Deluxe Custom Upholstery

Due to back surgery and the wear and tear on my recliners. I decided to have them reupholstered and customized for my back as opposed to purchasing new ones. Isidro and the crew at Deluxe did an awesome job. They listened to my concerns and recommended high density foam for my back and seat cushions. Not only did they perform the work beyond my expectations, they also made improvements to the recliners. The finished product is outstanding and the recliners are now better than when they were new. My back is very happy now. Thanks Guys.

I am so happy with my new custom booth! I have never done a project like this before and Isidro mad it easy. He is an artist and a super nice guy. He finished a week ahead of schedule and made the delivery process simple too!
He quoted me $ 1,600 and there were no surprise extra fees.
The workmanship is outstanding and he gladly made a house call for one extra visit to do an alteration.

I loved the older dining set my mom gave me but the colors didn’t match our color scheme at all so we decided to get the chairs and benches recovered. We went to Deluxe Custom Upholstery because it was the closest to home. When we walked in my first thought was, «No way! How could anything good come out of such a tiny and overcrowded shop!» Isidro, the owner, wasn’t there and we were told to come back the next day. So we left and went to a couple of other shops and they were both closed. When we got home I looked up all the shops on Unilocal and decided to go back to Deluxe Custom Upholstery. The reviews were good so we went back. It was the best decision ever! Although it was very cramped Isidro helped us pick out the material and made suggestions for new wheels for the chairs which he could also take care of. The items were beautiful and so professionally done. We just couldn’t be happier!

I went to this guy about a month ago to get the foam on my chair cushion replaced, the original foam just didn’t last very long. He measured my cushion, ordered the foam, I took my cushion home and came back a week later (it was available within a few days but he’s far away from me). When I came back he switched the foam while I waited. The first week or so with the new foam and it was very stiff and I thought maybe I got too strong of a foam, but after I broke it in it was perfect.
I only gave 4 stars because the new foam comes out about a half an inch to an inch further than the old foam, so it doesn’t line up perfectly. But it’s only noticeable to me and I’m sure if I took it back he would fix it for me.
I went to him based on the previous recommendations and would highly recommend him to anyone else. I paid $ 65 for just the single foam cushion.

Because of Craig F. Decided to call & thank you! We love our sectional and we have shopped but found no other that goes well in our family room. So, we took your recommendation and reupholstered our cushions and we’re happy campers. Our butts don’t even put a dent in it, lol. It is so firm and comfortable. He came to our house for free estimate and he was very patient because I stumbled with the fabrics & colors. He offered us to check his shop and foams the next day as I contemplated. It took us only 24hrs to decide and 3wks later, our custom upholstered cushions done!
The owner, Isidro is a quiet & humble man. He is honest and good to his word & work. He is quite reasonable too. His workers are also just as faithful. Seeing him smile as we sat happily on our new cushions he knew his job was done! Job well done. I will totally recommend him to others.

It was time to get my cushions fixed by replacing the foam. I saw a few great reviews on Unilocal of this place and decided to try it. Isidro was awesome. Very professional, very reasonable. Called at the exact time he was supposed to call… had my cushions ready, right when he said he would. No complaints whatsoever. His son even helped carry my cushions to my car for me. Definitely give your business to this guy. My couch is super comfy now too!

I came here from recommentdation of fellow Unilocaler Craig F. I should probably give him commision for referring me to Isidro and is little gepetto workshop called Deluxe Custom Upholstery. It’s next to some hair salon.
I cam by on saturday 2÷2÷13. Just wanting to get a price quote. I showed im a pciture of my sectional he said it would be starting from $ 65 … i was like hmm. i have 2 cushions and 1 large on for sectionals.
I came back again at 1:30pm to bring him the cushions. He measured the 2 35“x25″ and 1 60“x40“x17″ he tried to call the person he ordered the HR-​30 foam from. but they didnt answer, so he said he’ll call them on monday and order it. I said ok. so i left the cushions with him and went home… luckily i’;m not much of a football or superbowl fan… so i didnt care if i didnt have cushions home. Bare sofa with no cushions… LOL
I called him on my way home today 2÷5÷13 Tuesday and ask him when i can stop by to pick up the cushions. He was like. tomorrow or tonight. i was like tonight??? oh wow you already have it done? he’s like yeah… i’ll be working late. so come on by i was like. alright, i’ll come by 6:30pm (ifigure 91 fwy and traffic will be bad).
I got there at like 6:15. he has his apprentice or worker working on the first cushion. as i was walking in. He said:” oh wow, you’re early.” i said:” no traffic. but take your time i can wait.“
so i waited for like 20 mins. and Isidro work on the other cushion while his apprentice work on the big L shaped cushion. It was amazing. i took some pictures. it was not the nest picture. but it was amazing.
i brought it home. boy that thing is heavy now. very dense. and when i sit on it. it’s so firm. Let’s see in 6 months if it’s still firm. I hope so.
He charged me $ 200… very surprising… and i also had him quote me if i wanted to swap out the fabric… he quoted me $ 340 if i wanted to do that $ 38/​yrd of the good micro suede fabric and 9 yards are needed. Or i could opt for cheaper locally made $ 18/​yd…
i told him i will come back some other time and do that upgrade if i still want to keep the couch.

Ok, who out there owns a sectional? Yeah, me too. Well, who out there owns a sectional in which the foam in each of the seat cushions is so thoroughly compressed that your couch is left with little to no support? You too, huh? Well, I had finally lived without comfort long enough – I finally grew sick of it – and I set out to make a change.
Like you, I once thought I found a great deal on a new sectional, which at the time felt all cushy and plush, but eventually – sooner than later – became uncomfortable and rigid. Come to find out, it was the foam – the cheap foam in the cushions – that was to blame. This low-​grade foam was also the reason the sectional was priced so low, something I wasn’t privy to at the time of purchase, something that was known on the dealer’s end but not mine, something within the confines of caveat emptor that sweetens another’s pockets simply because I wasn’t playing 20 questions. But that’s another story and another review… :)
Anyway, I looked up Deluxe Custom Upholstery on Unilocal,gave ‘em a call, and drove on over. If you drive too quickly, you’ll miss it. It’s tiny, this place – quaint, even. It looks like what you might expect at Geppetto’s workshop, without any strings nor self-​promoting, umbrella-​toting crickets. There’s actually only one older gentleman who works there. He owns the place. It’s been his for over 11 years. His work is scattered throughout his shop, and it looks like he’s got a few projects going on at once. You can tell by looking around that his handiwork and craftsmanship is very professional and tied into a lot of pride. I was impressed, looking around at some couches that he was re-​upholstering.
So I brought in my cushions, and he shared with me the reasons for the thinning foam. He also spoke of what is called HR-​30 foam. Basically, HR stands for «high resiliency» and «30» was a specific density. I tried sitting on it, and right away I felt the difference: a firm softness, if that makes sense.
Anyway, I was sold. My foam had dwindled from 5.5″ to 3″, and he said he could order what I needed and have it in the next day. He also said that once I brought in the old cushions, they would be completed within a couple of hours. Furthermore, he would include Dacron – a protective layer wrapped around the foam and considered standard practice on any furniture. I did my homework this time! :)
All this for $ 55 per foam cushion and $ 60 labor: $ 280. I will tell you that when compared to two previous places that I had checked, Deluxe Custom Upholstery offered the best deal for the same, exact product. And now I have them – new, spongey cushions. And life is comfortable once again. :)

I did an online search and found this local Fullerton company and thought I would give them a call to see what it would cost to replace my couch cushions and see if there was a chance to fix the squeeky springs. The fabric in my couch was fine but the cushions were flat and uncomfortable and it squeeked when you sat down.
I spoke to Isidro who was very friendly and met me at my home the next business day. He gave me an approximate cost, what he could do to fix my couch and gave me a time he could come back to pick it up. All I had to do was pick out the firmness of my cushions. They came and picked up the couch and had it for four days and called me when it was ready for delivery. They did a really nice job. He opened the bottom lining, replaced the clips and tightened the springs. No more squeeky springs! The cushions are just right! Not too firm, not too soft. He replaced the liner on the under side of the couch and a small tear in the piping. I would recommend this company to friends and family.
