We were out messing around on Valentine’s Day and decided to get something to eat. I made a random right turn into Crudo’s parking lot and we decided to try it out. We had NOT been recommended to eat here nor had we even known that they existed. We found out that we could not have made a better choice! The cleanliness and classy style of the restaurant set the mood. The staff was over the top nice and the food was excellent. The wife got the grilled cheese sandwich and soup. She said it was off-the-chain(I ad-libbed for her here). I got the shaved ribeye sandwich with truffle fries and it too was off-the-chain! We will be back when we are in the area again. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant.

Beyond amazing service and food! Wait staff was all fantastic, everyone was so nice and knowledgeable! Saying the food was incredible is an understatement because it was that amazing! We are so sad we are from out of state because we would absolutely visit again and again! The atmosphere was great, the ambiance was wonderful and honestly it was such a cute place!!! If we are here again it will definitely be on the top of our list of places to visit!!!

I come here a lot — usually for lunch with my girlfriends. The food is really good. I’ve loved any wine they have suggested. And the service is actually professional. However! I noticed a markedly different level of service when I brought my kids here with me one day after a doctor’s appointment. My children(9&10) are extremely well behaved and good eaters — it’s not like I had toddlers running around — but our waiter ignored us and when he did come to our table, just seemed annoyed by the fact that kids were in the restaurant. Mind you — this was a late lunch and there were only 2 or 3 other tables filled. The place was empty. Maybe that’s why he was annoyed? Anyway, used to be my regular lunch spot, but that really turned me off.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Lunchtime: A tasty wood fired flat bread with olive oil, Greek olives and feta cheese was brought out instead of the usual boring bread basket. I had the tomato soup served with nice crusty piece of bread, the Parmesean crusted chicken, and the limoncello cake for dessert. My friend had the crustini with tomoatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella to start. Then the Italian cobb and bread pudding for dessert. All of the food was great! The pace was nice(not rushed at all), the water was consistently filled and our plates were cleared in a timely manner. I’ll be back!

Came here with another couple as an end to our evening out. We were going to order another round, but realized it was super close to close. We didn’t want to be those people, so we asked if we had time. The really personable bar tender assured us that there were people with food on their table still; we weren’t being rude at all and we were more than welcome to enjoy our drinks. We’ll have to come back and try the food sometime; atmosphere was nice!

Business Lunch: I met a client here for a quick bit and was very pleasantly surprised at the service and quality of food. Presentation is very appealing to the eye. Again, it was just lunch but I’ll be back with the wife for dinner. Salad: my Caesar had the perfect amount of dressing and the romaine was cut just the right size(hate Caesar than come with a stalk of lettuce). The polenta croutons are amazing! Entrée: Lobster Ravioli with scallop and shrimp. The ravioli is hand and stuffed with, yes lobster. It’s a compiled by a grilled scallop and shrimp that have amazing flavor. Server: Paco was attentive and professional; knew the menu and made recommendations.

We have been wanting to try this place for awhile now and I am soooo glad we did. The entrance is a little plain but I like it, it adds to the ambiance– kind of like you are going into a secret hip spot. It’s a Taverna so it’s kind of a cool Italian bar/café feel. I felt like it should be in a classy hip downtown bar district. The interior is stone and wood like you were sitting in a older building. Huge long bar on one wall with seating on one wall and a smaller dining room up front which double as an outdoor eating area in nice weather. I’m going to say grotto instead of patio because it’s classier. You enter between the bar and dining areas and it is not a big entrance with double doors and all that, seems that mattered to some reviewers:). I feel like it added to the vibrant scene. There was a lot of energy and people socializing, having a drink at the bar, etc. I loved it. It’s intimate in that you are close to those around you. Not a place if you want a quiet meal tuck away somewhere. Service was awesome! We had the Buffalo filet special and the Bolognese pappardelle and both were fantastic. The buffalo blew me away– it was on special and I definitely would recommend. Pasta was homemade and it should with a very robust sauce. New Italian place found for us for sure.

This place was great and definitely adding to the date night rotation. The service and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the live music too. Try the Niner Cabernet, great wine and paired nicely with the food style!

Wow great ambience with the wood fire oven burning in the back. We had the carpaccio, pizza di Carne, the hibiscus 75, and the pineapple Rita(4 of those). Everything was spectacular. The bartender John Carlo was really warm and friendly. We’ll be back.

The food here is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere here is great. It really needs more seating. The server recommended a really great wine. I would leave the kids at home and come here for date night or girls night out.

Weird, tasteless and pricey. Signage had letters that were not lit up. Once you know you’ve found the place, good luck finding the right door. When you open the door you walk right into the dining room. Then you will be warned to watch your step because where you walk in used to be an outdoor patio, now part of the dining area, there is a threshold that I watched 5 patrons trip over getting into the other part of the dining area. Food, strange and overpriced. My chicken was all about a strange presentation based on jenga. Fingerling potatoes and different veggies with different pieces of chicken piled on top of each other. Almost as though they were trying too hard. We tried not to laugh, but I guess the look on my face was priceless. The taste was ok. My husband had a 20 ounce rib eye, it was gristly, chewy, nasty tasting and $ 60.00.(yes $ 60.00 – part of the specials) Ambience-Not Starts with people constantly tripping over the threshold once your inside, but to their credit they do warn you to «Watch Your Step». We were told they enclosed the outdoor patio and the fire code required them to keep the threshold there. 2 big screen TVs covering sports are distracting while you eat.(Is this a sports bar?) Loud music from all genres very annoying, can barely hear each other talk. Tables very, very close together. Service was less then marginal, had to ask for my drink after waiting 10 minutes. Had to ask for bread, were never asked if we wanted more when we were done.(By the way, bread is pizza bread with feta cheese and olives) Waiter did not check on us during the dinner. Asked for our check and waited another 15 minutes. We would have looked for him but there is very low lighting. Summary — Very weird, waste of time and money. Strange from the sense of identity and branding. Seems like they were all over the map with music, TVs lack of coziness. Loud. Marginal to nasty food. What a waste of time and money. Be careful what you Unilocal, probably a better idea to get a personal recommendation or review by a professional.

Crudo is the gem of the burbs! I’ve been going there since they opened roughly three years ago and they have continued to develop a wonderful product in food, atmosphere, and service. Two more Crudo affiliates open soon also along the tollway, be sure to check them out!

For GOOD Italian food, this definitely makes my list! I’d never heard of this place, but I sure am glad that it was picked. It’s a very romantic vibe, very sultry, but I will say, the noise level was pretty high. For such a small place, it was pretty noisy. The party I was with, we didn’t mind, but it was kind of surprising. Let me say, the staff was very accommodating. Our reservation were set for 7:00pm, but pretty much everyone was late. Even with our tardiness, and them giving away half our table because they had to, they still sat our table of ten within 15 minutes of everyone’s arrival. Very sweet, very nice of them. I must warn you, the menu is a bit overwhelming, but in a good way. The reason I say that is because the descriptions of all of the items is so detailed. Literally each ingredient is listed. I liked it, but it made it harder to decide because it made each dish sound even more delicious! After a good 20 minutes of going back and forth between three and four dishes, I stalled by ordering a salad. The Mixed Greens Salad, soaked in a white balsamic vinaigrette. The reason I cleaned the whole surface area of my plate. Then, I boldly went with the Pappardelle w/Pulled Lamb Ragu. I love Pappardelle. Big, flat noodles, more room to hold all the sauce and the goodies inside. It came out hot and fresh. The two pieces of toasted crostini were great instruments to sop up the sauce. I could’ve eaten more than two of those easily. I like that each dish was cooked to order, no sitting under a hot light. You could taste the freshness in each bite. Presentation was great and the portion size was filling. Great date spot, special occasion. I left with a smile on my face and a full, happy stomach!

I felt that I should update this review, especially considering we do order here for take out quite often. Our favorites include the mixed green salad, the tuna tartare appetizer and the pappardelle pasta. The pizza is also a nice thin crust, but I wish it was a bit crispier. All in all, this place isn’t a chain and it appears as if they care to give you good service when you call. It is more of a 3.5.

From the moment you walk into this establishment, you are treated as a VIP client. From the servers to the chefs, each employee graciously checks to see your needs are met with upmost satisfaction. Accordingly, Crudo Wood Fired Taverna Is a traditional Italian from the south with a strong Mediterranean influence. An exceptional wine list and a full bar that features artisan cocktails. Modern New York industrial décor with a unique romantic ambiance. Friendly upscale service at all times. Happy hour Monday through Friday from 4:00PMTO7:00PM. Highly recommend the Watermelon salad, and jumbo shrimp beef scallop trio! I hear the calamari is so good, and the wait staff will guide you into a multitude of tasty meals you’ll be too confused on what to order. And in this case, that is a good thing! In short, Crudo’s has turned into a favorite spot for my wife and I. Never disappointed as Crudo’s is a very sophisticated yet laid back restaurant. This restaurant is a 5-star gem in the Town of Frisco, Texas!

It’s hard for me not to wax rhapsodic about this place. I loved everything about it. Picture this: we walk in for lunch, and are greeted like we were VIPs. Now, mind you, I’m not really at my best: tshirt, shorts and flipflops, no makeup. Giant pretty much the same. Except for the makeup. They were gracious, warm, friendly. And this isn’t a «bar» ambiance at all; think several notches higher. This is creative, interesting cuisine of the same caliber as a California resort, but the prices are ridiculously low for the quality, the freshness of the ingredients and the creativity. Décor is modern, clean lines, moderate lighting. The space itself is long and lean with a bar along one side. The wood is light color, the tables and chairs a charming, old style rustic. There’s a wood burning oven at the back. Our server was a charmer, indeed. Impossible to say no to this man. Victor certainly knows how to describe a dish. After hearing him explain the«special watermelon salad» with«hints of pomegranate, sweet basil, cucumber and a drizzle of balsamic», I had to have it. The Giant opted for the shaved ribeye sandwich, at which Victor’s eye’s got big and he said, «oh, terrific choice! It’s my favorite!». We also ordered the calamari fritti as a starter and wow! This isn’t your mama’s squid, oh no! Delicate morsels of squid, cooked perfectly, but with surprise chunks of artichoke and jalapeño breaded and tossed in. Topped with thinly shaved slices of Parmesan, it was fabulous. There were two sauces with the calamari; one of the sauces was red, as in fire. It commanded respect. My salad was perfect: the watermelon and chunks of cucumber were chilled and marinated; juicy and sweet. The balsamic gave it a nice counterpoint, as did the crumbled salty feta. Mmmm. The Giant’s shaved ribeye was piled high with tender ribeye, cooked just right, and yummy caramelized onions on a grilled french bread roll, with truffle fries and again, that shaved Parmesan. They have live music on Tuesday-Thursday nights. Run, do not walk, to this place. Ask for Victor. You’ll thank me later. Mmmmmm.

What a FANTASTIC experience! This place was jam packed, and we walked in trying to get a table for 7 with no reservation. They said it would be 1.5hrs so we walked out, but realized we didn’t want anything nearby so walked back in and decided to wait. After waiting only 20 minutes, we were seated at the chefs table and waited in by Chris one of the managers. His level of service was superb! Live music flowing for an authentic feeling ambiance. The food was awesome. I ordered an off the menu Sea bass, scallop, and red fish Paella. WOW. I have had paella in many restaurants, this was by far the best I have ever had. The seasoning was spot on, the rice melted in my mouth, and the fish was cooked to a perfect medium temperature. I was able to smell the saffron in the rice as they brought it up to the table, and the mussels were still sizzling on the plate. I paired it wih the perfect Argentinian Malbec. I had the opportunity to try the Kobe appetizer as well, and I don’t think I have ever had beef water my mouth like this before. So good. For dessert I got scotch, which I’ve never had before, but it truly ended the meal perfectly, just as Chris said when he recommended it. Bravo to a world class experience!

Perfection, that’s the best way to describe this place. As you drive up this place may not look like much but don’t let it fool you, once you step through the front door you are greeted by perfection, every glass inspected twice to make sure they are spotless, every piece of silverware overseen 3 times to ensure they are in their correct location and servers that are not only friendly but also have some sort of photographic memory as they are able to hold alot of information and rattle off the nightly specials as if they are cooking the meals themselves. We each enjoyed a steak and had to order a brick oven pizza just because they had a brick oven. Every thing was very delicious and brought to the table promptly, hot, and presented like I was in a ritzy steak house in New York. Well done Crudo for standing out as an amazing steak house.

This place was so delicious! We ordered the special grilled trio and sea bass and was not disappointed at all. They even brought some bread before the meal so my monstrous appetite was actually satisfied and can feel the food coma coming, hence I’m posting Inside the restaurant before I pass out. The grilled trio had ribeye, lamb, and bacon wrapped prawns with mash potatoes and asperagus. The rib eyes was okay but the lamb and shrimps was amazing and left you wanting more. Then sea bass was equally amazing. It flaked so easily w just the right amount of seasoning that pairs so well with the creamy rice. The service was great too. Prompted waiter who was knowledgeable about the menu and my water never got below an inch of the rim. I took one star off because there was no host when we entered and we were just standing there. Will be back. BRB.
