99 Cents Only Store

We needed to stock my daughter’s kitchen and spent only $ 38. Wow… we got spices, kitchen soaps, brillo pads, bathroom needs like murine eye drops, cotton makeup remover pads, and we got produce…5lb potatoes for 99 cents. really well stocked store. I wanted to post how there was actually a great employee who helped me find everything too… Eric. i don’t live in the area, had never shopped there, so having his help made the visit top notch. Unfortunately i had to deduct a star because the bathroom was out of order… broken toilet, so that was uncaring and not even posted. .just Surprise! The cashier was pleasant, and we got a shopping cart easily. This store is big asset for students and people setting up staples… Plus you do save a penny more on each freaking item than you would had you gone to the Dollar Store!

Very clean and well organized. This store has twice as much merchandise over other stores within 10 miles radius. Lots of good stuff for birthday parties.
Cheaper to get here versus party city unless you looking for some serious cartoons that are famous or no longer seen as much as before. This store has doc mcstuffins and frozen party plates.
I was able to get some kids toys for both boys and girls. Prices are so worth it. Spent under $ 30 for almost $ 80 worth if i went to a suggested retail store for the same items

Nothin special about this 99 cent store. I do like how cheap they’re wet cat food is. Its like 2 little cans for a dollar. Its a great deal. They are almost a dollar each at other stores… But to be honest, i would almost never come here if they did not have the cat food. But they’re not a bad store. I just for no reason at all, don’t really like this store. I don’t know why. 2-​star

Been going here for almost 20 yrs.

Went in today because they have the best prices on kitty litter. I have a cat and two dogs. This is only important because of the young couple that was in the store with their dog. The dog peed on the floor, and I sure didn’t see the owners clean it up, then they proceeded to try scarves and bandannas on the dog. I told the cashier «Georgina», that it was a violation of the Health Code for a non-​service dog to be in the store. She laughed in my face. Did nothing at all, and when I asked to speak to a manager, she just said the manager was outside. I just called the store, and spoke to the «manager on duty», (James) who wasn’t helpful at all. I won’t be shopping there again. As annoying as the stupid people with the dog were, the rudeness of the cashier is worse.

I really like coming here because you can get a lot if snacks, containers, cleaning stuff, etc… For super cheap. Why pay a lot when you can get it here for less? I like their veggies here too. You do have to use them faster because they go bad sooner than veggies you’d get at a grocery store, but if you know you’re eating them for dinner that night or in the next 3 nights, you’re good! The cashiers are pretty friendly here too, and all and all I’ve never had any issue going here. They have a lot of home stuff and kitchen stuff too if you’re on a budget. Can’t beat a dollar!

They have some really nice stuff here. What really surprised me is there selection of movies of $ 1.

Great location and and a good size parking lot. I come here for lunch and I grab what I need in order to build me a sandwich. They have a wide variety of snacks as well. All in all, this store rocks!

YAY for being a big store & having a wide range of items.
NAY for workers. They didn’t know where some of the items were/​if they carried it in the first place and when there was a long line of customers, only ONE cashier was open while the rest of the staff was on the floor. Bad customer service!

This place is AMAZING! I just spent 75 dollars on Organic name brand food, water, juice and a mustache cup! You can’t beat that. I love you 99cent store for being Awesome

Not nearly as clean, organized or well lit as the location in Placentia. Sadly, produce here is truly «meh» or a big-​time miss — I spotted plenty of limp, wilted veggies and fruit ready to develop white fuzz in about two hours.
Furthermore, the professional and helpful service that’s part of the Placentia store is not so much at this site. During my three shopping trips, I’ve found the cashier service to be relatively inattentive and/​or brusque. Look, I understand that this chain isn’t Tiffany and Co. or Nordstrom, but can’t the cashier staffers at least attempt to make eye contact or make even a tiny attempt at a smile?
Indeed, I’m being generous with that three-​star rating, since I’m rounding it up from a middling 2.75.

Oh 99 cents store is what every college student needs! I love this 99 cents store because they keep everything so neat and organized (: I usually like coming on tuesdays because thats their RESTOCK day so everything is up for grabs and everything is guaranteed fresh! I like to purchase my milk here, they even have $ 2.99 for a gallon of milk which is great because the price of milk is going up now!
They have many brand names that you’ll find in regular grocery stores! Such as Kraft, Sara Lee’s bread, betty crocker, Arizona iced teas and etc. I used to be very skeptical about shopping for food here, but over the years its become one of my best friends (: They have awesome selections of sugar, honey, cup noodles and esp the spicy thai peanut noodles from the thai kitchen that sell for $ 5 in a ralphs! but its only $ 1 here! talk about a great bargain (: Also if you go to their bread section it’s highly impressive because they sell dinner rolls, sweet rolls (like kings hawaiian rolls), texas toast, english muffins, sour dough, pita, etc!
Also on restock days, they sell great produce as well! they have fresh asparagus, romaine lettuce, mushrooms (baby bellas and whole bellas), broccoli, and even artichoke hearts. They also sell yukon gold potatoes or russet potatoes by the BAG for only $ 1! I also got 6 medium sized onions for $ 1 as well (: They gave garlic, tomatoes, lemons and limes and during the spring and summer they sell the juiciest mini watermelons. They even started selling Philadelphia cream cheese their chocolate indulgence lines and their cooking crème line as well. The Jello products for their chocolate indulgence and strawberry short cakes and more are also on sale for $ 1!
If you’re looking to get a bang for your buck then this is the place to go (: And keep in mind just because something is cheap doesn’t mean it’s bad quality, i think that’s what makes others hesitant to buy their products, but you’ll never know if you don’t try!

This store is positively great!!! It is a fairly good sized location having aisle after aisle of bargains on all sorts of items. All for 99 cents or less… Enjoy saving money? This is the place to check out!!! Surprisingly, you can even score on big name brands! How does Kraft, Oscar Meyer, and Crystal Light sound?
And, there are even deals on produce! Today I got a 3 lb. bag of large seedless grapes!!!
This store just plain and simply ROCKS!!! I completely recommend!!!

What can i say that hasn’t already been said about this store, this place rocks for anyone that’s on a tight budget, or if your a plain «cheap ass».
As soon as the economy went rock bottom I started getting smarter about groceries and budgetting my household goods. I found slot of products sold at Albertons, Smart and Final, Sam’s Club and other stores, were pretty much sold here as well. More than anything, their selection of fruits and veggies is what’s good about this place.
I come here for the peppers, garlic voices, mushrooms, lettuces, spinach, asparragous, etc anything fresh that I can find. Also, if u often cook pastas, they have a good election of spaghetti sauces that my younger sister loves when I cook for her.
Overall, they have almost anything u are looking for in under a dollar, if they don’t have it, you can give Big Lots or Dollar Tree a shot, their all conviniently located within walking distance :)

When I first moved to Fullerton in July of 2010, I took a look at this place and vowed I’d never be back. It was dirty and the «fresh food» was all expired.
Fast forward 3 months and A Dollar Tree has opened up across the street. Albeit smaller, less variety and no fresh food section, this became my go to place until a friend mentioned that the 99 Cent Store had stepped up their game. Reluctantly, I went back. Glad I did.
The store is still dirty (–1 star almost 2) but the selection of items is great and the «fresh food» section is actually FRESH. I’ve noticed that when I go in on a Friday, there is an abundance of fruits and veggies that have just been laid out. (Bananas are actually partially green, pears are still slightly hardened, etc). This was a major improvement and a huge money saver for me as I love fruits and veggies!
My favorite deal by far is the Dole Greener Selection salad kits. I’m lazy and don’t like to cut up my own salads and veggies, so I love salad kits. Across the street at Smart & Final they’re double, if not more, the price as the 99 cent store = SCORE! This also holds true for their sliced mushrooms.
I also like to buy spices, sliced bread, and cooking supplies here (although I refuse to buy their spatulas as they’re close to the floor and covered in dirt).
I save about $ 25 a week in groceries by shopping here, and as a college student, that’s huge savings!

Another DIAMOND: MAYO comes in many kinds and w/​wo many added ingredients. This diamond weights only 15_​oz. and if U bought it UPTOWN, it costs U 3x’s MORE. (Same Item, Same Quality) So, tell THE CHEF, what is it?

Since I went to CSUF, i’d park around the corner so I would usually drop by whenever i had some free time. I’d find some snacks to munch on during class. They have veggies and fruits in the back, salads, plenty of frozen stuff. They keep this location stocked and even sell GALLONs of milk for more than 99cents haha.

I’m not blinded by the so called great deals here as i know that there are quite a few things at the 99 cent store that aren’t worth even 99 cents. But for the most part, i truly believe that you WILL end up getting great deals here. I went here yesterday to get some kitchen gadgets, sponges, dish washing supply, etc. Some people gave the 99 cent store a 2 star review which i don’t understand. Hey, let’s look at it this way,…no matter how bad economy gets, i’ll always feel rich at the 99 cent store!
