I’ve been to both the Front Royal and Winchester locations. The prices across the board are a little high. It is not on the top of my list for bargains. The silent auction items tend to have very high bids compared to the actual value of the item. I understand the money goes to a good cause but my wallet can’t afford the retail pricing. I’ve found a few reasonably priced items at each location but you have to really look.

We stopped in at the blue ridge hospice thrift store while on a mini vacation for my birthday. Maybe it was one of their«off days» but the selection was very much lack-luster and we didn’t find much at all in terms of antiques or merchandise. Although we did have a good time browsing and saw the potential, but just didn’t have much luck of finding any gems.

Plenty of stuff. Nice glassware. A little pricey for what it is, but maybe that’s the area. Friendly staff. Good ideas for sales and clearance. They have a different sale on items each week– look for the color codes for discounts. They have a silent auction for nicer items, and seem to have a lot of Redskins donations right now. Street parking, but they have some private spots around back.

Love this place! Love the manager! True, your selection may not be what you are looking for on a particular day. But, you must keep checking back as new things arrive all the time. They have great daily specials and awesome silent auctions. Top top it all off… the proceeds help those in Hospice care!!! Kudos to Blue Ridge Hospice!

The selection isn’t the greatest but the deals are quite good. My husband got a pair of docker khaki’s for $ 1.75 and a pinstripe suit for $ 12.50. I got a tank top for $ 3. There was a sale according to tag color varying from 25% to 75% off. They also have a hodge podge area with kitchenware and other random items and they sell some pretty knitting yarn up front. Good place to browse.

The best section at Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift store on Main Street in Front Royal is their kitchenware/home goods area. They keep these shelves well organized, stocked and decorated. Womens’ clothes and shoes are also plentiful and typically in very good condition. Mens’ clothes are decent as well. The childrens’ clothes are overpriced in comparison to other thrift and consignment outlets in the area, and much more pricey than yard sales. I rarely find good deals on kids’ clothes there, and I have four children of various ages to shop for. There are daily specials, such as 50% off kitchenware on Wednesdays, and those are good to pay attention to. I have not seen toys at this thrift store and the linens section is pretty sparse.
