The sign said«best breakfast burrito in o.c.», so I decided to give it a shot. I usually judge taco shops by their hot sauce and both the red and green sauces were amazing! Some of the best I’ve had. The bacon breakfast burrito was very good. Service was about what you’d expect, not overly friendly but fine enough. Probably don’t use the bathroom unless you really need to.

Quick stop before getting our marriage license at the courthouse. Breakfast burritos are the best! Friendly staff, great salsa. Russ had suicide burrito(three meats) and I had bacon. All come with hash browns, cheese and egg. We added beans and it made it even better!

I came here along with some friends(party of 5) and we decided to come here because it was close to us at the time. I think I was the only one that had been there for the first time, everyone else had been there at least once. One of my friends did say that their chilaquiles are pretty good for a breakfast meal. We came around 7pm and I noticed that they seem to offer lunch specials according to the day of week. Honestly, everything in the pictures looks very appetizing, but l found sometimes somethings are to good to be true… like food shown on commercials/billboards/magazines. I had high exceptions because the plates looked HUGE. Two of use decided to go for the steak enchiladas plate that was served with rice and beans. One of my friends decided to go for a burger and the other two went with wet burritos. As soon as our plates were served, I was thinking DAYUMM! The plates were packed and my friends that got the wet burritos were huge. It wasn’t until I started eating the food that it tasted just alright, nothing really special. I think the cheese enchiladas may have been a better choice, but oh well the rice and beans kinda made up for it. Even my other friend said that the enchiladas were just okay. My other friends that got the wet burritos also said that it was just alright, but that they’ve had better. All of us left satisfied, but not fully content. We even stayed there talking about other good food spots around Fullerton that we have to try for future occasions. With that being said, it’s safe to say that all of us didn’t reach that point of satisfaction… you know what I’m talking about, that moment where your still talking about the meal because the meal was good or you stop talking about food because it was good and you ate to much… yeah neither happened here. Anyways, there morning menus might be better, but overall I would say this place is not bad, it’s just okay.

Overall 3 stars because the food is always great. What’s up with costumer service now? People are just rude. Both my husband and I have come here plenty of times the women at the register always seem to be in a bad mood? why? So we have dealt with it. This time around we came and I ordered chilaquilles and my husband ordered CARNITAS so they brought my husband Chile Verde, and it looked good, just that MYHUSBANDISALLERGICTOSPICYFOODS, NEVERINHISLIFE has ever ordered spicy foods. So we were certain he never ordered that. WE let her know and her reaction was not only an inconvenience, but that it was his mistake! What was even a bit more disturbing is I don’t think she realized I would understand or much less she didn’t care because we were only a couple feet away from her as she complained to the owner and he even seemed inconvenienced!!! That really sucks especially because even if the girls at the register are rude the only ones cool are always the actual servers. We have recommended this place to people but no longer will! :(we clearly are not very picky we have noticed a lot of transients each time we’ve gone and costumer service has always been less than average it does need some upgrade but up until today we will never return. May God bless this place.

Dirty diner just down the road there’s a bridge with an encampment of bums underneath that frequent the place and that’s the kind place this place is fit for. The inside is old dirty and drab. A dirty pale pink wall is the back drop to a depressing broke mans dirty diner. The food dripping with grease as you see morbidly obese people come in and out their lives spinning on a revolving door of addiction to food.

Beyond my expectations! Amazing food and service! I got the flautas dinner and my husband got the wet burrito dinner, both were super delish! Best horchata I’ve ever tasted too!

The California Burrito is why I go here. I do agree with some of the other post that the meat can sometimes be chewy. But from my experience that is few and far between. The Suicide Burrito is delicious as well. I can’t finish either in one meal, so for the price you get a lot of food. Staff is polite and you don’t have to wait too long for your food.

I’m in SoCal for the weekend to help my mom move into senior housing, and had a couple of hours to kill so I’m getting my nerd on watching trains at the Fullerton station. It’s been 10 years since I’ve been here, and nothing much has changed. I had the pastrami and fries and a couple chicken taquitos. The pastrami was pretty good, I could have had two or three of them. The taquitos were as I remembered them, stuffed with chicken and slathered in guacamole sauce. I should order a dozen of the things and call it a day. I’ve been looking forward to this and I wasn’t disappointed.

Two words: Taco Tuesday! Tacos are about $ 1.25 each or so and they are delish! I got the beef crunchy tacos most recently. Perfect amount of meat, lettuce and cheese. Red sauce has just enough heat. Shell is crunchy, not soggy at all. The restaurant itself is very simple. Service is quick. I’ll likely go back to try other things.

Sadly this place has gone down hill! We are local and eat here several times through out the year. Mostly breakfast burritos but tonight we got dinner and it sucked! The quesadilla was soggy! The guacamole is more like avocado juice/soup, the beans are bland and the enchiladas were… well the cheese wasn’t melted, like the rolled up cheese in a tortilla and poured hot red sauce on them the«cook» them. Really guys??? What happened? I think we will drive over to PEPEs next time! Don’t waste your time! Eat somewhere else!

I don’t see why people are giving this place 2 stars. The bathrooms aren’t that bad as Sara described, the food rocks. overall it’s good. @Laura, ever heard actually going and ordering in person?

This place is great authentic Mexican«quick» food. Let’s not kid ourselves, no one is going to confuse this with a Rick Bayless restaurant but the place is worth a visit. The breakfast is great as well with large reasonably priced portions. My wife like the Spanish omlette and I usually get one of the Super Breakfasts. Oh yeah and the coffee is amazing. They also have a huge selection of burgers that I haven’t even gotten to yet.

— Gluttony Expedition — Fish dinner: basically fish & chips but it comes with a lot more — 4 pieces of fish, French fries, onion rings, deep dried zucchini, and side salad(fairly big for the side salad). Lots of food — great for sharing it as an appetizer. All of them were just ok. Tartar sauce was very gross mayonnaise sauce. Terrible. As a whole, it’s ok. — Conqueror’s Deduction — Taste wise, nothing special. Portion wise, it’s too plenty. I think it’s great if you want a big portion meal with a cheap tag. Taco Tuesday is crappy here.

Don Carlos is a little diner type place on the corner of Lemon and Commonwealth, just waiting for you to stop in and check it out. And you should! At the very least, stop in for the breakfast burrito. Boyfriend love the Suicide Burrito here, with it’s triple meat threat to his cardio-thoracic region. I could do without it, but when I do decide to indulge, I’ve tried the chorizo burrito, which isn’t too bad, if you ignore the grease dripping out of the burrito! I’ve seen signs that they serve menudo here on certain days; I guess if you want to know when, it might be good to call ahead. The service is pretty good here too, and if you take a seat after getting your fountain drink, they’ll bring your food right to your table. The place is clean, the food is affordable and decent, and like I said, Boyfriend loves it :)
