I loved the place, the flavor of the tacos and tostada were amazing. The portions are generous. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back soon.

This place is probably more of a 3−½ star place, so I rounded up to give them the benefit of the doubt. Their food is a solid four stars. We had the fajita tacos and tostadas. They were generous and tasted good. Their salsa, though not hot, had a nice roasted garlic flavor. Their guacamole was very good and their queso on par. I wanted to try this place because their vegetarian options looked good. I thought the yucatan tostada was very tasty, but had a little too much bean spread. I also thought the pura vida vegetarian taco was delicious. Plus, I like anything with plantains. Their service needs improvement though. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they forgot to give us silverware. It is counter service, then they bring your food out, so it is easy to see why they would forget to give us silverware. They should just make the silverware self serve, then they don’t have to worry about it. Which brings me to two of my pet peeves, no napkins and no lemons. They don’t give you extra napkins and there are none by the soda machines. Mexican food is messy, so having napkins easily accessible would be nice. They also offer iced tea, but no lemons. I had to ask the person in the little bar area for some. They also forgot to give us our second chips and salsa. Overall, this place is worth a trip back. Their food is probably a notch above other taco places and that is pretty good for a market that is already saturated with tacos.

Taco Ocho is definitely not as good as Rusty’s. The chicken quisedillas were OK but the service would great. I would not recommend going here.

The service was quick and the tacos were excellent and stuffed with meat. The black beans were a bit bland and boring. I really enjoyed the watermelon tea. I will definitely go back and try something new.

Lo siento Taco Ocho but Torchy’s is numero Uno. Same pricing and casual order at the counter concept, but the tacos were borrrringgg. I happen to like a shmorgisboard of fillings overloading my taco. Taco Ocho seems to be attempting the idea that their marinated shredded meats will be all you need. I appreciate that, but it just wasn’t enough. I Tried: Queso $ 5 — not bad, but why are chips and melted cheese more than a taco? Jalapeño Pork $ 3.50 — meat had good flavor, not spicy, but nothing else in the taco except for cilantro and cojita Beef Colorado $ 3.50 — bland. shredded beef and slaw pretty much A nice guy brought us 3 hot sauces/salsas is squeeze bottles that he said wouldn’t be necessary. But oh they most definitely were. The red salsa was okay. Still didn’t save the taco’s but it was worth a shot. The verde salsa I couldn’t even get out of the bottle it was just watery juice. I tried shaking it which was a mess, but the relish was so thick it couldn’t even squeeze out. As we left, nice guy asked how everything was and I felt bad saying it was«good» because I walked away thinking about Torchy’s instead. It wasn’t awful, it was just completely unmemorable.

This place did not disappoint! A little pricey but it was worth it. It is always difficult to find a vegan friendly place in Frisco, besides the typical Chipotle. Fresh ingredients, spicy, sweet savory flavors. Friendly staff! We made it right before the lunch rush so that was a plus for us. Really clean and the atmosphere was nice.

Jalapeño pork is where it’s at. Deliciously slow-cooked pork with the perfect level of spicy goodness. I’ve also tried the chicken elote and latin love; and although the latin love boasts tasty plantains, it’s the jalapeño pork that motivates my return. 2 tacos + chips with a choice of salsa or queso, all for $ 7.99 = winning. Beer, margaritas, and a small patio are also available for your dining pleasure.

Have been hearing good things about this place, so we decided to stop in for lunch. Glad we did! Mr. Right had the beef fajita taco basket, and I had the jalapeño pick taco basket. We both loved our choices. Fresh, tasty, and fast. The margarita was pretty darn good for«fast food» as well. Glad it’s just around the corner, because it will make it easy to come back often!

I should not have waited this long to stop here again. By noon on a Thursday, the place is just about full. I observe employees coming from JCPenney and other large companies that require them to have their ID badges clipped to their clothing. Why is this important? Well JCPenney is a few miles away and across a major highway(121). Most restaurant experts will tell you that people do not go that far for lunch and rarely will cross a major highway intersection. They are making an extra effort to come here. Families, tennis players from the nearby Tennis Center and others fill the room. Conversation includes the phrase«what did you get?» as patrons explore this unique Latin menu. Everyone seems very happy and enjoying the food and the service. I highly recommend Taco Ocho. They do have a full bar and a Happy Hour, for those so inclined. Service is prompt and friendly. If you have not tried Taco Ocho, do so.

My favorite was the beef taco. Very good fajita. I also loved the queso. All the tostadas are vegetarian and by my surprise very tasty! The frozen margaritas are delish and they have happy hour everyday from 4−7pm.

Stopped by here for a quick grub before the Ed Sheeran concert, and wow! It was way better than I expected. There were a lot of tacos that sounded delicious, but I ultimately got the Smoked Chicken Elote Taco, which was scrumptious. My friend got the same taco, but hers was super dry, so consistency is what this business needs to work on. Overall it was great food, just need a little bit of work on the service. By no means would I drive all the way here for them though.

It was our first time trying out this place and it was very good! Good portions with amazing flavors. We got the Azteca and Americana tostadas as well as the Smoked Chicken Elote tacos. Both come with chips & salsa, rice, and beans, which are delicious! it has a good atmosphere, very chill spot. For dessert we got the cheesecake Chimichanga and it was AMAZING! definitely one of the best Latin desserts I’ve had. Overall, this place is really good! Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Put a Torchy’s within 10 miles of this place and Taco Ocho is out of business in a month. Bland, bland, bland! Avoid the Tortas! Nothing compared to even the most basic taqueria!

I enjoyed the taco plate I had. For $ 8.99 you get two tacos, rice, beans, chips, and salsa. The rice was really good but I found the black beans to be bland, they needed salt or something. You get a smallish serving of chips and salsa but that was cool with me. I didn’t even finish them. For the tacos I picked the grilled shrimp and grilled fish($ 0.50 up charge). I thought they were both really good! I wish I had paid attention and noticed they came on flour tortillas but that I could have changed to corn. Oh well, I’ll know next time!

A local gem for quick, tasty and reasonable Cuban inspired food. I’ve been half a dozen times so far and have tried most of their tacos. Grilled Cabo fish and Pura Vida(vegetarian) are my favorites. My only knock is they up charge for everything. $.50 extra for Cabo fish, $.30 for queso, $ 1.50 rice and black beans and probably others. Also kids meals come with a drink but they don’t have milk or juice so it’s soda or lemonade. And the drink is included so you no savings if you just want kids water. Surprisingly they have several local craft beers on draft and good happy hour prices 4 – 7 daily.

A lot of the people below saying they had great drinks are not at this location. No booze in the Frisco location. While visiting Cozumel I came across a pyramid that was so small most dogs would have barely enough room to go through the door. This must say a lot about the people having a 3ft door to a pyramid. This is just my Opinion, but I think that the food sides that Taco Ocho delivers is meant for little people. They are served in ramekins that most people would have maybe ketchup in. It wouldn’t be so bad but when you order queso they put it in one of these and charge about $ 2 for it. Also the platter for 2 fish tacos cost more than what you would get at most restaurants for free chips(which they don’t have) and a fajita platter with beans in a cup and rice in a cup and guacamole and sour cream(which they didn’t come with). The beans come in a ramekin, the rice comes in a ramekin, the salsa comes in a wasabi ramekin, you get a small handful of chips that make the air filled seven eleven bags of chips seem generous. Flavor for the fish taco was generally very good. They actually produced a better beer battered fish than the Tap House and the owner comes from Ireland. Most of the flavors were just good, not spectacular, but not bad either. This was my second time there. I didn’t want to judge them on opening night. The biggest problem here is price point. No salsa bar or seasoning station and mediocre flavors. And definitely skimpy amounts of food; if this was find dining in a French restaurant the sizes may even get questioned. If you notice in the picture my key is larger than the ramekins.
