Michelangelo’s Pizza

Came on a Friday night with my son and immediately realized Michelangelo’s core business was delivery & carry-​out orders. A staff member repeatedly apologized for the kitchen being so busy & our pizza taking longer than 30 minutes to arrive at our table, and I had to ask for a cup & a straw which should have arrived together.
All in all, the pizza was great, and they may have just been understaffed that day, but $ 30 for a large meat-​lovers pizza & a can of Diet Coke, along with the slow service, doesn’t scream «see you next time» IMO, but I may give them a chance again cause the food was so good, and there were quite a few regulars that came in after us which is very encouraging as someone who remains loyal to a handful of businesses…

First off this is one of the best pizza places around. Second, I just came from there tonight to celebrate my son’s 4 year birthday with a party of 6. After eating I went to pay for my bill and the owner/​employee said that the guy in front of me just paid for my entire bill. I chased him down in the parking lot and thanked him. I have never had that happened to me ever and it made my son’s birthday and it made our night. The guys that work there are really cool too and I are always crazy busy. Again excellent Pizza and thank you again for the couple to paid for us

Ordered a small pizza last night at 5:30pm and I have say it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I don’t know who made it but it was great. We have ordered from here before, this one just seemed extra tasty. Keep up the good work.

Love their pizza. One of my favorites in town. Crust is just thick enough and they are quick to deliver. Highly recommend.

This pizza place is amazing the fact that I feel like my mother made this food says a lot well if my mother was Italian. It is amazing I will be coming back and recommending this place to friends. It truly is a hidden gem. Lars was amazing the server who helped us and he has great people skills. I love how the cheese just melts off the slice and how everything is just delicious. Beyond excited to become a regular here.

Plenty of toppings. Great crust. Prompt delivery.
But the sauce was really disappointing! Just not much flavor beyond tomato paste, which is far too often a common theme with pizza restaurants. Maybe this is how «America» likes their pizza sauce, but when Round Table and Dominos has a sauce that really gets it right, you’d think that the smaller chains and single locations would take the hint and enhance the flavor of the sauce.

Excellent pizza. If they delivered to my home they’d get all 5*****‘s Great selection of brews and wines. Honey Sarache wings are yummo!

Orange County’s best pizza secret. The crust is über delicious– best pizzas!!! Got it delivered; will do it again!

Made a quick stop here on the way home with the kids. The pizza was very good. Dough was good, toppings were plenty. Would definitely be back. They had The Yeti beer on tap which is a favorite of mine, but had to pass on it this time around.

Greco-​Roman: thick doughy crust, fresh toppings and lots of them, which could explain the price. The large wasn’t super big. Maybe enough for 2.5 ppl? One complaint: no balsamic drizzle. Boo. Good thing I have my own at home. Otherwise, tasty.

Once again the best pizza ever. Almost as good as in Milano Italy. Extra thin because the crust just adds carbs not needed. Real Italy pizza is just like this. Service is fantastic.

Come here quite often, love the Meatball Subs and also the pizza. They got the best chef/​bartender. Great beers and great food! Stop in and have a bite!

Fresh sauce, fresh dough, and amazing cheese! What more can you ask of a pizzeria? Of course it is not NY style. But the taste is close enough for a night of nice beer and pizza.

I’m picky when it comes to Pizza (I grew up with my parents owning an Italian restaurant). But this place has the best pizza around. We always order a medium half pig and half grandmother and it is delicious. I have never been into the establishment but get our food delivered! Keep up the good work!

While visiting Buena Park, wanted some pizza for a change. Searched for a pizzeria that would also give me Delta miles, and Michelangelo’s popped up. Went for Sunday dinner on a holiday weekend, so they weren’t very busy in the restaurant (carry outs were pretty constant). Dining area wasn’t very big, just ordered my calzone & wings and sat at a table. Fairly large selections of beers, I can see Michelangelo’s filling up on nights with a local crowd. The food was delivered, it was hot and tasty– just what I wanted! Had enough to take some as leftovers back to the hotel. Very enjoyable, recommend, and someplace to repeat whenever I’m in the area!

Looking for a pizza place in the area, we saw this listed on Unilocal close by. So we went to check it out.
Got inside and we were the only ones there around 7 p.m. on a Monday.
We are told that we can have a seat wherever we wanted and that menus were on the table.
Once we figured out what we wanted, my friend had to go up to the counter to order it. I thought that someone would be coming to our table to take out order.
We order the food. One small cheese pizza, one salad, and two sodas.
Ok. so like the sodas are in cans and it costs $ 1.50. So I guess that means no free refills.
So the next day, we finally get our order. Well… maybe not the next day. But it sure did feel like it was taking a long time as we both commented on how much time it’s taking. You wanna know something, we were the only customers there along with the two employees. The only thing that came to mind as to why it was taking as long as it did was that maybe the delivery orders were probably ahead of our order. But I’m not 100% positive on that. I can’t imagine what the time frame would be had the place been busy.
I was drinking my soda very very slowly during our wait. At any other place (with free refills) I would have been on my second drink. ha ha
We get our food. The pizza was good and my friend enjoyed his salad. Although he did say they put too much italian dressing on it.
Will I be back here… probably not as I don’t have a reason to be out in this part of town.

Wife and I decided to go out for pizza and a beer.
Wanted someplace new and found this spot on Unilocal.
We drove up and the place is small and looks good but empty on a Saturday night at 7. We actually started to drive away but changed our minds and went in. So glad we did. We ordered a couple of really good salads and a jumbo pie with sausage, peppers and mushrooms. Pizza was delicious and the people working were very nice and very helpful.
They have a good selection of craft beers and some nice wines available by the glass. They let us try a few so we could decide what we liked. Very nice.
All in all I highly recommend this place when you want a really good pizza.
Only 4 stars because I prefer regular beers not craft beers and they didn’t offer any. Small problem because they have a variety that is sure to satisfy whatever your tastes.
