Yep good modern looking inside thai place. Service was great, food tasted very good too. We came here for dinner and drinks came fast, always were freshly refilled and food was out quick and tasted fresh and yummy! good place to come to for Thai food.

Tried Noodle Wave based on reviews. I ordered take-out and was greeted within a minute of walking in the door. I was craving Pad Thai but asked server for a recommendation. She said the number one ordered entrée was the Green Curry but she liked the Yellow Curry because it came with potatoes. Sold– I love potatoes! I added tofu. Yellow Curry was excellent! Plenty of food for 2 meals! Will definitely be back to try more entrees.

We tried it on a very special occasion and everyone was really disappointed with the food. I will never go back again.

I was very excited to try be this place and I really wanted to like it more. Let’s start with the look & feel. The restaurant inside is very cool. Nicely decorated, and has a modern vibe to it. My friend and I got Thai teas and they are HUGE there. Unfortunately they were mostly milk and not tea. That much heavy sweet milk doesn’t settle on my stomach well. As for food, I always order khao soy at a Thai place if they have it, and I was thrilled to see it on the menu. I got it with tofu. The presentation was lovely, unfortunately it didn’t taste good. Something was not right on the flavor and I couldn’t put my finger on it. I split the leftovers with my husband and he said it had a heavy seafood flavor so maybe they put a ton of fish sauce in the broth or something. Lastly the service wasn’t good. After we received our meals our server didn’t really check on us. He seemed very busy so it could be a staffing issue. We finally had to flag him down after a couple of attempts. I was underwhelmed, but I would give other dishes a shot.

Doesn’t get much better than this. FRISCO; You have a Thai jewel in town. Traditional Thai Hot Pot soup is a must, served in a flame simmering«Hot Pot» with the best taste of any Thai soup I have ever had. Wife had the Singapore noodles, we shared Thai Fried Rice and I had their version of Kung Pao Chicken. Wow. Food was awesome 5 stars hands down. Best Thai in Frisco or on the north side of the city. Great eating experience.

Meh… Came here for lunch, was above average. Had the pad kee mow and green curry, got the spiciest they had(4 stars) but was nowhere near the hottest I’ve had, disappointingly. It’s a good value with lunch dishes around $ 7.95 and dinner options at $ 10.95 but my noodles were so thick it was hard to taste anything else. Curry was so so, a little on the sweet side(for me). I’d come back and try other dishes maybe I didn’t order the right things.

I’ve taken out twice and dined in once. Pad see ewe is fantastic here, like I want some now fantastic. Tom Yum soup is okay and the yellow curry is pretty good. I’m not sure if I somehow got the spiciness level mixed up on the phone order, but we asked for the highest level they had and the curry barely had a kick. Four stars for great pad see ewe(not letting this go), really clean and fun atmosphere if you dine in. I remember our waitress being a lot more friendly than the one helping me with my takeout orders.

This is easily one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. We ordered the Spicy Tung Tac, Kao Soy Chicken, the Southern Yellow Rice curry, and the papaya salad. The Spicy Tung Tac was pretty generic but still tasty. It’s a dish that I think was well done but I could have gotten the same anywhere else. Same with the papaya salad(a little disappointing but still good!). However, I was truly impressed by the richness of flavor in the Kao Soy Chicken and the Southern Yellow Rice Curry. The sauce was oh so delicious, sweet, and a little spicy. The presentation of the dishes are also elegant and the portion sizes are quite large! The service was very fast and friendly. I also liked the environment — sleek, modern, and vibrant. It’s a great lunch spot and they have a three course lunch menu for $ 11 which is a pretty great deal. I would definitely come back when I’m craving Thai food again. I think it’s a great value for your money’s worth and it’s high quality food.

Décor beautiful. Service perfect. Food Delish! Veggie fried spring rolls, crispy, hot and packed with goodness. Southern Yellow Curry with added shrimp is perfect! Best I’ve had in a long time. Only down side, no alcohol. Not sure if they are waiting on license.

Today was my first visit to Noodle Wave but I’m sure I’ll be back. The service was great. We never had to wait for drink refills, to place our order, ask questions, or anything. When we sat down the server told us they had a happy hour special that gave us a free appetizer or dessert. I ordered a Thai tea to drink and it was good but it didn’t taste like Thai tea to me. It tasted like chocolate milk. It was still good though. We ordered a Tom Kha Gai and split it as an appetizer. We also ordered the crispy chicken green curry and the sriracha beef bowl. The sriracha beef bowl was really good. I didn’t like the crispy chicken green curry much though. I ordered it because so there were SO many pictures of it on Unilocal so I thought it must be really popular, and therefore really good. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great either. And it was a lot spicier than I expected. The tom kha gai was really good except that they left the lemongrass in it and it was hard and inedible. The soup was great though! It had less coconut milk than a lot of places put in it so it wasn’t so watered down. I loved it. We just had to pick out the lemongrass. Don’t get me wrong, I love lemongrass and it gave it a great flavor. It was just REALLY hard and couldn’t be eaten. We got a free dessert for the happy hour deal so we ordered the banana pastry with coconut ice cream and Thai coffee ice cream. It was really good too. The only negative thing I could say about the experience was the lemongrass pieces in the soup but other than that it was great. I will definitely go back!

Our first visit her was for takeout. Nothing extravagant, pineapple fried rice and American fried rice. I spoke Thai with the server which is always fun. She provided the prik nam plah as I requested. At home the food was very good. A week or so later we went back to dine in. Very disappointing. The service was lackluster. The Tom Yum soup was flavorless. The rice was badly overcooked. I don’t know what happened in just a few days. But we won’t be back.

I haven’t had good luck with highly rated places in Frisco. This review is just for a take out order, didn’t have the luxury of dining in. I ordered ahead and went to pick it up. When I arrived I waited at the hostess station for quite awhile(I’d say about 5 minutes, I’m pretty patient) without a single acknowledgement from any staff member. Plenty of workers were buzzing around me but no greeting, no smile, no nod, no wave… somebody please give me attention puh-leaseeeee!!! I need attention at all times. Anyways, after I was attended to– I ate my Thai Noodle soup and was disappointed. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t have the magic I was expecting. I got a level 2 spicy and it was crazy spicy(imagine, ugly eating face kinda spicy). My husband got the basil catfish and he said it was good. When I asked him«how good?» his answer was«good but I don’t really care to go back.» Ouch. Anyway it’s based on a one time take out experience. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn’t.

My new favorite Thai Restaurant in Frisco! I highly recommend everyone to come here for their Thai fix. I’ve already been here 3 – 4 times and I keep wanting to come back for more :) I really enjoyed every dish that I’ve tried! The soft shell crab noodle dish was delicious! You can substitute the glass noodle for regular pad Thai noodle! The green curry with crispy chicken… Mm soooo good :) it’s a must try! I absolutely loved the presentation of all the dishes as well. They have good selection of dessert and drinks too. It does get pretty busy during dinner time so you might have a short wait to get seated! So just keep that in mind. Anyways, this restaurant has great food, good service and a very clean atmosphere. It’s one of the top Thai places in my book.

I m from la angeles and i m also own a restaurant in the past. I m also a chef at my own restaurant. I ordered laa nar dish. Presentation was awful. Their dish was heavy on soup. I asked the manager why is this lad nar Covered in soup instead of gravy. Her respond that other city prepare differently. I don’t think so. This is what i get totally different from original thai.

First time here on Friday evening. There was no wait, we got a table right away. Service was attentive and food was good. Here’s what we got: — papaya salad with peanuts: good but missing more flavor than the ones I’m used to. — Thai spicy basil chicken: I would get this again. It was flavorful but the chicken was minced, which I wasn’t expecting. I also asked for no bell peppers but our server forgot. — green curry with crispy chicken: the crispy chicken was like tonkatsu and surprisingly paired real well with the curry. the curry also had carrot and green peas though, which it could have done without. — tempura ice cream w/Cinnamon ice cream: the breading is much like tempura breading and crispy. Ice cream was delightful. All in all, food was good. Would go again.

Came in due to passing by and had high Unilocal ratings. Trying to temporarily avoid spicy food. Food prepared with care. Pad Thai obviously not spicy. Not sure what the soup of the day is(green curry?) but I would say this is a 1 on the spicy scale of 1 – 5. It’s good! Try the mango ice cream. It was a great finish. Employees over the top friendly and its spotlessly clean! Interior trendy and colorful.

Pretty good Thai food with some specialities that you might not find at other Thai places. Curry with crispy chicken or glass noodles with a fried softshell crab to name a few. Definitely a bit pricier but the quality is worth it. The crispy chicken curry seems like a best seller and it’s pretty good especially coming from someone who does not really like thai curry. BF enjoys the pad see ew. But my favorite is probably the thai basil chicken. Portion is very generous and we always get level four 4 spicy and it’s perfect for us without being too hot. Their smoothies are made with real fruit and I like their lemongrass tea a lot. Service is decent but it’s the food that continues to bring us back.

The décor is very unique. It’s very modern and clean — white washed wood and small decorative plants. Good natural lighting from many glass windows. The restaurant is not too big, and is occupied by all tables. So it looks pretty crowded. Be aware. There is a line during lunch hour. So come early to beat the rush. Looks like there is one waitress doing hostess seating, ordering, and bussing the tables, so it’s quite apparent they are understaffed. I do see a hiring sign outside in case your’e interested. Despite how much she was doing, the waitress was very patient and nice. We ordered a few items: roti chicken, pad thai, and a curry chicken combo. The food all tasted very delicious, not greasy not all to stay on the healthy side. We asked for medium hot for our food. It was quite mild. So if you like your food spicy hot, ask for more peppers(3 or 4). I have to say that the plate presentation was really beautiful. The garnishes of the green cilantro and red carrot flakes at the top made the food visually more appetizing. The Thai tea was also great — creamy and smooth. A unique thing is they wrapped the drink in a plastic holder with a handle, which I had never seen before. I think it is intended for people to take it out to finish, so they don’t have to finish up the drink in a hurry. We’ll come again, but most likely not during the rush hour.

My, my, my. Noodle Wave is going places. I was over the freakin the moon about the new location! I cannot gush enough about the wonderful employees at the McKinney location. They were always friendly, always remembered their loyal customers, and always got our order correctly… then we moved :( Enter the Frisco location! The interior is beautifully and tastefully decorated as it is in all 3 locations. It’s whimsical and fun to look at. There was a wait when we got here because of the grand opening, but there is great patio space and beautiful weather on the horizon, so I’m sure the waits will be frequent but totally worth it. The menu is fantastic. they actually lowered the prices! The portions are smaller, but I couldn’t tell until my sister pointed it out. We poked around the menu for a few weeks, but now, we get the sukiyaki beef every time. The beef is tender and full of flavor. The mix of vegetables is a lovely variety of onions, carrots, cabbage, sprouts, & bok choy. All of that is stir fried in glass noodles. What’s not to like?! Okay, we don’t venture around too much when it comes to thai food, but I LOVE spicy; the hotter the better, and man, they DO spicy! Each location varies I think, because their level 3(1 – 4) isn’t as spicy here. The flavor is outstanding though. It’s not a bland, dry heat. I highly encourage a more in-depth exploration of the menu, though if you’re up to it! So who runs the show? Peter, the owner, visited with most tables during opening night while he helped run food, refill waters, and bus tables! He was doing it all, AND he had a smile on his face. For opening weekend, those pretty green mugs and dessert were complimentary. Nothing says pride and confidence for opening weekend quite like Noodle Wave did! Welcome to the neighborhood :)

I love the Richardson location and was super excited they opened up shop in Frisco! This location is right next to LA Fitness. It’s very nicely decorated inside – not hole in the wall since it’s so new, and they still manage to keep their prices low for cheapies like me. I ordered my usual soft shell crab with yellow curry and yellow fried rice with tofu and fortunately they taste the same as my beloved Richardson location. My Thai tea came in a big glass and I drank the whole thing so that’s why I’m still up at 3 am to write this review. Portions are huge and cheap, service is friendly and fast, there are lunch specials, it’s a Halal-friendly Thai restaurant, and I’m happy to have another great Thai restaurant to choose from in Frisco. My favorite Thai in Frisco would be Simply Thai Bistro, but I think Noodle Wave is a close second. Yum yum!
