get a coffee here than in the big Seattle chain nearby. I’ll definitely be back.
