Nice people and food is good. My daughter loved the bacon wrapped hot dog. The place was not that busy. The close early so we were going to come a few times but they were already closed. I don’t eat hot dogs often, but when I do, this would be where I return.

Came here with the family, the wife trying to stay away from beef and pork, but they have no other hotdogs option, so she settled for a potato bowl which was alright, my youngest daughter had just a regular hotdog with mayo, which she devoured, my son and I chili dogs loaded, cheese, chili mustard and onions, first with a name like Coney I was expecting something larger than a normal hotdog but that’s what you get, regular size, chili is horrible you should know better you in Texas! Mustard had a strange flavor, not regular mustard, we ate the dogs, but left highly unsatisfied, I should have just gone to Costco down the road from there, and for a buck and half get a monster hotdog and a drink. .I paid 15 dollars for very boring food, not sure how this place has 4 stars, will never come back.

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. Ambiance was poor, church house quiet. Workers were nice but bored and I didn’t care for the flavor of the chili on the dogs.

As a native Tulsan, eating Coney Islander was a staple of my youth as my late father and I used to be regulars at the Admiral location near the Admiral Twin Drive-In. So, when this place opened where I have called home since 2003, Frisco, I was understandably excited. I can’t remember the last time I had Coney Islander, but eating here definitely takes me back. My order is the same as it’s always been: three with mustard, chili and cheese, no more, no less. Never liked onions on my coney since I feel they overwhelm the blend of flavors. These guys do an outstanding job, which isn’t surprising since they are native Tulsans as well. Sure, this place isn’t for everyone and some don’t like the chili, but to each their own. Me, anytime I want a taste of home and can’t get back to T-Town, I just stop in here and grab three to-go and voila, I’m back. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary and keep up the good work!

This wasn’t what I expected. I looked forward to a delicious coney dog but all I got was an ok hot dog with chili and cheese. Guess I could have saved myself the trip and made one at home. This place has a nice feel for a small shop and the owner is friendly but I wasn’t overly impressed with the food.

I recently moved to Texas from Tulsa and was in desperate need of a coney fix. I got a sad face when I realized the only coney place Texans recommend was Sonic. Gross! Luckily to my surprise Unilocal led me to this gem. I was so happy to read the owners were from Tulsa and based their chili off Coney Islander back home. I headed straight their way and ordered up two coneys with chili, cheese, onions and mustard. I was not disappointed and I got my coney fix. Can’t wait to go back!

I had very high hopes for this place after finding them recently. I went in with a coworker for lunch to check it out and was very excited to have some delicious chili dogs. I will admit I don’t know what Tulsa style chili is supposed to be but this chili has a TON of cinnamon in it and it completely ruined it for both of us. The cinnamon was overpowering and neither of us liked it at all. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be, I don’t know, but neither of us will be back. The Texas chili might be a better taste but I’m not real interested in spicy so I will pass. The people working were nice and the place was clean. If you like that kind of chili then you will most likely enjoy this place.

I read the reviews and learned their story from their website. I’m also a transplanted Tulsa native and coneys are in our blood, they are a regional favorite. Knowing the Tulsa ties I decided to review them just as I would if they were sitting in Tulsa Oklahoma. This coney shop is located in a great area the build out of the store was done well in fact it’s really nice for a coney shop. I’ve given the coneys 3 stars, because they are good but only average. I am going back for the 5 way chilie, another Tulsa staple. When I compare this store to the coney shops that I love the service is just not the same, you see coneys are a fast meal made in front of you it’s part of the experience. At this shop they take your order and make them in the kitchen area, not as much fun. A coney chef is an artist and master of multi tasking. This method of preparing the orders caused the service to be slow for what should be a quick lunch food. Now, having said all of this I want to recommend that you go and enjoy a great coney. If I had decided to base my rating on what I’ve eaten in the DFW area I would have given it a 4 star review, 4 not 5 based on the slower service. I’ll be back soon to enjoy a taste of home .

The classic coney is my favorite but the frito pie was also really good! The chili has a hint of cinnamon and it’s great!

I have ate here at least 20 times and each time the food is good and service as well. Family run and I support those types of business. Love me some Coney!

The Coney Burger is a masterpiece! The chef took special care to make one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The way the meat has a crunchy edge around it from the griddle is a culinary work of art. It has such a great flavor combined with the chili. The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh every time!

Give this a place a try the next time you are looking for a quality hotdog!!! The texas style chili is amazing. The ingredients are all fresh and the owners are very nice. Also, the chili stuffed baked potato and chili cheese burger are amazing. Decent prices as well. Not open late or on Sunday’s though. This is a favorite of our’s on the weekend.

OK so I have to admit, I’ve passed by this place since it opened and iy wasn’t until my best friends bday came that we decided to give it try. First off, Im huge on customer service and from the moment we walked in we felt like family. I ordered the premium coney with cheese and my best friend ordered the regular coney. They use different chili on the premium coney and a bigger hot dog. I added onions and it was SO good! I mean, it’s a chili dog, but it was done right. My friend loved hers too and we vowed that we would dine here with all of our cheat meals.

I found this place on Unilocal and immediately made plans to take my kids to get a Coney. I had envisioned giant hotdogs covered in toppings. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the dog itself, but the toppings were all very good. I really like their traditional chili recipe. My kids the loved the experience and want to go back. My favorite part of this experience was the interaction with the owners. We told them it was our first time there. They explained the menu and made suggestions and let us sample the chili. It was very nice.

I love hot dogs. I’ll purposely go to QT to get hot dogs for lunch. I’ll skip breakfast when I know I’m going to Home Depot so I can get a dog from a vendor. I’ve sampled the Sonic hot dog menu several times over. I’ve looked into getting a Lucky Dog stand at our wedding reception in New Orleans. I love dogs. So when I saw there was a restaurant dedicated to pretty much just dogs, I had to try it. The chili, as they call it, is «Tulsa Style.» Now as an OU Alumni, I have nothing but love for my brothers up north, but I’ve never heard of «Tulsa Style» chili. I have however, eaten and enjoyed on numerous occasions«Cincinnati Chili.» And to me, that’s exactly what Coney Shop’s was like. Many Texans would consider it a sin against God to put cinnamon, cloves, sometimes chocolate in their chili. But unless you’ve tried it, don’t knock it. I like that style of Chili and dammit, Coney Island’s interestingly-spiced«Tulsa Style» chili is really tasty atop a dog. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, so call it whatever you want. Please note, however, that they also have«regular» chili for those who want a more familiar Texas-style flavor. I got a couple of hot dogs, cheese, chili, and topped with onions chopped so fine they looked like crushed ice. Chips and a drink … $ 7. Can’t beat it. Plus, I was burping up for hours an intoxicating elixir of processed hog parts, onion and Funyun breath to extend and remind me of my dining pleasure.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this place although it is a cool concept. There are plenty of burger joints, why not a hot dog joint. My thinking though is that if you are going to serve hot dogs as your primary ticket item, they should be more quality. The hotdogs are about as big around as my thumb and the taste is just so-so. The chili reminds me of Cincinnati chili which I like, but it is not typical for this area. I think the hot dogs needs to be amped up a bit for this place to make it, but it is a very clean, family friendly stop.

texas chili is out of this world… great actual chunks of beef, no beans(yay!) and a nice spice kick to it! I had the premium dog(with texas chili as well) and it was good, with lots of onions. Again, the glue that holds this together is the chili — great pricing and superb service!

Probably the best place to grab a coney in Dallas. If you’re from Dallas you may not know what a coney is. Coney’s are frequently found in the northeastern part of the US and they offer chilli and a special kind of hot dog. Having tried the other coney establishment in dallas this one is much better. They offer a standard hot dog and the chilli is decent. Nothing like i’m used to back home in Detroit. Like others has said the hot dog is missing a snap to it.
