Visited this recycling spot for the first time today. The reason we came is because my mom was looking for a do-​it-​yourself machine because she believes the machines actually record what you bring in, whereas when employees do it the scales cheat you. I think others feel this way too because when we arrived there was a guy using the machine, even though he could’ve given it to the friendly employee to just weigh and give him his receipt. I’m guessing because it was a Friday about midday it wasn’t too busy. Others came after us and they all wanted to use the machine and although there were 2 machines, 1 was broken. The machines take water bottles, cans, and beer bottles. All other you need to give to the attendant. Some of the bottles weren’t accepted by the machine, I’m not sure why … /​seems it didn’t like the bottles to be bent up. Once you’re done, you get a receipt and then need to go inside Albertsons to redeem so make sure you set aside enough time! I learned though you can redeem your receipt at the self checkout when there’s a cashier. I would’ve given this place 5 stars if there were more machines or at least the two existing ones worked. We’ll return but only as long as the machines are working!

We were satisfied with this recycling place… Until the worker told us to bring everything down because the other customers thought we were done… When we clearly had more to recycle… There were 2 of us… My younger brother continued bringing our recyclables down. After that moment we printed our receipt and left. That was unnecessary and uncalled for. The other customers were waiting in line to weigh… Not use the machine. We will not be coming back to this location NOR recommending this recycling station to others.

Always filthy and dirty and the machines are always down. Save yourself the trouble and time and look for another location. The workers are usually standing around, talking and smoking. It stinks as it is… and now you have to smell the stink of the cigarettes in addition to trash

State of this place is disgusting. It’s sticky everywhere: the floor, the buttons, the bins, the screens, the walls, it stinks like a dump and has absolutely horrendous staff that’s just inconsiderate and rude to the visitors. Not to mention, they don’t even bother to fix one of the machines, so only one is available and the employees don’t do anything but sit on their backsides and talking to people they only like.
Come here if you’d like the option to bake in the sun for a few hours to get some recyclables in or to get yelled while doing so. This place is absolutely disgusting, both in service and environment, and it seems like the only plus side is for the insects; seems like a popular gathering place for flies to be mating in.

Attendant sent me away because his lunch was supposed to start in five minutes. So I came back at the end of his lunch break. He came back a whole 30 minutes late. If you’re going to send people away to make sure u make your lunch break on time, make sure you come back on time as well.

I must say I am disappointed with this place.
When you first arrive here, behind the Albertsons and UPS store in the area, you will be greeted by a strong odor that surrounds the area from leftover, dried up fluids from the bottles and the nearby dump next to the center. This isn’t the problem that gives this rating an abysmal report, but what really makes me annoyed is the attitude of the staff. On some days, there are staff members (working in groups) that are really happy to help you out and ask quick questions in regards to filling out surveys and such. However, on certain days, there are some times when the place is staffed by one person, who always gives an attitude problem to the visitors. I recall that a staff member, after a Korean man couldn’t understand some instructions because he couldn’t speak english, started bad mouthing about the people that come to the place, claiming that the he wouldn’t even bother trying to communicate with them because they were «ignorant». Sometimes, the staff also slacks off and try to fraternize with young girls that come to visit. Instead of trying to actually help the people (mainly Koreans because of the neighborhood being 90% Korean), they literally berate them and literally wave the bottles to the peoples faces and speak as if they are mentally handicapped.
The only reason why I gave the place two stars instead of one is the fact that the self service machines are readily available even after the place closes up (that is until 7 PM T-​Sun) and give more money. Believe me when I say this, do not come here if you want to deposit your bottles when the place is open, their customer service is something they REALLY need to work on; in fact I have seen former drill instructors give a better customer service. However, I am not saying not to come here. If you do come to this place, simply use the machines, even if that means waiting in a line in the hot sun, because it’s not worth getting an angry employee lecturing you for things you didn’t know.
