We used Kim Ironworks 6 years ago. New fence across rear yard and two gates in front. We orginally wanted powder coat but they said they do not offer that. But they offered a design with a hand drawing that looked good with their suggested ornamental work. We went with it. They brought the fence unfinished to check the size and asked me to approve it. Then they took it back to finish it. After installation I remarked on the poor paint job. Super thin and not smooth. I demanded a reduction in the balance so the original rep came out to look. I also pointed out the large welds which were all over the place. The joint welds too were not sanded and generally hideous. He apologized and said he was suppose to supervise our job but got pulled off to do a large job in Coto de Caza. He said our job was done by a rookie. At the time we had a brand new dog and we needed the gates right away. I settled on a small reduction that he offered. I regret that now. I have walked the neighborhood and I see what a good iron job looks like. Joints sanded smooth. Welds not obvious. Etc. I was duped by their claim of working at Disneyland where only the best goes into the job. Beware. I wonder if when I approved the unfinished fence they assumed I didn’t care about the welds and the joints. I had assumed the fence would have a fine finish. BTW our gates rusted quickly due to the poor paint job.

Kim Iron Work Inc in Fullerton, Southern California? —- The worse salesman I have ever seen and the worst service we have ever had.
I would suggest don’t wasting your time or expectation to this company. Don’t even make a phone call to it, and don’t seek its service.
We had the worse experience with its salesman Michael Kwak (Sounds like last name). We went to his office in Fullerton, California, carefully looked at the pictures of fence, and pointed several to tell him the type of fence we were looking for. He did not care what we showed him, just said those (pictures we pointed out) were all the same. He then drafted a very simple design discounting our desire and quoted a sky high price. (nearly $ 8,000.00). I said why a simplest fence would cost so much. He said if we wanted more design, not the simplest, the cost would raise up $ 2,000.00 for adding each design. He said, «I don’t want to hear that (the price is very high), then he slammed the papers on his desk and got his face and neck all red. He seemed to be drunk the night before and in general he has a very strong and hard personality that is not suit for a salesman. My husband was trying to soften the tension, said: You might want to ask us how much we intended to spend. He however left us alone without talking with us anymore but working on his computer. He wasted us all precious morning.
Stay away from this company, i am sincerely telling you.

Sales rep, Kwak showed up fast, took our order & then disappeared. Installers showed up unannounced, while we were away, did the install & asked my daughter to pay!!! We sent 2 checks one post dated from where we were vacationing, asked to hold a check… they didnt, made the deposit & messed up our ck acct. Then I left messages for the balance of the job to be done and cant get Kwok or A hole owner to return a call. This is a shit outfit, DO NOT USE THEM, find someone else who can offer after install service and return a call. This is a typical crap contractor, fast to take the cash & offer no service. Idiots cant make a return call??? Dipshits.

I cut down a few trees and cleared shrubs and junk on the side of my home. After I leveled the area, I found that I had a whopping 16×40 foot area that I could put up a rig and make a small park-​like area. I wanted to extend the existing iron fence.
I ended up receiving 3 quotes and two no-​show I had made appointments with. Randy came out right on time. Not only was his quote $ 600 cheaper than the lowest bid, it was $ 2,000 lower than the highest bid. Guess what? It even came with extras and better installation options including a pretty sweet looking gate.
Part of the fence sits on a slope… very difficult area. The guys showed up on time and managed to hit every single detail and left with a job well done. It turned out better than I had imagined.
The next day after the installation, I realized they had fixed an area of older fence on the back side of the yard. What great folks!
On time, great job and less expensive… The type of company I like!

Kim’s Iron Works extended up an Iron Gate that my Father made me many years ago and they understood that I wanted to match the original design my Father had designed specifically for me.
They just finished re-​installing it & I could not be happier with the service, work and price. From Joe, who quoted me to Fernando, who removed and re-​installed the gate.
