J’s Hallmark Shop

The three previous reviews need to take a chill pill.
I go to this Hallmark for my cards throughout the year and never have I been mistreated. Always greeted with a smile and thanked for my business. I appreciate them operating so close to home, without being inside a mall. Woohoo!

I am NEVER coming back to this wretched place again. Was never greeted by the employees, just stared at when I walked through the front door. I was blocked by this large cart and girl who were in my way when I was trying to look for some cards; she did not care! Then I have to wait at least a minute before she makes her way to the counter so I could pay, during which she did not greet me or say anything, simply scanning my cards silently with a frown on her face. Then I had to wait minutes for my receipt to print out because she did not press «Enter». Do go here if you want to be treated badly by such incredibly rude people!

This is sadly the worst hallmark store around alas it’s the closest to me so I’ve given it many chances. I just walked out, empty handed, for the last time. I’ve been here many times and purchased from a variety of employees all are who are incredibly rude. It’s like the dicks last resort of gift shops. The young girl working there right now was busy twirling her hair and simply could not be bothered with me or my 10 year old daughter who came in with her small wallet if allowance to purchase her friend a present. Despite several questions the girl could not be asked to assist us. It’s pretty telling when a ten year old looks at you and says «mom maybe we should go somewhere else they aren’t very nice here.» I agreed and told the young lady in the store I guess we will just go but our things at another store then. She just stared blankly at us. I knew when I walked in this would be my last ditch effort. A real shame that business owners miss the ONE key item that keeps you in business/​customer service. I’m not wasting my hard earned money I a place that repeatedly doesn’t care about my business. Also they make it miserable to accept any type of coupons here.

This is absolutely the WORST Hallmark store ever! I received a coupon from Hallmark and I went to use it. It was buy 2 cards get one free — up to $ 2.50 in value. So I get my 3 cards. One of the cards happened to be .99 so the lady gives me the .99 card for free while I had a card for $ 3.99 and $ 2.99. It would seem to me that I would get 2.50 off of the $ 2.99 card, right? NO! When I pointed this out to the cashier, she promptly told me that it is off of the lowest card. Ummm no where on the coupon does it say that. So I came back with that isn’t how they do it at the mall and I was told that is why the mall store is closing. Ummm was this appropriate? I think not. The people there are rude and unfriendly. Not like the Hallmark portrayed on the commercials.
I left the store sans cards and went to the mall Hallmark store. I purchased the same cards and was given $ 2.50 off of the $ 2.99 card. I am really sad that the mall store is closing but needless to say I will NOT be going back to this Hallmark store anymore. Maybe I need to try American Greetings.
