The go-to unlimited kbbq in town Ive been coming here for a very long time, and although they’ve had their slump, the new management seems to have picked things up quite a lot. The meat quality is much much better Side dishes are delicious The atmosphere is, and has always been, really exciting! It seems like they’ve figured out how to be more attentive to their customers as well(s/o to nick: D) Ps. Keep swiping, you’ll find me one day ;)

Came in here for my birthday around 10 and was told they were on last call before I was seated. After I was seated, I talked to the waitress and gave her all the meat I wanted and then told me it was not last call. I am not sure if they just wanted no business but this was the first red flag. The service was slow and much less personable. I have been here about 12 times and the past 4 have been less than impressive. I think a lot of people quit and the people leftover hate their job. After eating, my friends and I tried to go to the bar side of Moodaepo but was told we were not allowed to eat or drink there even though we were all 21. The cherry on top was the homeless man outside of Moodaepo doing inappropriate sexual acts with himself. Its so sad because this used to be my favorite K BBQ spot

I made a HUGE mistake of giving this place a shot before reading any reviews. This is the worst dining experience I have ever had. WORST customer service. Our table seemed to be invisible and we had to wave down every server for plates, water, cups for the water, a salad that should have been served without asking and more orders. I get when people are tired at work, but it seemed like there was absolutely no intention to provide good service at all here. I have never written a review nor have I confronted a server to tell him/her how horrible the service is but I had to at this place. We lost our appetite & asked for the bill early. I am traumatized by the lack of customer sevice. I will never come back to this place & will make sure my friends don’t either. I wanted to take my parents out to eat, this turned out to be today’s worst idea. Never again.

I had an incredible experience here today. My boyfriend woke up with an huge appetite for ayce kbbq and we decided to come here for lunch. They have $ 11.99 lunch special. It includes limited category of meat but had enough to satisfy us. We had brisket, beef belly, and spicy samgupsal. Just before cooking our samgupsal, we requested to get our grill changed. But the waitress refused to! But she explained that our grill was at a perfect state to cook samgupsal. She was right, our samgupsal was cooked perfectly with juice still intact with the meat. Even though we only had 3 orders of meat, we left happy due to the amazing quality of the meat and the service.

Great service Limit on rib Did it for free macrons 10⁄10 would eat again tbh Really liked the service I need to write more to make this valid, but all in all I’d eat here like everyday. Like dear god I’d eat here my whole life if they didn’t have a limit on ribs. 101⁄100 would eat again. Food was delicious. Service was great. Tried the large intestine and was pretty good. But the bulgogi was the best I’ve had from any KBBQ restaurant. Also they served all you can eat sushi for the less adventurous eaters. Must try if you like KBBQ!

Food is bad here. Gen is better. I think for this area Mr. BBQ is the best By the way, after I posted this, someone who I think is affiliated to this restaurant responded to me saying not to come back if I don’t like it. Just an honest review buddy.

Walking in you are typically not greeted right away so it makes you unsure of what to do next, however if you wait just a couple of minutes they will seat you or give you a wait time. The atmosphere is fun, they have sports on TV and music playing. They offer all you can eat with many yummy options and there is a grill at your table to cook your food. Though you can do this yourself they are very helpful and quick to refill sides. If you like bbq you will love this place.

Came here for late lunch. Unlimited everything and good quality meat! :) You should definitely order the beef belly! Our server, Yumi, was the best! She deserves a raise for taking care of at least 8 tables all by herself!

Love the marinated short rib! It’s pretty empty for kbbq spot which is a plus for us! Service was prompt and quick and price is reasonable! It’s pretty small so we missed it coming in but it’s next to 99 cent store! would def recommend

This place is huge. There’s a lot of seating, and considering that at least 3 groups of 40 students were in there at the same time… Not counting the families and other groups that also came… Very impressive. At night at a certain time they also blast music and run lights. So fun. Their meat is delicious, their sides are plentiful and you can always ask for others. They’re refillable. We also got so much steamed egg we loved it. And the soy bean paste. A+. Just know what to ask for. Or go with your Korean friends for a better experience. We ended up staying there for 3 hours. Praise. Don’t worry about service. Just have a game plan to order things earlier and it’ll work out fine.

It’s official. This place went to shit. I came here the other week thinking it was the same decent kbbq joint, where we wouldn’t have to wait for a table due to it’s huge size. Well, I was right about the wait. The 4 filled tables on a Friday night immediately told me that there was something wrong. A quick scroll through some recent reviews explained it all. They took the route of many other failed ayce restaurants and lowered the quality of the meat. SEVERELY. The once manageable cuts of beef and pork they served have been replaced with tough, sad looking scraps of junk. Something you might expect to see at a 9.99 ayce menu, and certainly not at a place still charging $ 21 – 26. Every single piece of meat we ordered was terribly subpar and I felt duped for trusting this place from previous experiences. Maybe they make enough money off of their Ddoong Ggo bar in the back or the alcohol, that they can afford to lower the meat quality this much. But if you have eaten kbbq before and have any standards for meat quality, there is no way you will approve of this place. I thought about taking really detailed pictures to show just how bad it’s gotten, but there’s no point in beating a dead horse. I will just never come back here to eat again. Congratulations MooDaePo. You have figured out the quickest way to lose customers. Did you really think that no one would notice?

I remember when it first opened. It was packed. It had a wait list for hours. But now? you walk in and get seated immediately. And half of the store is closed off due to the little amount of customers that walk in. Mind you, I only came to this place since my bf wanted all you can eat and he liked this place when it first opened. First of all, this place needs to do some serious cleaning. It’s so dirty that the seats are slippery due to the oil from meat that got cooked floating in the air. I can feel the grease on the utensils and plates they give us. On my way to the restroom, I keep slipping because the floor is super greasy. If you sit on your stool and your stool slides, that means it’s slippery. Secondly, the meat quality is just so bad now. They give you hard rock frozen meat. They don’t even mind defrosting it anymore? I’m not saying give me A+++ quality meat. If your charging people $ 29 for all you can eat, at least make it decent. Lastly, the side dishes look like they’ve been sitting out for hours. seriously. My bf who likes all you can eat even said this place became the worst all you can eat Korean bbq(he’s had some really bad ones before). Overall, not worth taking pictures for a review and will never return. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place closes sooner or later.

***MOLD***** I’ve come here a handful of times and they were all good experiences so last week I took my best friend here who was visiting out of state. I was really excited about her experiencing krn bbq here however it very disappointing. Steamed eggs — you get a steamed egg for every 2 people and we had 3 so we asked for a 2nd one when we were done with the first. The first steamed egg was really good. Nice and fresh with green onions and everything on the top. We had to ask for our second one multiple times before it came out, and when it came out, it would have been better if we didn’t get it at all(see picture). It was like they gave us the leftovers from every«1st» steamed egg bowl and put it in a clean bowl. The bowl wasn’t even hot, the eggs did not have the same texture and there was a lot of just luke warm water in it. Like I said, it was like someone had already«played» with our food. Rice paper — I’m a huge fan of this SoCal krn bbq rice paper in krn bbq restaurants — you honestly can’t eff it up. However the rice paper they gave us was really hard. It was like they had it in the the fridge, uncovered for weeks. When I asked for another because the one we had was really rough, our waitress told me that they are all from the same batch. I didn’t take her word for it, I thought there has to be better rice paper back there in the kitchen! Well… I was wrong! The rice paper she gave me was just as hard but it came with a present — MOLD(see picture). I’m sad to say I won’t be coming back.

ONLYBYFORCE… **2016 Unilocal 100CA Challenge #10** So we were meeting up the hubby’s cousin & we were originally suppose to go to Mr. BBQ but the wait was over 2 hours which we should have known since it was a Saturday night… but the cousin chose moo dae po… more like lead the way & we followed behind & ended up here… I literally was depressed… but I figured hey… MAYBE they have improved since it has been a while… I was WRONG… There were SOME improvements as in more workers were coming by our table & all the meat that came out were CORRECT& looked AMAZINGQUALITYWISE! **BRAVO** for quality of MEAT… problem was… when we ask for something… we kind of expect it soon… Asked for napkins from 3 different servers & eventually just got it ourselves… Asked for salt from 3 different servers & eventually got it ourselves again… Asked for BLUEMOONPITCHER& we got a pitcher of SAPPORO& the server INSISTED that it was blue moon… sorry buddy but even a server should know the difference based off of the fact that one is SEETHROUGH(SAPPORO) the other one you can’t see through at all! Then the second pitcher we ordered the server says«o we are out of blue moon the keg is not working» Sorry owner… you asked me to give u guys a second try… I tried… bad service overpowers good food sometimes… I will probably only dine if the one EEMO is working… she’s spunky, short, cute & works 10x faster than any of the young buks… plus she was the original reason why we ever came to dine in the time before but she wasn’t working… & this time she came in when we were leaving. =\

Oooooh dang. I’m so surprised and happy a friend took my bf and I here. Who knew that a place called heaven could serve AYCE bbq *AND* sushi? I did not know what to expect once I entered this dome. It’s huge inside! I’m so not used to such a huge korean bbq spot, since the ones back here in NorCal don’t even compare. The workers here are really chill. They’re super attentive and kinda funny. One of them joked around with us for a little bit, entertaining our huge group of 15. One of the people in my group knew the lady since he frequently eats here often. The grills on the table are kinda small and some of the things you order can easily fall off(i.e. garlic and onions). Food wise — I really loved all the banchan. The mashed potatoes are always my favorite and of course, the kimchi. We all got some salt in our little dip things. I didn’t know what it was but it was good to dip the meats in. The meats we ordered were all good too. My favorites were the beef belly, garlic pork belly, and brisket. I don’t normally eat rice when I’m eating kbbq but I will eat rice paper and the salad with it. To me though, the rice paper wasn’t as soft and flimsy and I’m used to. It was still kinda hard which wasn’t really good. As for the sushi, my expectations were too damn high and the sushi wasn’t good to me. All in all, the price is really unbeatable for all you can grub meat and sushi. We’ll probably come back with a group of people again, but Gen still has my heart and stomach.

It was my second year having my birthday at Moodaepo and must say that it’s probably the best KBBq spot to celebrate, especially with our favorite server who gives her 200% everytime it comes to serving our huge 3 table, 6 grill group. The meat and condiments are quality items and ambiance with neon fluorescent lighting create a fun modern party vibe. The alcohol keeps coming, and if it’s your birthday, may also be offered a few complimentary bottles. The house will also start bumping, TV’s lit up with your name, with the birthday committee rushing to your table at the end of your meal. We love coming to Moodaepo for everything from birthdays, get togethers, post marathons, etc. Our favorite server always hooks it up and gives us the best service around. I received many compliments about her throughout the night and hope management recognizes her fantastic efforts and work ethic. Note: Also check our their back patio Korean/Asian style outdoor restaurant; great spot to hang out with drinking/smoking(if you’re into that) buddies on a Friday/Saturday night. If you didn’t already know it existed, you probably would never know at all.

Think we got here at 3:45pm on Tuesday. Not bad, I really dug how empty it was besides one other table at first. Then 2 more parties joined, still peaceful at that point. Noticeably, you have to verbally push the gals to bring you extras. Our main waitress didn’t even bring water to the table until my parched lips asked for some. But after that, she seemed to be on the ball with everything else. Meat and sides came fast, she even cooked for us a little and chatted a bit. I like the ventilation for the grills here, doesn’t get as smoky. Had our usual, bulgogis, briskets, intestines(for him) and pork chops(yum!). All good. And their steamed egg, doesn’t taste fishy like most KBBQs. Also, there is some onion & cilantro side that is super delicious to me. Ended with the ice cream macarons. I love them! Like I so often partake in buying, from the mainly asian restaurants that sell them. The hubbs is not a fan. I thought the food was good, just miss the service from Cham Soot Gols, Mr. BBQ and Red Palace.
