Food was ok… not seasoned that well but had good gravy. Didn’t get my hubby’s drink order right and messed up my order. They have a lot of tv screens which I good for games but bathrooms and kitchen is filthy…

My crawfish étouffée was okay. I’ve definitely had better seasoned étouffée. It looked better than it actually tasted.

We’ve been going to the Frisco Dodies for years starting with when it was located at Preston and Warren. It started out pretty strong but has definitely faded after moving to Main Street. It’s weaker in all aspects… atmosphere, food and service. We’ve had marginal experiences the past few times and tonight decided we wont be going back. The hostesses seemed like they couldn’t be bothered when we walked in, it took 10+ mins for anyone to talk to us about drinks and then they brought the wrong beer, and then they brought the wrong salad and then our main meal while I was waiting on the salad replacement. Also I’ve gotten the crawfish duo [fried + étouffée] there at least a dozen times and recently they started cutting back on the fried crawfish by mixing it with more and more french fries. Overall, as many here have pointed out, it’s just not that good anymore while there are tons of better choices all over Frisco with more coming soon at Shops Legacy, The Star and Wade Park. Seafood options are not as prevalent but a RockFish just opened across the street so we’ll give that another try.

Really disappointed tonight. «Rubber chicken» sandwich for my daughter and boiled crawfish that hadn’t been purged for me. On the bright side the raw and charbroiled oysters were terrific as were the fried green tomatoes.

I have eaten at multiple locations — of this restaurant chain. I love their chargrilled oysters — just like in New Orleans. This is actually my ‘draw’ to this restaurant. But at the Frisco location — don’t expect to order them on FC Dallas game day or much else from the menu. This location goes from the very cool New Orleans style restaurant to a fast food mini menu to cater to their profit margin vs. selling the quality food they have built their reputation on around Dallas. Each restaurant is a franchise so expect NOHELP from management or anyone else there. I offered them a $ 50 bill just to cook n sell me what I walked across the fields at the stadium for. Sorry. No… I still vote their food as great. Has been good, stable and of quality for years at every location. This location just plays to a different tune on FC Dallas game day. Show up 2 hours before the game(posted start of FCDallas game time) and you might be able to order the entire menu. – Owners and operators of this restaurant location should make note. Burn me on game day, probably won’t see me on any other day. It takes one upset patron to tell 5 – 10 friends and words spread from there. Unilocal can provide great feedback or can tell dirty little hidden secrets about a place(truths) that impact your supposed sales increases based on «mini menu» profit margin increases on game days. I hope the owners and management figure it out. Location can help you but I go there for the FOOD… Need to keep the same menu always or hire more help. Don’t punish your faithful patrons visiting your location.

When I walked in, I wanted to turn around and walk out. The place looked a little dark and gloomy. I don’t know if it’s the lighting, the décor, or… I’m not sure. I was hungry, and didn’t feel like looking for another place to eat. I am so glad I stayed because my seafood omelet tasted wonderful! The potatoes were delicious too. My server was superb. She demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and a wonderful sense of humor. There is a Cajun restaurant closer to me that I LOVE, but, when I’m in the area and want Cajun food, I will stop in again.

Definitely one of my favorite places to eat and get a drink. I have been going for as long as they have been open and have never had a bad time there The staff whether at the bar or table service is always attentive even when I have brought in large groups before a FC Dallas game or another event at the nearby stadium. The gumbo and other cajun favorites are as good as can get in the area and the prices are very reasonable. There isn’t anything on either the Cajun side of the menu or the other side that I have tried that wasn’t very good. Staff is friendly and remembers everyone that returns and even on the first time there has treated my friends as regulars. Plenty of TV’s for sports and have never had any issue getting a TV changed to watch a sporting even that I was interested in.

The food was ok. Service was poor at best. They seemed passed I wanted a drunk and interrupt their conversation which was about the male bar tenders nipples which he kept showing.

Mostly seafood and spivey foods. As a landlubber, I found the menu limiting. Fried everything was good, but took most home.

I don’t really understand the bad reviews? To each his own I guess… Being a Louisianan myself this place is our(my husband and I) little piece of home away from home! Loved everything about it! I recommend the watermelon starburst martini! For our meal I had the crawfish pasta Monica and my hubby had the blackened redfish, both were amazing! We also had the bread pudding for dessert which was simply sinful! Well done Dodies!

I’ve been here about 5 times total, I try to give it a fair shot each time but tonight will be my last time seriously. The service and food always suck and God forbid them screwing up on something, they will never accept responsibility. Save ur money ppl, go to razzoos! Dodies suck!!!

A decent place to eat. I’d give the food 4 stars and the service 2 stars. Decided to stop in after driving past this place for the past couple months. We went at lunch and it was not overly busy. My wife and I both had the fried catfish & shrimp. The cocktail sauce must be homemade as it was very good. The shrimp was excellent! The catfish was good as well, but I would have preferred it be a bit more spicy considering they are a New Orleans style restaurant. The seasoned fries are also excellent! Overall very happy with the food. However, the service was slow and unorganized. Apparently they have open seating, but there is no «seat yourself» sign at the door so people come in and wait there forever before being greeted. A simple sign could fix a lot of these issues. Even with the service issues I’d eat here again. The food makes up for the lack of staff or attentiveness.

One of my favorite places since moving to TX. There is always room at the bar, great drink specials. Sometimes they have live music that is not so loud so you can still carry on a decent conversation. I have ordered the blue cheese oysters several times. The first two times they were amazing! The combo of bacon and blue cheese with oysters is outstanding! The sauce was spectacular and they gave us enough bread to sop that up. Went again last Friday and ordered the same thing but the oysters were served without the sauce and tasted a bit dry. I hope that was just an oversight because this really is one of my fave places. I’m dropping a star for lack of consistency with the food but will update that if it turned out to be an off night. On Tuesdays they have an AYCE crab leg night that I will indulge in soon!

Really wished I Unilocaled this place before going here. Where to start? First off walked in and there was nobody to greet us or anything. Sat outside on the patio for at least 30 mins till the sever finally came to take our orders. We were planning on eating here til the soccer game started. But by then it was too late to order anything. Honestly wouldn’t come back… And definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here unless you wanna get a couple of beers here. Nothing to say about the food because we didn’t get chance to eat.

Really Ok!!! When we walked in, there was a group of wait staff outside smoking and complaining about work. Foreshadowing??? The drinks were good(beer), the food was ok once sent a few items back. We’ve ordered the Calimari on the last 2 visits and both times it was like eating salt out of the salt-shaker. All of the food was way too salty, but some of it was still ok. Salt is definitely one of the usual cajun spices, but not the only one.

This place reminds me of every episode of ‘Bar Rescue’ that I’ve ever seen. Theres just a vibe of grime and disorganization. The décor and seating area feel like they are from 1996. Service was okay, the waitress seemed overwhelmed and inconvenienced. Food was okay. My wife had popcorn shrimp and really liked it. I had a BBQ burger, the burger was okay but the BBQ sauce was overwhelming and tastes like it came from the dollar tree

So good. I had no plans to finish my whole lunch, I just wasn’t that hungry, but it was amazing. I had the lunch half crawfish étouffée and half fried crawfish tails. perfection. I would have taken a picture but it was half devoured by the time I thought about it. great value for kids meals too.
