My 8 — year-​old son and I have been attending this school for a year now. The instruction and instructors are amazing from the kids class through adults including women.
My son attended another BJJ school before this one and I didn’t realize how awful it was until coming to GB. I also never felt comfortable enough to sign up for the adult class.
Once my son started here at GB, it wasn’t long before I signed up for the adult class and now, I’m addicted.
Not only is the instruction and instructors amazing, but the camaraderie of everyone who attends GB Fullerton is just as amazing. I couldn’t have been luckier in finding this family which it really does feel like.
Great for toddlers, kids, adult men and women.
They also offer muay thai classes which is a plus.

If you are ready for a life changing experience come and train here! Professor Gustavo is a world champ black belt and he’s ready to teach anyone who is ready to learn. I started jiu jitsu over two years ago and I haven’t stopped since! It’s a great way to get into shape and challenge yourself physically, and mentally!

We love Gracie Barra Fullerton!!! My son (8.5 y/​o) has been here for 2 years and my daughter (7 y/​o) started about 7 months ago. They just love it. The coaches are awesome and so good with the kids. The owners (Leti and Raul) are just upstanding people. So caring with huge hearts for kids. They are really into anti-​bullying and also love having the girls in the classes too. Seriously, if you are looking for a positive place for your kids to learn great life skills, this is the place to be!!!

I began Jiu jitsu in November 2011. 2 years later, the school closed. It wasn’t til I reached this moment in my training that I realized the difficulty of continuing training when your searching for a new home that is comfortable and flourishes a positive training environment.
Gracie Barra Fullerton delivers what I need. A very positive family oriented training environment. I don’t just say that based upon my own feelings. The owners are self invested in the school with the entire family participating in the training. It feels good to be apart of a school where the family too believes in the skills, discipline and confidence one develops as a student in this martial art career.
I’m in my 3^rd year with this school and I have never been disappointed in the training and knowledge the professor provides to help me be more fit and prepared physically and mentally. I’m proud to be apart of a school that is home to a professor that is not only professional and knowledgable but has developed a reputation of being one of the best Jiu jitsu competitors in the sport.
The more senior students are very approachable and I consider them to be some of the most friendly people around.
I’m very appreciative to be apart of such a wonderful team and since the school has moved to this location, it has and continues to grow tremendously. I not only write encouraging people to visit this school but to also commend the owners for developing such a great training environment.

My son used to come to the OLD gb Fullerton… Wow has this place changed. If you had a bad experience with the old management, it doesn’t even resemble it’s former self. Come back and give it a shot. I am glad I did.

Great place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor and Coaches make you feel like the team. Highly skilled Professor and Coaches know what they are doing. Awesome team for kids and adults.

Came back to GB Fullerton after a couple year hiatus and definitely feels like coming back home. Professor Gustavo is an awesome instructor and the new location is so much nicer and has a lot of mat space to train. Great guys/​gals here with no egos and all are willing to teach you. Glad to be back!

So I switched to this gym from another Gracie Barra because I now live much closer to this facility. It has now been a couple of months of me being a member at Gracie Barra Fullerton and I completely love it. Professor Gustavo Pires is an awesome black belt and is very technical which is what I prefer in an instructor. His assistant coach, Justin, is great, as well. I read all the reviews before switching to this gym and accusing them of being a financial company robbing their customers. That must’ve been a long time ago. I believe they are under different management now and I haven’t experienced them «robbing» me. I’m a frequent traveler and they have been VERY accommodating and VERY understanding when I have to pause my membership. I pause it every time I travel and they have never charged me during my absence. So I am very grateful for that. I don’t feel compelled to pay gym fees when I know I won’t be there. The guys that train there are awesome as well — great camaraderie and there are no egos.
Overall, a great gym located in the heart of Downtown Fullerton!!!

World class professor, great coach and awesome training partners. The best jiu-​jitsu spot around here. I been to other spots around this area and they don’t compare. Good stuff.

WARNING– WARNING — Don’t sign up. Trying to cancel my son’s membership is almost impossible. I am fighting hard — Most likely will go to small claims court to get them to accept my cancelation. Now all the positives of the year are washed away– DO NOT SIGN UP! IT IS A TRAP!!!

Got my start here. Paul runs a great school, Andrew and Justin are great guys excellent coaches.

They are definitely a financial company that tries to rob you. They charge you for the whole year at $ 125 a month even if you sign the hold form. I owed $ 650 for the 5 months my son didn’t attend and they are still charging us. It is impossible to cancel. Here’s a way better school that won’t rob you. De La O Jiu-​Jitsu Training Center. Don’t let the name brand fool you.

I am in the best shape of my life thanks to Gracie Barra Fullerton! I have lost weight and gained a skill that I have always wanted. The instructors are knowledgeable in Brazilian Jujitsu and excellent teachers. I agree that the monthly fee can sting a little but you are learning the original Brazilian Jujitsu from world class instructors. You will get out what ever you put into it.

My son has been going there for 7 months now and we have been very pleased. Their instructors are highly knowledgeable and great with kids. The kids are having a great time out there.

Just like they claim, «training like a family». It’s not cheap, but anything worth doing isn’t.

They’re financial company that they use is horrible and will rob you of your money however possible. They’re membership costs are monthly and not cheap. What makes it even worse is, they make canceling your membership IMPOSSIBLE. It’s been over two months and we’re still trying to get it cancelled… be 100% sure that you want to join before you sign anything from them.
