There are numerous classes to choose from such as muay thai, brazilian jiu-​jitsu, and etc. It is a good place to train as a fighter and make new friends.

This is a fantastic MMA school with superior training. I’ve been doing martial arts for a bit over 10 years now, mostly from traditional Chinese martial arts, Muay Thai, and Kyokushin, and since I began at CSW I’ve been loving the submission wrestling and Filipino martial arts as well.
I came here after researching information on sensei Erik Paulson, as well as being a fan of Josh Barnett and really craving to learn Catch Wrestling for over a year.
All the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and approachable, and I have not encountered anyone with negative attitudes or an over-​inflated ego. All in all, the atmosphere at CSW is extremely chill and conducive to learning, training, and improving as both a person and a martial artist.
I’ve had brief experiences training in some other great schools, like Matt Hume’s AMC Kickboxing, but CSW is, for ME, the best. I really believe that the time I’m putting here is improving me as a complete martial artist, from striking, clinching, takedowns/​throws, groundwork, to weapons fighting through the Filipino arts.
I’m still a beginner but my obsessive infatuation and passion for martial arts (since I was a kid) has been rekindled thanks to everyone at CSW, and I am grateful for being able to train here. I hope this review is helpful, and hope to see you here!

Great staff and training partners! Coach Paulson is a wizard in grappling and a living legend in mixed martial arts! If you stop by prepare to be «hooked»

I walked into CSW almost 2 years ago since it was near my office and have been in love with the place since. It is a great gym with great coaches that are always looking to help students improve. The CSW staff and members are all very friendly as well. The gym has a cage, boxing ring and plenty of other equipment for training. I have recommended plenty of my friends to CSW and they have all loved the experience! Be sure to check this gym out if you’re looking to compete or just for fitness!

Met one of the instructors through a mutual friend he told us to bring the kids down to see if they like it no obligation, so we did and our son loved it, my daughter wanted to sign up for the snacks only. It’s been about 2 months now and I love this place watching how well all the instructors work with the kids and the level of respect everyone has for each other and the equipment this place is always very clean and always smells good. My son loves it and he always leaves with a smile.

CSW is an awesome place to train. The gym has plenty of room to train. There’s a boxing ring and a cage, and everything you need to be a fighter. They have classes to accommodate all skill levels from beginner to pro. The coaches are friendly and motivate you to train hard. The knowledge of martial arts in this building is top notch. If you don’t believe me then sign up for a trial and check it out. Just talk to the big guy who’s too big to be a Filipino at the front desk and he will get you signed up.

I’m not a member here but when I went there as a visitor they treated me very well. They have a great service! Highly recommended

So many gyms and martial arts options out there, it can be pretty over whelming. If you want to kickbox, grapple, wrestle, do a little Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or get some all around MMA training, this IS the place. Erik Paulson is one of the pioneers of Catch Wrestling and makes sure all the coaches at the gym are a good fit and trained well. I’ve been a member since January, and UNlike my other hobbies, I stuck with it and will be around for the long haul. Maybe one day, you’ll see me in the octagon getting punched in the face while I toe hold some poor soul!
If you have kids, there is a kids grappling class. The classes are fun, educational, SAFE, and a great, positive environment!

Erik Paulson is an instructor whose knowledge is sought after around the world. Coach Paulson has learned from all of the masters in each of their disciplines like Dan Inosanto (Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Martial Arts) Rickson Gracie and Rigan Machado (Brazilian Jiu Jiu Jitsu) Yoti Nakamura & Billy Robinson (Catch Wrestling) Rob Kaman and Nicolas Saignac (Savate, Kickboxing) to name a few. He has taken all of that knowledge and integrated it into a system that addresses martial arts at its highest level in whatever form you choose. From recreational martial artist through professional fighter your needs are taken care of at this gym.
Although he has been a part of Mixed Martial Arts fighting from its very beginning. Erik is very much a proponent of the respect, discipline, integrity of traditional martial arts practice. You don’t just join this gym, you become a part of large extended family, whose breadth of reach is exemplified by the many visitors who have met Erik in his seminars around the globe and make it a priority to visit here at the world headquarters. So whether you come from around the corner or across the sea everyone feels at home.
However aside from all of Coach Paulson’s accolades and qualifications results are also important. Personally I have lost over sixty pounds since I joined and have gained skills that have I used succesfully in competition. My son who has only trained under Coach Paulson has won several grappling competitions (many times competing as a teenager in adult advanced divisions), made the varsity wrestling team as a freshman, and perhaps most importantly has built the character necessary to be named his teams captain thanks to his experience here.
I give this gym my highest recommendation. Whether your are interested in striking, grappling, or Filipino Martial Arts stop in it will be a decision you won’t regret.

CSW is family!
When I just moved to California, I checked out a lot of mma gyms. For what I was looking for was a place where I could progress as a fighter and become part of a family. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you first walk in csw, you instantly feel like you’re home.
Now, If you want to go pro, Erik Paulson and the other coaches here have all the skill and networks to get you there. There are a lot of world class fighters that come through here just to take a session with Erik. He’s been around the business for years, and can really give you that unique edge.
Now if you don’t want fight and you’re a woman like me, they offer cardio kickboxing. And just recently a women’s grappling class that is so much fun and you learn a lot. Mondays at 6:30, try a free class. There are people there of all ages and it’s a really good atmosphere.
So ok I’ve wrote a lot but only because I really really love it here and have tried all the other gyms. From the people to the world class training you really can’t go wrong by trying a week here and seeing if it’s your fit!

Joined about 1 month ago and I have been impressed so far.
Dante is outstanding and really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and accommodate you. They even just started an all-​female grapping basics class since so many girls were interested.
The coaches all have their own flavor and combine for a balanced approach. The equipment is maintained, safety is stressed without being overkill, and the sense of family is obvious. You can «chose your own adventure» at the gym which is perfect for someone trying to fit it into their lives.
In short, Solid on all levels!

Can’t go wrong in this place. It has world-​class instruction in fighting. Many MMA legends have trained there. The head coach is a talented and experienced teacher as well as a former MMA champion. If you want to learn MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, BJJ, or self defense, you want to learn it here. Steel sharpens steel.

Erik is one of the absolute best MMA and martial art instructors in the world, you cannot go wrong by training here!

i have been going to csw for the past year and have enjoyed it they have everything you need weather you like stand up bjj and everything in between they are made easy to learn or to improve for everyone weather u came in with experience like me or just starting out they provide easy learning and a safe productive environment for everyone they care about everyone and treat everyone with respect and no one gets treated like just another body this is a family and friends environment and i am happy to call my self part of the CSW family

This is the best gym in the area! No matter what level you are and no matter what you are looking for, CSW has it all. Erik Paulson has done an amazing job setting up this beautiful facility and bringing in some fo the best trainers around. But it wasn’t the experienced trainers or all of the amazing classes they have to offer that sold me. It was the amazing atmosphere and energy you feel instantly by talking to anyone there. I’m truly blessed by the family I have found at CSW. so come check it out!

This is an amazing trainign center !! I have been training for over 3 years and can’t wait to go back to class weekly. The staff/​trainers iare wonderful, always attentive, helpful and caring. I personally have never been in better cardio or physical shape. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to train and or get in shape. You not find better people than Erik and Tonya Paulson.

CSW has it all. I cannot imagine training anywhere else. Lots of gyms out there say «mma» and lump various arts together, without true knowledge of each art. Erik Paulson and the rest of the great coaches break it down in detail for you; MMA, BJJ, Catch Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai, Savate, JKD, Filipino martial arts, etc…
I was a huge fan of MMA and always thought I’d like to give it a try sometime. A friend who’s a personal trainer led me on to this gym, saying it’s unlike anything else. I was sold as soon as I walked thru the door. It’s like seeing a whole new world. I quickly found out there’s sooo much to learn. I’ve been training here over 2 years now and learn something new every time I attend class.
The students are great, they create a very enjoyable atmosphere. We come from all walks of life, young to old, beginners to professional fighters. Great attitudes. Positive energy. No macho ego. Train to compete or just get in the best shape of your life.
Check out google or youtube, search Erik Paulson, you’ll see why we talk so highly of him. He has the best teaching style. Not only will you learn in great detail, you’ll be entertained and enjoy every class.

Loved training at this place! Great and friendly instructors with a ton of knowledge who care about there students. And many good training partners here of all levels to practice with, who aren’t meat heads who enjoy hurting people. Good gym for beginners and advanced level students both. They also have multiple classes a night on weeknights, and a really good price for unlimited classes with or without a contract.

This is by far the best MMA gym out there. I started training back in 1991 with many people out there. This place is the complete package. If you want intensity, great training and good people to work with, then this is the spot to go.
