My favorite middle eastern restaurant!!! I always order the beef kabab plate! The fillet mignon is super juicy and fits perfectly with the rice! Portions are generous!

Just left this establishment and they have the worst service. Rude lady taking orders like she doesn’t have the time to serve the customer and check the order(excuse me this is your job) AND after waiting for 40 minutes she got my order wrong. By the way, I tried to correct her when she was repeating my order because it sounded wrong but god forbid I take another 15 seconds of her time. I explained that they made a mistake but she insisted she wrote what I said on the box(scribbles that only she understands). I left agitated because they didn’t give me the right food and refused to correct that mistake. I have worked in the restaurant service industry for a decade and this is not acceptable. I will not be returning. Update: eating my wrong order and it’s so average… don’t get the hype.

I ate here after searching for Good Middle East Food Near me. this was my first visit… I went on Superbowl Sunday, Destiny was the women at the counter ~ She is Professional and did everything to make me happy. I did order the Falafel sandwich and I had not asked how it was served. At the end when she gave me my to go order she asked me if i like the sandwich. i said I preferred my Falafel crispy – Well, she immediately said she was going to drop me some crispy ones I could eat. She said they want their customers Happy!.. I had also ordered the combo plate(that other in Unilocal suggested) that had the chicken lamb and luley kebab. It is great to order this so you get to sample everything. I also ordered as my 2 side the baba G –the cucumber and sour cream. And I bought a side of hummus… I loved the hummus and the Baba G.&.the Falafel, Lamb and the Chicken. I will definitely come back!

As a Fullerton local, I can confidently say Pita Hot is as good as it gets. I love Mediterranean food, but nothing comes close to the taste and price of this place! Even though they raised their prices slightly, it is still much cheaper than other places. I typically order the beef shawarma plate with hummus and turkish salad– and it seriously never fails. I’ll even drive all the way to Fullerton from Irvine to get Pita Hot. They also recently remodeled the place, so there is sufficient seating throughout the restaurant now. It does get busy during lunch/dinner times, so if you’re in a hurry, you can call ahead and they will have your order ready for payment. If you want some really cheap, delicious, and filling food, Pita Hot definitely always hits the spot.

My favorite meditteranean restaurant! I think I come here at least once a week. In my opinion pita hot has the best meditteranean food in town just like it says on the restaurant! My usual is the chicken kabob plate with hummus and meditteranean salad! I did try their lamb today and it was pretty bomb. It might just be my new thing. The rice here is freaking glorious. Nice and rich buttery flavor, MmMmm. All you garlic lovers, get the garlic sauce! It’s super garlicy and a bit tangy. Just trust me and get it. It’ll change your world. I also get the green hot sauce. Its not your usual hot sauce, it tastes like freshly chopped jalapeños! So it tastes really fresh and has a nice kick! Idk what exactly is in it but its fantastic! Portions here are big! I’m not complaining tho ;-) Most of all you really can not beat their price. $ 9 for a hefty plate of rice, chicken, hummus, salad, pita bread, and a drink. Can’t. Beat. It. I usually like to call in 15 – 20 minutes ahead of time for my order so that when I get there my food is ready and all I need to do is pay. When its peak lunch/dinner time and you order there you do have to wait a while. Also they have online orders, which is fairly new I believe! Now this is for you people on the go. Order your food 15 – 20 minutes ahead of time and pay online. When you get there your food is ready for pick up and you don’t have to wait in line! During peak lunch time, the line to order & pay gets pretty long so if you call in you still have to wait in line. Again when it’s peak lunch/dinner time the parking lot here is a mess. Very limited parking spaces and they are also REALLY tight. I get nervous my car’s gonna get scratched all the time. But I just can’t resist, I need my pita hot!

Came here for the first time yesterday and it was not bad. Service is a little slow, but they’re pretty friendly. Food is yummy and you get a good quantity for the price. I got their falafel plate and it came with three sides! The ambiance is pretty chill too– I prefer sitting outside.

I love this place. I think I like it better than Zankou now. The food is so good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the service is always very slow. I always get the Chicken Schwarma plate with hummus and the mediterranean salad. The falafel and kefta are also really good.

Very clean spot with good prices. The menu is pretty big. A lot of people call to preorder the chicken because it takes like 35 – 40 minutes if you order it there. Went for lamb and kebab plate with hummus, Mediterranean salad, onions, and some other type of salad. They gave us two types of bread too. One was thin one was thick. I love the rice… it had like vermicelli mixed in with it and the flavor was really good. The meat itself was okay for me. The sides were really good too. The portion size was big so I didn’t finish even half of it.

Pita Hot is a nice, clean, cheap place to eat for the quality and quantity of food. My friends got the schwarma and kabob plates and left happy. HOWEVER. For the sad oblivious bunch of us that ordered the sandwiches, we left pretty disappointed. We waited ravenously hungry for 30 – 40 minutes while everyone who ordered plates were eating happily. The portion was rather small, and the sandwich crew left sad and still hungry. Long story short, I would give 5 stars if the wait was not so long and the sandwich portions were bigger.

Definitely got to update my review. Been here a couple times now and I got to say, compared to a lot of other places and for the price this place is a winner! I usually get the chicken kabob plate that comes with rice, pita and I get hummus and salad for my two picks. Just make sure to call in your order unless you want to wait for a long time…,

My first impression was, «Super portions and amazing prices for delicious food.» I’ve been to Pita Hot multiple times to cater for my company meetings to lunches & dinners. They always deliver fresh food(be prepare to wait for your food because it is literally cooked to order) that is charred to perfection. Don’t complain if your food is not«quick take out» or fast food because they deliver the flavor when ordered. A great tip is to call in your order if you don’t want to wait. The plates are awesome. You get a choice of meat, choice of fries or rice, and two sides your choice. I’ve tried their chicken and beef kabob, vegetarian kabob, chicken and beef shwarma, and they’re all good. Good side options are tabouleh, tzatziki, the Greek salad, and hummus. Don’t forget to add a side of baklava for dessert — especially the pistachio one! The lasting impression? «One of my new local go to spots for cheap yet delicious and casual eats!»

TWOSTARSOFFFORCUSTOMERSERVICE: This was my first time at Pita Hut. Being my first time, I didn’t know that the plates come with two sides. I also didn’t know what the sides options were. The cashier(blondish woman) was very rude and unhelpful, and made my boyfriend and I feel very stupid for not knowing. why become a customer server if you don’t want to service customers?!? Not only that but the food took near 20 minutes to come out. everybody who came in after us had ordered over the phone which is definitely what I suggest you do! If this was completely about the food, 5 stars hands down! I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. The rice has so much flavor. My sides were tabouleh and red cabbage. The tabouleh was so fresh and flavorful. And the red cabbage was dressed in a sweet, cream sauce. The chicken tasted a bit odd to me, similar to adobo. But still delicious. Bottom line: Order over the phone to dodge the wait time and bad customer service. But definitely try this place out if you have a love for Mediterranean food(& the time)!

This place is tucked away in a small plaza where it could be easily missed. It seems small when you walk inside, but there is additional seating outside as well as off the the side(which we didn’t notice until we were leaving). The food was awesome! The portions are huge for the amount of money you pay. For a little over $ 8.00 my combination plate came with naan, hummus, seasoned rice, and my meat of choice! The rice… was seasoned so perfectly. I would have been totally satisfied with just a bowl of the rice. Everything was tasted great, I have no complaint about anything. We will definitely be back next time we have a Mediterranean craving :)

Best bang for your buck. Pita hot has great food, generous portions, and it’s reasonably priced. I pay about $ 6 – 7 for a beef of chicken shawarma plate. This includes rice, pita bread, and 2 sides of your choice. Man do they have a variety of sides to choose from! Do yourself a favor and get the hummus and cucumber salad. As for the beef/chicken shawarma, so flavorful! The rice made it even better. Seriously so good and they give you so much. The only downside is limited parking. Just order in advanced and eat at the comfort of your own home! It’s worth a visit!

Pita Hot serves up pretty decent Middle Eastern food, attracting a lot of customers with generous portions at very affordable prices. They give you so much rice and sides that I usually get one plate with 2 – 3 different kababs and share with another person or eat half and save the rest for later. Their combo grill plate that comes with chicken kabab, lamb kabab, and kefta kabab is a good deal at $ 12. I’m a big fan of their chicken and lamb kababs! A word of advice if you’re ordering lamb or beef kabab is to order it MEDIUMRARE, otherwise you may find it too dry/overcooked! Even though they recently raised the price of their shawarma plates by $ 1, it’s still a decent deal. If you’re going for a shawarma plate though, I’d recommend going with the chicken over the beef and the owner will tell you the same. For the sides, I usually stick to hummus, red cabbage, tabbouleh, or cucumber yogurt salad. I’m not a big fan of their pita bread, I wish it was more soft, chewy, and moist… One complaint I have which will prevent me from giving Pita Hot 5 stars is how they handle their condiments. It’s a pet peeve of mine when restaurants go out of their way to keep the condiments away from the customers. In the case of Pita Hot, they’ve taken it to the extreme by covering the whole condiments area with a big metal cover so you can’t even see that it’s there. There is no mention of the condiments anywhere in the restaurant. I only knew that they had pickles, turnips, peppers, olives, etc. by looking at old pictures on Unilocal before they started covering them. They will usually give you if you ask(though at times begrudgingly), but anyone who is new to this place won’t even know that they exist. My request to Pita Hot is that they just remove the metal cover and JUSTSHOWALLTHEIRCONDIMENTS! When it comes to sauces, they will usually give you the white garlic sauce and a hot sauce. Sometimes they won’t, and you’ll have to ask for them. I always ask for the green hot sauce, it’s way better than the red one and goes much better with the food here. If you’re coming during lunch time, I’d highly recommend that you call in your order otherwise you will be waiting 20 – 30 minutes before you get your food! And that’s if you are able to find parking, which can be a huge headache here. Overall, Pita Hot is still a great place for Middle Eastern food. If they stop covering up their condiments though, they will get 5 stars from me!

Eats: Beef Kabab entrée plate Takes: Beef kabab is very flavorful and juicy! Entrée comes with rice, pita, and your choice of two sides(I usually opt for the tabbouleh and bab ganouj) Price: Most places charge over $ 10 for this same entrée plate. You get more bang for your buck over here! Tips: Fellow Unilocaler Richard L. is right. Do CALL ahead whether you’re going to take it to go or end up eating at the restaurant. They’re pretty good at making sure your order is ready when you come in for pick up.(Quoted time usually is 15 – 20 mins.) Location: Strip mall near the 7-eleven on Chapman. It’s minutes away from Fullerton college, Troy High School, CSUF, and DTF. Parking: Parking is a bit tight in the shared lot. Be mindful of parking spots specifically for the other businesses. Bottom line: Best Middle Eastern Food in Fullerton! Highly recommended.

Back to 5 star! They remodeled and bought even more space for people to sit. They actually have space for a line. And I can tell the lady checks to make sure everything’s in the box before she calls it out. So much GOODFOOD for SOCHEAP! I love this place! Its definitely the best healthy Mediterranean food in town!!!

Yummy!!! I finally met Pita Hot thanks to my boyfriends never ending rave about their rice… OH boy was he right! I love love love their rice– I think I can eat their rice on a daily basis. Pita Hot rice over asian rice any day. I ordered the 4 steak kabob with 2 sides(Yogurt cucumbers + Parsley salad) You also get two sauces(I got the garlic sauce + the green chili) Let me start off by telling you… garlic sauce not the best garlic sauce, but its a must with Mediterranean food. BUT that green chili was sooo goood(SUPERSPICY). It was so good that I had to buy some to-go. P. S. I also tried the«something salad» and it was really good too(It looks like pasty-salsa, kinda taste like it too) I tried a few different types of kabobs, below are the deets: Chicken Kabobs– Dry, not tasty at all. I def. do not recommend Beef Kabobs– BESTTHINGEVER(I got mine medium) NOMNOMNOM Lamb Kabobs– Good, but not my fav(I’m not a huge Lamb fan) What I recommend here: Beef kaboobs, green chili sauce and their RICE! Perfect for a quick dinner to-go or dine in(there’s even a cute secluded outdoor eatting area)
