Sunglass Hut

This review is for the sunglass hut on the lower level of Stonebriar mall below the Oakley Store the Kiosk location. I was on the fence between purchasing directly from the nearby Oakley Store directly or this location. At the time the sales representative explained to me that the advantage of purchasing through them is I can exchange my existing pair toward a new pair and receive half the value of what I payed toward a new pair. I chose to purchase and after roughly 6 months i came back to this location just to double check if I qualified and was reassured I did. They looked up the expiration date in the system etc. i came back to this location to exchange my pair and potentially purchase a new pair and was told by the «manager» that Oakleys did not qualify. After explaining that I was provided inaccurate information I was simply told that she didn’t believe anyone would say that. So basically a very unprofessional approach of calling me a liar. Realizing it was a misunderstanding I asked if she could look up my transaction history to see who sold them to me. She said another «manager» named Ashley from the store up stairs did and again she said she didn’t think she would of said that. Very unprofessional approach to the situation. I asked if i could get the regional managers information and was told they couldn’t hand that out. I was also told I could not be told when Ashley works again I had to call and just check in advance. I am completely unimpressed with the way this situation was handled. I have been in sales for over 10 years and this is obviously a result of poor training and bad internal communication among their employees. I will be calling the customer service line directly. I was trying to give them more money and exchange a pair of glasses in that are still in great shape. You would think I was trying to carry out something that would have a negative impact on their business. I would warn to stay away from this location as obviously they don’t have a clear understanding of their return policy and you might be caught holding the bag.

The customer service here is horrible. For some reason, the employees feel that they are «entitled» and are doing you a huge favor by using their time to assist you with questions. Skip it and go elsewhere.

This is a review of the Sunglass Hut located in Stonebriar mall next to the skating rink. I went in on Saturday because I wanted to buy a gift card for my husband for Christmas. They were running a special, buy $ 200 glasses at full price and you can buy a $ 100 gift card for $ 50.00. I only wanted a gift card, so I asked the manager Adam if I can buy a gift card for $ 200 and a $ 100 for $ 50. He said yes and I completed my purchase.
My husband comes home from his travels and says he already bought sunglasses, so I unwrap his gifts, and bring back the gift cards to see if I can get a refund on Tuesday. Adam, the manager bent over backwards to help me get my money back even though gift cards are normally nonrefundable. This location just earned my business and loyalty… like forever. Great attitude, professionalism and excellent customer service will win my business every time.
