Fullerton Plaza Inn

Is now the Travelodge, dont let the name fool you, its horrible, no hospitality what so ever, linen smell like grease, has stains and holes. bed linen does not fit, they use sheets as mattress covers that bundle under you during sleep. Staff is afraid of management, cant give you more toilet paper unless ok’d by management. Shower curtains smell of mildew, A/​C is noisey, whores knocking at you door in the wee hours. Just because you cant afford more, you should not be treated like your a squatter.

This place is now a Travelodge Inn. It’s under new ownership.
Don’t get confused like me… I had found this place here on Unilocal called to get a rate and when I drove over was confused but when I went into the lobby, I was told it’s no longer the Fullerton Plaza but a travelodge. Nice room at a reasonable price.

I have friends and family stay close by whenever they are visiting the area. I’ve suggested this spot a few times before but never actually been inside the rooms. Well after this past weekend I think I might start looking for another «go-​to» spot to suggest.
The room was about $ 80 after taxes. We walked into the room and it reeked of smoke. Although it was a smoking room I don’t think the ventilation is adequate enough because it’s almost to the point where it was kind of nasty. Once the AC got going it helped tremendously. For not being a luxury place it had most of the «bells & whistles»,… Refrigerator, Micro-Wave,…TV. (really small and really old, but at least it worked), Basic Cable (Time Warner) and a queen sized bed. Everything was relatively clean. Sheets weren’t stained, the carpet appeared clean and wasn’t sticky. We did happened to notice that there was a nice size hole in the box spring near the head board though. Looked like it was burned or something and it was a little disturbing but what ever, it was still comfy.
So for the money I would have to say that this particular spot is NOT worth it. I’ve seen cheaper spots that are more modern & cleaner. I cannot recommend this place and would say that you would probably be better off hitting a Comfort Inn or Motel 6 or something.
