This place has gone done hill. New location has not upgraded service or food. Portions are smaller and service is horrible! We will not be back!

Nothing original or authentic about anything here. Don’t bother with the pizza, crab claws, ravioli, or chicken piccata. Sauce was like it was dipped right out of a large can of Hunt’s tomato sauce and microwaved. Crab claws were over cooked and mushy and flavorless minus the excessive butter. Lemon butter sauce on the piccata was bottled lemon juice and bland. Won’t return here, which is sad because I loved the original down on mockingbird. One star for food. Second star is for having a legacy and showing some respect :).

Horrible Italian food. Honestly. Worst I’ve had. Service was great but the experience was bad. I’m sorry for the bad review. Just not poor poor quality would never ever come back

I wouldn’t normally think to pull up Unilocal for a place I’m familiar with and usually love, but it’s been a while since I’ve been to this location, and from the moment I walked in, I was feeling some uncertainty. When I asked if I could just sit at the bar, the hostess said she was new and wasn’t sure. She went to look for someone else who also didn’t know. I finally just decided to sit down, and the bartender noticed me but didn’t make any attempt to greet me even though there wasn’t anyone else seated in the bar area. Finally, he came and offered a greeting. I had to ask for a menu. The windows and floors were filthy. It looks like the window sills and chair rails haven’t been cleaned in months. Service was relatively inattentive. The staff seemed to get along well together as they were talking and cutting up about the basketball game instead of attending to the restaurant. Food, as always, was great, hence the two stars. It’s sad to see this location just trying to float by on reputation alone; I did reference Unilocal to see if tonight was just an off-night, and it appears that this service is customary as of late. I was expecting better, as it used to be such a great place(always busy I might add), but I don’t think I’ll return.

What a disappointment. We hadn’t been to Campisi’s in ages & I was so looking forward to the veal scallopine I remember from days past. I have no idea if this was normal, or some awful fluke, but the sauce was overwhelmingly lemon-y. To the extent of being inedible. The bread was good, though the cheese bread was soggy for some odd reason. It was enough of a bad experience not to return. Sad. Is this old Dallas restaurant losing its touch after all these years?

Do NOT get delivery here!!! First off, they tacked on a $ 7 delivery fee to our order. The delivery guy had my fiancé walk outside so he could flag him down. Mind you we get delivery all the time without any problems. Secondly, they delivered our food in the poorest manner I have ever seen. We were shocked. The pizza was thrashed and crunched to one side. The bag in which our shrimp scampi was delivered in was soaked in oil that had also covered the pizza box in. Our inedible food was cold and they forgot our beverages. We called back and asked to talk to Alfredo the manager. He apologized and said he would remake the food and have it out to us in 30mins. It was at this point 945pm. I declined and demanded a refund. We tossed the food and text him pictures of our delivery. He refunded our money and gave us $ 25 store credit. We will never order from here again. I read all these horrible reviews and apparently the business owner could care less since nothing has seemed to change. Save your money and take the $ 7 delivery fee to order through a service that is professional and delivers food how it should. This was a horrible reflection on this company and I don’t think they will be changing their ways anytime soon.

Why oh why didn’t I pay more attention to the prior reviews??? Dirty bathroom, dirty wine glasses… yes, that’s plural. Waited forever… hey, it’s our fault for coming to dinner while March Madness is going on. Waiter actually came to our table after forever, then stopped and turned around to watch the game before even talking to us the first time. Seriously??? Classic story of what was a good place expanding without the competence to execute on multiple locations. Hey…at least this spot is easy to get to. Ummmm, no its not. Hey… at least they offer a product you can’t get at a dozen other places within a mile radius. Ummm, oh yeah… its pizza. Hey, at least their garlic bread isn’t something my 11 year old can make at home and the sauce doesn’t taste like Greater Value off the shelves of Walmart. I’ll let you guess where I was going with that. Darn Taverna Rossa 5 minutes down the road. They had a 1.5 hour wait… this place has only 4 other tables with customers… on a Friday night. Tells you all you need to know. Hey, at least we’ll be back. Ha! Nothing gets past you… you read me like a book! Two stars because the waiter tried to recover… polite and attentive. But no one else is really here. How the hell does it take this long to make a couple of small pizzas? It’s freaking half time on the game… shouldn’t they at least be working during that and the commercials??? Total with tip, because I still tip well… because it’s the right thing to do… was almost 100. Yikes. Ending the night and we are the last people here.

We order from here regularly but this last time I was very disappointed. We ordered delivery and were quoted 45 minutes. I called after an hour, was put on hold forever… called back and they told me «oops» we put this down as Togo… my bad. I would expect that they would have offered to remake the food and deliver it, but their solution was, «I can deliver the cold and crappy food now or F**K it. I’ve worked in the service industry 15+ years and I felt it was poorly handled. They should have remade the food and delivered it on the house.

I usually order delivery and veggie pizza is my favorite. Nice thin crust, fast delivery and cheap prices. It is pizza #1 for delivery in our office~!

Not good, The place looked closed from outside. The host that seated us was bored and unwelcoming. The waiter tried his best. My water had a bug in it. The wine glass was dirty with dried food on it. My wife’s meal was bland and kind of gross. My pasta combo was plated sloppily. And the meatballs were bland. Not good Italian food. Very disappointed. The one bright spot was the salad. Pretty good little salad.

Worst Italian dinner I have ever had. Salad is iceberg lettuce in a bowl. Alfredo sauce was like soup. Will not be back there. The best part of the meal was the bread.

I love Campisi’s in Dallas, but this location has gone downhill every time I’ve been here. Since we came in, all the booths were dirty with dirty dishes still on the tables from the last people who were sitting there, as well as a few tables still with dirty dishes. We are finished eating and none of the tables have been cleaned. However the 5 or 6 people who work here plus what looks like then manager are all standing around chatting. The Food is mediocre. The server asked me if he could bring anything else and before I could answer(I needed more sweetener), he raised his voice asking if he could take our salad plates. It was almost comical. It’s unfortunate — Campisi’s is much better than this.

The food here was just not very good. I went with a large group and I will say the service was excellent but I couldn’t finish my meal. Had to go get dinner elsewhere after. Had the grilled chicken salad and the meat wasn’t tender and the salad was soaked in dressing. Calamari was loaded with breading but otherwise was ok. Tried some pizza which was just ok as well. With all the options in the area I don’t know if this place can compete.

Had dinner there last night, it was ok, nothing spectacular. The garlic bread is good, the meatballs which was supposed to be one of the specialties was average and covered in sauce. Note to the GM, save the sauce, no one can eat that much. The pizza is ok. Based on DFW is good, based on the way pizza should be made, it’s ok. Service is good, we were in the bar and it’s quite cool. I would go back, just don’t expect anything special.

Service was nonexistent. I’m a huge fan of Campisis food and generally their service is solid. Tonight was by far the worst service experience I’ve had in a long time. Our waiter ignored our table and didn’t bother to refill drinks or bread without us having to flag him down. This is a small location with an open kitchen. Very surprised that it took ~20 mins for Chicken Parmesan and a Salad on a slow Wednesday night. During the long wait our waiter avoided eye contact and tried to hurry by our table as quickly as possible. Didn’t realize I was such a burden.

Bad service. Food was great and served in a timely manner. Our server messed up two of our member’s orders but that wasn’t even worth sweating over after all the attitude and rudeness we received from our server/bartender. When it was time to pay, the server(who was the bartender) came in with one check for a party of 8. We requested politely to split the checks since we were having a working lunch with co-workers. The server immediately gave us attitude, huffed and puffed, and in a rude tone said yea all 8 of you will have to line up at the bar so I can run your cards one by one. After he made this statement he stomped off to the bar in front of us, grabbed our tab and slammed it on the bar loudly with anger. Because it is inconvenient for our server,(who is working in the restaurant industry and is serving CUSTOMERS) all 8 of us lined up at the bar or of HIS convenience so he didn’t have to work that hard meet customer needs. He had attitude with all eight card swipes. One of our group members politely approached the manager to explain the situation. The manager simply said I’m sorry to hear that ma’am I’ll talk to the server.(Gee-thanks) When it came time for this member to pay the bill, she told the bartender that she was sorry that customers were making his day working in the service industry difficult. The bartender/server replied with something along the lines that he has another 12 top coming in and basically he didn’t have to serve our needs. YOUREINTHESERVICEINDUSTRYANDYOURJOBISMAKETHEPAYINGCUSTOMERHAPPYANDHAVE A GOODEXPERIENCESOWERETURN. Not so that you can be lazy and do a little work as possible. Don’t go here if you are expecting great service– I’ve had better calories elsewhere.

food average i gave this place two shots and both missed. First shot chicken picatta with grillex chicken. In ny you get capers and chokes dallas just capers and a grilled italian seasoned piece of chicken. .uhm no its egg battered people… Next shot was shrimp scampi. with gulf shrimp. Uhm the scampi and shrimp need to be cooked together lord people shrimp bland as all hell. something so simple to sauté shrimp in scampi sauce would make it worlds better. shame…

One of the BEST lasagnas I have ever had in my 21 years of exsistance. And this was my first time eating non-homemade lasagna. Get it with pink sauce and mushrooms and thank me later. Their salad is amazing as well. Campisi’s also delivers! Can I give a shout out to a delivery driver in a review? I’m doing it anyways… Ryan D. is outstanding!(And easy on the eyes).

This is one of my dad’s favorite pizza places. He loves thin crust pizza and Campisi’s serves it up right. We also had some delicious cheesy bread, which I liked more than the pizza. While we were there, there were a couple of large tables of families, but based on how the restaurant has set the ambiance, I don’t think that is the clientele they are going for. There are massive pieces of modern artwork, big flat screen TVs, waiters dressed in whites and black aprons, and it’s pretty dimly lit. The vibe I got was that this is a good place for a date night, drinks with friends after work, business dinners, etc… not your normal pizza place with paper napkins and cheap beer. Although, I have to say I didn’t feel like the menu items we tried really matched the mood they seem to be going for. Despite that weirdness, I did have a good experience and enjoyed the food we had. Our waiter was friendly and we got to watch a game on TV. If I lived in this area, I’d come back with friends for a casula dinner.
