Ate here with the fam to try it out since it’s close by and around the corner from the movie theater we were going to. The place is nice and clean and kind of hip. Unfortunately all of our burgers and meals were really blah. Chicken tender basket per one kiddo tasted like«Wendy’s» and that’s not a good thing, and the other ones burger didn’t get finished which is very unusual. We are big fans of Kenny’s burgers and Hopdoddies in Addisson, but this isn’t even on the same playing field. Feel free to be the judge for yourself, but the meat was flavorless and even with all the stuff on my burger(salsa, jalapeños, guacamole, etc) it tasted like a microwave meal. The fries were thin and tasted like something out of a cheap fast food joint. We didn’t try the milk shakes which could be their saving grace, but unfortunately I doubt that we will go back to find out.

I’ve been to Burger21 a couple times and I actually really enjoy it. At first, I ordered the cheesy burger with the app(you can get a free cheesy burger when you download the Burger21 app). And unfortunately it was really tiny, but I ordered the cheesy fries with it, which is a pound of fries with cheese on the side, so that compensated for the tiny burger. After that, I tried the buffalo chicken sandwich, and that is probably the best buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever tasted. I also tasted one of their shakes(had the chocolate shake, but they have a large variety) and they look so good and taste even better. You’re able to customize pretty much everything the way you want it, especially over online/pick up orders. The only concern I did have was with the staff. It’s not too bad, but you have a very young employees, not really any adult employees, besides one manager that I saw, but like every food establishment with teenage employees, they’re going to be very interactive amongst one another to the point where you wonder if they’re actually doing their job. There is no structured way that they let you know your orders being cooked, which most places don’t, but it looks questionable when you’ve waited for a good 10 to 20 minutes for food(I’m not kidding on the wait time, guys) and all you see are the employees joking with each other. That said, that can be changed, which will probably cut down the wait time, but other than that the food is absolutely amazing. I will list some pros and cons: Pros Amazing food Great presentation of the food Very appealing decorum Fun environment Great for groups, kids, teenagers, anyone Great selection and variety of products Cons Very chatty staff(they are more into socializing than their work) Looooong wait time with no confirmation on how long your wait is(just order by phone, twenty minutes before you arrive)

Disappointing. We started with a table that wobbled and rocked. Doubt we will ever go back even w a free burger offer. Food is very processed. Order was incorrect. Nothing on buffalo chicken except the chicken. Buffalo sauce on one side of chicken. I had the tuna sandwich. It was meh. Fried tuna and not what I expected. Minimal aioli sauce. Mostly bun. We ordered sweet potato fries and regular fries which were intermingled. No manager in sight. One sweet employee asked us about our food. We told her it wasn’t really great. She said she would«let them know». Then she proceeded to get on her phone and stand around. Lots of young employees hanging around socializing at shake bar with nothing to do. Seemed very poorly managed. Food is generic in nature and not worth the $ 30+ price point.

First time here, but we will be back. Similar vibe as Smashed Burger but more variety. Beef was very yummy and I also enjoyed the sweet fries.

Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen as my previous visits have been off the charts awesome. I was already home when I found that our burgers seemed to only be cooked on one side. Called up the manager and he was happy to make it right.

Burgers are way too salty. The«cheese» fries are a joke, don’t waste your money(it’s just regular shoestring fries with a cheesy ale sauce on the side). This place is almost exactly the same as Smashburger with a few minor differences, and I hate both.

Just not impressed with the food or the location. My visit this weekend was my first visit and was looking forward to try their burgers. Ended up getting the Tex-Mex and it looked and felt like an oversized slider. The flavor was good, but would like to have seen something that looked like the patty wasn’t formed by some type of factory pressed machine. Perfectly round patty reminds me of the cheap frozen 10 pack of patties from the store. Also ordered the sweet potato fries that really looked liked shoe string size. The pictures posted from earlier guest didn’t appear I had the same type or size of fry. The sauce bar was interesting, but there wasn’t enough burger to try more than two different flavors. Ok, the last thing that bugged me, no brewed tea! Dispensed tea from the soda machine is not tea. I wanted to like this location and support this downtown locations, but honestly just don’t think I will head back.

I came here on a weekday during lunch to meet my husband. It’s really close to his work and he wanted me to try it out. I love condiments so he really thought I’d enjoy this place. I got a regular cheeseburger and we split sweet potato fries. I did like the all the different condiments they had. Some flavors are: chipotle mayo, roasted marshmallow and Thai/cajun ketchup. They were busy since it was during lunch time but we got our food pretty quickly. I like to cut my burgers in half so they’re easier to manage. Thank goodness I did. When I cut my burger in half, there was a long piece of hair cooked inside the meat. Needless to say, I was done with lunch. My husband talked to the manager and he felt horrible. He offered to make me another burger but I graciously declined. I seem to find hair in a lot of my foods(thankfully, it’s before consumption!) He was so kind and apologetic about the whole situation. I really wanted to like this place because it’s so close to my husbands work and I plan on coming to visit him for lunch again. I don’t know if I’ll be back here.

I really want to like this place. I do. I enjoy the food and it’s literally downstairs on the 1st floor of my office building. However, they need to work on their service. First strike was a week ago when my wife met me for lunch and she always cuts her burgers in half. When she did, there was a long hair in the middle, covered in mustard and ketchup. The manager apologized and comped the meal and I get it, this happens in the food biz, but strike one. Today, I put in an online order for a simple chicken tender basket and I get an email to come by in 15 minutes. Cool. I get there and the girl checks, my order isn’t ready. I’m waiting there another 5 minutes, a gentleman comes up to the take-out counter and let’s them know HEJUSTORDERED, but will be waiting in a booth. 5 minutes later, HIS take out order comes out. Then I ask the girl to go check on my order again and she comes out asking if I had regular fries. I’m thinking, with my order, yes. And she just hands me a basket of fries. Finally 5 minutes later the manager walks out with my order. I love the convience of this place being in my office building, but if I have to wait 15 minutes PAST the time they say they’ll have the food ready, then I might as well drive down the street to In-and-Out. Strike two guys.

I’m giving them 2 stars but honestly the burger was pretty good but it’s not just about the food(IMO). Pricey though. We went with a party of 8 adults and 12 kids, a big group but they’re located in the heart of North Texas Soccer. An older couple who were obviously the owners, browbeat us the whole time for moving a few tables in order to sit together(we know they were the owners bc when we got up to leave they started directing management furiously.) bc seating is very limited. I don’t mind paying for good food but this place is over priced. And considering the fact that we spent over $ 300 as a group, I’m not happy about being looked on as a poor orphan girl trying to eat a scrap of discarded food from a dumpster as the glare on from their thrown of opulence. My meal alone was $ 16 for a burger, fries, drink and this Ale sauce that was the most bland sauce I’ve ever eaten. I’ve had better sauce of the back of a roach coach. It’s just not affordable for a family to eat here. We won’t be going back. Jakes next door is way better!

In short: Probably one of the best burgers in Frisco. To elaborate: *Highpoints: –Innovative sauces and use of sweet potato fries. –Well-done, high quality meat signifying the notably upscale food quality. –Excellent service supplemented with agreeable waitstaff. –Nice setup, easy to order. –Wide selection. *Lowpoints: –Parking (my mom can’t really think of any true lowpoints, neither can I) Definitely recommend.

Don’t waste your time. We called ahead to ask how long the wait was as it looked busy driving by. We were told there was no wait yet after valet parking the car we waited 15 minutes to find a seat after ordering and cleaned off our own table and seating. It should never take 30 minutes to get a burger at 2pm but it does here. The wait staff walks aimlessly up and down the aisle looking for order numbers rarely finding them on the first pass(Smash Burger figured out this concept and it works for them). We ordered cheese fries which were forgotten on the first delivery but clearly printed on the ticket with the rest of the food(30 minutes after ordering) and were literally fries with a paper cup of white cheese sauce with some bacon and green onion thrown in. When the food arrived the server knocked over the sauces we had lined up on the table without apology and once again we cleaned up the table ourselves. The burgers were very well done and bland. Saving grace — the sauces. Most of the sauces at the, uh, sauce bar were empty but after a couple of requests were refilled within 15 minutes. The Thai Ketchup was good. Finally, price — far too expensive for what it is. Not worth the trip and we will not be back. Better choices in the area: Jake’s — right next door and has good cheese fries and burgers that are much better although service can be hit or miss. Still a much better choice. Smashburger — again, better food and far better service Mooyah — much better burgers Kenny’s Burger Joint — everything is better at Kenny’s if you don’t mind a short wait.

Not worth the hassle… or the price. We excitedly took our family of 4 there today for lunch. First, no street parking, so you either wait for valet parking or hike from a nearby parking garage. The restaurant itself was full so no open tables. The greeter kept pushing us toward the register and the register kept calling out, «We can take your order now!,» but with no open tables I didn’t want to order yet. We let people come from behind us, who ordered and then stood around with their numbers, fighting each other for tables. A lot of visibly(and audibly) upset folks because there was no first-come-first-seated sense of order, and food was coming while they were still waiting for tables. People would walk toward a table but then somebody else would swoop in and grab it. Finally we found an open table, secured it, and then ordered. The food was pretty good(chicken parm was fantastic, burgers not so much) but overpriced. Our $ 7 «pound» of half-and-half fries was tiny and the sweet potato fries like soggy toothpicks. The entire time I kept thinking, «MooYah is so convenient and better food – and cheaper.» As we finished, several people with numbers(one with food already) were hovering around us, ready to fight each other to get our table. The new people sat down and before we left asked, «How was it?» I said«OK.» The wife said, «It’s really overpriced, isn’t it?» And the husband said, «I keep thinking I should have just gone to Chick-Fil-A.» I chuckled at that, because he was right. I’d have enjoyed a Chick-Fil-A #1 meal as much as the B21 chicken parm, and would have saved 30%. As always, your mileage may vary. PS: Stay away from the so-called«toasted marshmallow» dip. It’s not what you think. Jake’s, across the street, has true marshmallow dip which is amazingly decadent. B21’s dip tasted like chilled mayonnaise. Not sure what they were going for, but somebody must like it. Speaking of Jake’s, have you eaten there? It’s wayyyy more worth the money than B21.

My girlfriend and I tried this place out for the time Friday afternoon. We were welcomed by a friendly employee who handed us menus to look over. After deciding, I got the tex-mex haystack minus the onion strings that come on it and put a fried egg on that bad boy. My girlfriend got the kids meal(cheese burger) and a vanilla shake. Burgers are cooked to the temperature of your choice which is nice. They give you a number and bring the food to you. Burgers were excellent. Very juicy and savory with lots of flavor. Fries were good as well. The vanilla shake was bomb!!! They have a few beers on tap, some other choices of bottled beer and a wine selection as well. The place was very spacious, very clean with CLEANBATHROOMS. 5 stars for me. We’ll be back for sure.

Is it just me??? Reading through the other reviews I only wish I had the same experience. Came here on Day 3(Wed) since their opening with good expectations. Read the reviews from other Burger21 locations in GA and VA. Ordered 5 burgers among the family, some fries and milkshakes. Burgers — good, and one of the few places that actually offers temperature options. However the bun was overly thick and that ruined a big portion of the burger experience; can’t taste as much the goodness of the meat. Don’t get me wrong the bun was good, just don’t foresee paying $ 10 to taste bread. Bacon was also slightly under-done it seem? Fries — 2nd biggest disappointment. Reviews from other cities say the same thing, the fries can’t hold their own. Had the 1lb sweet potato/fries combo and underwhelming. Sweet potato was too crispy and seemed«processed», regular fries were very«meh». While that was what I felt a $ 6 wasted… I then tried the: Shakes — the biggest disappointment of the evening. While the flavor selection was not overwhelming, we had high hopes as Burger21’s mantra was burgers and shakes. Malt balls and cookies n cream is what we got. McDonald’s shakes taste better(and they aren’t all that great). Not sure if it was substandard soft serve combined? Was not thick enough, left you feeling heavy and regretful afterwards. Sauces — toasted marshmallow wasn’t great, though Thai chili and raging Cajun was good. Service — best part of the night was the smiles and friendliness of everyone that worked there. They ran out of ketchup at one moment and someone brought it to our table when it was replenished! Overall, considering this costs the same as excellent places such as Liberty Burger, I can’t think of why I would come back. Purely my personal experience comparing to other burger joints.

Can’t say enough good about this place from the food to the service down to the shakes. The burgers are so flavorful and not overcooked at all, most burger places can’t seem to get that right but man this place does. The service is just as outstanding, always checking up on you and very friendly while doing it and lately that’s been hard to find anywhere, service with a smile now they have AWESOME shakes and all sorts or flavor like key lime pie, crème brûlée, cookies and crème and list goes on, can’t go wrong with any of them!!! Oh did I mention they have dipping sauces for your fries and sweet potato fries too, highly recommend the Thai ketchup so yummy with a nice kick. I promise you won’t be sorry you came and no I am not related nor friends with the owners, just an extremely satisfied customer

This place is super yummy! It was late when we went. They were super friendly, gave great recommendations and excellent service! I got the super burger bowl– salad with burger patty and Balsamic Vinaigrette. The meat was so good I almost wanted to lick the bowl. Hubby got the crème brûlée shake with regular fries and the BBQ bacon burger. He loved it. They have a sauce bar– genius, delicious ingenuity, toasted marshmallow goes with the fries great and I loved the ragin Cajun sauce too! Definitely will be back!
