7-Eleven

I didn’t even think Unilocaling 7-​Eleven was an option. But alas, here I find myself!
I just wanted to give a shout out to this particular location. It’s my neighborhood store and I stop in quite often for coffee, water, ice cream, etc.
The guys that work here are SUPER friendly. They say hello to everyone. And strike up conversations with me and the other regulars. These guys make my day a little brighter and I thought they deserve a good review.
On top of their great customer service, they keep their shelves well-​stocked (Bootlegger’s Beer, anyone?!), and their coffee counter is always clean with fresh coffee.

This store is managed poorly. They are constantly having problems with food going bad and their freezers going down. Do not buy dairy products especially ice cream at this location. The ice cream melts but they resell it so its crystallized. Plus a lot of shady people hang out in front of the store

Worst 7-​Eleven I have ever been to. I have (stupidly) come to this location quite a few times, always telling myself «it will be better then last.» Sadly, it never has — so I have given up being a customer here.
I will give the minor goods first. The store is pretty clean and well stocked. Could use a little work on getting a better variety of beverages (especially Arizona teas). Good selection of candies, frozen foods, ice cream, etc. Their hot foods (pizza, wings, etc) always looks pretty gross — but I tend to come in the evening/​night time, so I assume they have been sitting all day.
Customer service is why I give it a 1 star. But if I could give it a negative I would. Just because they are well stocked doesn’t mean they deserve a good rating, in my opinion. Its all about the service. The cashiers are NEVER friendly. They get all comfy and loud with the mexican guys coming from next door, but give no greeting to anyone else. Same goes with when they are scanning my items. They remain silent, other then telling me the final price. To this day, none of the cashiers have even offered to bag my items. To top things off, the last time I went in the floor mat right inside the door was raised and messed up, but I didn’t noticed and tripped over it (almost falling, but I worked my way through it). The old guy at the register just looked at me, then turned away (didn’t even fix the mat, I did). That was the final straw for me… With other convenience stores and gas stations near by, I will definitely pursue a new location for my evening/​night snacking needs.

The itself is very clean however the ready to hot food is very unappealing, they usually have burnt old pizza and dried up wings, this store also refuses to honor any coupons available through the 7 – 11 app even though according to the app they are a participating store… so due to the rudeness by not accepting the coupons and the burnt food they want customers to buy I will not go above one star

This 7 – 11 gets a pretty mixed crowd from college students, to commuters, to local residents. It’s almost impossible to get in the parking lot if you are traveling Northbound on Placentia. I would just make a left turn at the signal and then pull into the parking lot from there. You can also park in the back behind the building in the shopping plaza parking area. Bu then you have to walk through the shady looking alleyway.
It can get pretty rowdy around 8 – 9 pm from the patrons of the Mexican nightclub next door who don’t want to plunk down extra money to get drinks inside. Instead, they will try to get their buzz on the cheap by buying booze at 7 – 11 and drinking it in that alleyway. If you are lucky you might catch someone urinating.
For the reasons listed above, I try and stay away from here at night. They do serve the hot pizza here — a large for 5.55.

Came here in the afternoon, my son was craving some sweets. Drove up … should have driven away. There were a couple of men hanging out at the side of the building. So we dashed in… Made It! Yes!
Walked to the back to the Slushee machine… only 4 flavors. Okay, he’ll stick to a coke slushee. Walking to the counter, my son sees donuts… why not? Hmmm, pretty stale. Just for the kick of it, asked the clerk if it’s still $ 0.99 because it’s looking a little stale. Yes, she says. 99 cents. No smile, just that cold, don’t say another word stare. Allrighty then.
3 men walk-​in. Cussing, laughing, shouting at each other. Sorry, but they gave me the heebie jeepies. Even the clerk looked nervous.
Here! Take my $ 4.59!
Walk quickly to the car, baby (speaking to my son)! Don’t wait. Don’t look back.
Doors locked. Driving off. Sigh in relief. Live another day.

This 7 – 11 is great as far as keeping the store nice and clean. They also keep up their inventory which is great for last minute needs such as coffee creamer, milk, cigarettes etc.
BUT I AM WRITING THIS «ONE STAR REVIEW» BECAUSE they really need to hire some cashiers who have a clue of what they are doing. If the cashier isn’t charging you more for your items, he is short changing you. Both of these things have happened to me with the same cashier both t imes. But this time I went in to 7 – 11 and had a few winning scratchers. I go up to the same cashier who started ringing me up and right in the middle of my transaction 2 girls got behind me in line. All of a sudden he told them I can help you over here and pointed to the counter next to him where there is another cash register and rang them up! Ahhhhh hello idiot!!! You were helping me and you already totaled out the amount that I was due back for the winning scratchers so why didn’t you just give me the money I was due and let me leave instead of making ME wait until you finished up with the girls. Sounds like to me someone is prejudice (I am a Hispanic guy) and like I mentioned this isn’t the first time I have had issues with this guy here. Next time, I am going to call you out. Not only that but I am going to talk to your supervisor and file a complaint with corporate.
I realize I am not as pretty like the girls…(haha) but dude, that was just WRONG! And very, very disrespectful! Come on now, you know better than that.
