The pizzas are very good. I prefer these pizzas to the other larger place in downtown Frisco. The staff is very friendly(there are not very many of them). The parking is a bit on the difficult side as the building is right next to Randy’s large parking lot.

Some of the best pizza in Frisco! While you wait have a beer or two or three! Great patio!

Amazing pizza, amazing location, amazing beers! This place is my new favorite! I can’t eat delivery pizza… or any other pizza ever again after this! Self serve kind of concept, very much feels like an austin texas place, its a great place! I also LOVE the music playlist. I was sitting on the patio with friends and I couldn’t find a single song I couldn’t sing along to. I love how fresh everything tastes and I love the whole atmosphere of 5th oak! Will for sure be coming back again when it gets warmer out so my friends and I can enjoy the patio!

Good pizza but at $ 17.50 a piece I don’t know if it’s THAT good… Considering one guy can eat 1 pizza and still be hungry. You can get a high end steak at some places for that. If you get three pizzas and a couple beers your at $ 100 easy. We might go back if price comes down

Pizzas are fantastic. They could make some minor improvements to the restaurant itself. Essentially no seating inside. Benches outside offer seating, but no lights at night, no heating for winter, no shade for summer. HIGHLY recommended the pizzas, but do yourself a favor and get to go. To the owners: a covered patio out front would allow you to put fans, heaters, lights to allow people to eat your pizzas and enjoy the local beers.

So… I really wanted to like this place… It’s just off of Main Street… It’s a small converted house… It looks fun walking up… it’s a Tuesday night so I get why they were slow… That being said… They have 4 taps… All four have very specific tastes… and they have their growler fills attached… So a beer you didn’t love is made worse by the pour… The pizza is cooked in an electric oven, so it’s very greasy… It’s good… But greasy and you have to choose from 8 pre made toppings… Service was okay… I could tell the kid was trying… I’ll be back… But going to give it a few months to work the kinks out

Really good craft pizza and beer. Not your average place — tiny house and mostly outdoor seating, but that’s why it is great: because it is so different. One pizza will feed 2 – 3 people, depending how hungry you are. Our favorite pizza is #6. A great place to hang out for a while. Uptight people go somewhere else.

I’ve never reviewed a place on Unilocal but felt compelled to do so because I can’t figure out how a place that got their first restaurant so right(eight11) could get this concept so wrong. We love Eight11 and enjoy the owners, Lance and Ursula. We thought their new place would become another one of our favorites but this couldn’t be further from the case. The pizza is $ 17.50 for a 14″ thin crust. Pretty steep but we love pizza and if it’s good — no problem. The pizza is not good. The sauce is very bland, a ton of cheese and not very many other ingredients. This is great if you order a cheese pizza but we didn’t order a cheese pizza. We ordered the #9 that had garlic, spinach and red onion(I didn’t see any onion). The crust isn’t great either and it’s hard to mess that up. Not to mention, it takes a long time to come out. Blaze Pizza offers 14″ thin crust pizzas for ½ the price and are loaded with fresh ingredients. It was hard not to make that comparison when eating this 14″ thin crust pizza. I feel bad but at the same time it kind of irks me that Lance and Ursula didn’t do a better job if they’re charging that much when it’s clear from their first restaurant, they could have.

We were hoping to love this local business but we left unimpressed. We were the only ones there and yet the owner was not very friendly, never checked on us, and the pizza took a long time to come out. There’s only one picnic table and the other tables had high benches that didn’t feel very stable. The only lights outside where the seating is were candles so it was just too dark. The pizza wasn’t worth $ 18.

I love this place! Let’s start from the beginning. Driving up, 5th Oak is a quaint place with tons of personality. From the metal sign to the 70’s style painting on the side window, I love it. Inside has the feeling of the sibling of Eight-11 place – like charm had a love child with pizza and beer(wait, that’s a threeway). It’s all self service, so you order at the bar and turn the order into the kitchen. It’s decidedly not fine dining service; so I left that expectation at the door. The pizza times are quick – really quick. And the nice thing is free beers until they get their liquor license. When I wanted more beer or needed napkins, I fetched it myself. Like I said: it’s self service. Definitely don’t complain if no one checks up on you because they won’t. They aren’t set up like that. I would highly recommend 5th Oak for a chill evening at a great patio.

I got to check out newly opened 5th Oak in downtown Frisco this evening. Casual smart concept brought to you by the friendly owners of eight11 wine bar down the street, 5th Street is serving up a number of pizza combinations. We tried the pulled pork, goat cheese, and jalapeño pizza and ate every last bite. Every pizza is 14 inches, enough for two to share, and every pizza costs $ 17.50. Also: free beer until they run out while they await their beer/wine permit! Great addition to Old Frisco by wonderful people.
