Albertson’s Food and Drug

This is only for their Starbucks: it is the slowest location. Employees do not know how to multi-​task at all and only make one drink at a time, even if it’s for the same order.

I must say I can’t believe all of the negative posts — this place is awesome! Every time I come here, the staff couldn’t be more helpful (especially in the seafood/​meat department)… the prices are reasonable and the produce rocks.
I used to shop elsewhere — and used to avoid Albertsons since it wasn’t the best place when I was growing up — but now, the seafood is fantastic (due to a recently-​annouced partnership with the Santa Monica Seafood Company) and the specials are great.
Better yet — NO STUPID CARDS NEEDED! They also have a great promo all the time — they have items in the store that are ridiculously low priced — all you have to do is buy 5 of ANY of these items to get the discount — not five of the same item, just five of ANY of the special items and you can get deals like Life cereal for $ 1.49, etc. Most weeks, I can always find something I need in the rotation.
Anyhoo. for those who had a bad experience, I suggest giving them another try. I’m pretty confident you’ll find what you’re looking for.

The day before Thanksgiving, I had walked no further than 4 feet (if that) in the front down, when I slipped and fell from water on their floor. I sat for over 10 minutes WAITING for a manager to come to me after an employee brought me a chair. None did. I had to go find one. Nicola is a RAGING UNCARING BITCH, who refused for me to seek medical attention or give me the name and number of their district manager. Then the «General Manger» Jesus Sanchez was an even BIGGER DOUCHE. I ended up calling their DISTRICT MANAGER. I had to go on my own and seek medical attention and use MY INSURANCE to pay for it. BTW, I have a broken shin and big toe. 6 days later I have STILL NOT heard from their «risk management department» So it looks like I will be suing them

Thank you Debra, the cashier. I really needed to listened to a 5 minute conversation as I’m waiting to check out with my 3 items. Thank you for sharing your opinion along with the customer in front of me after you had already scanned all their items. I didnt have anywhere else I really wanted to be but in line while you didn’t do your job.

I came here for gas and went in to ask for change. The lady wasn’t very nice about it. She said «we don’t have any, sorry» but she didn’t mean it because she then asked me in a not-​so-​friendly tone, «why do you need it?» I told her I just need some quarters. She pauses and then said «no we don’t have any.» Why even ask me why I need change if you’re just going to say no again? A gas station that doesn’t have change? Why don’t you just say you’re not allowed to give out change? Just tell me the truth! Anyways, I still thank her for being «helpful» even though she wasn’t… not friendly + bad service.

I can’t say I disagree with the previous posts, but this place isn’t all that bad.
Are the prices much higher than most other places? Yes. However, when they do have sales or specials it’s not horribly bad. Especially if you’re like me and love couponing.
If there are a couple things I do like about this Albertsons would be the layout. It just seems larger than most other markets and spaced out well. Everything is easily accessible and easy to find. Also I love the idea of self checkout. It’s super convenient if you’re in a hurry and need to just grab and go. However, there are those few people who have over flowing carts wanting to use the checkout and don’t know how. PLEASE OH PLEASE just stick with the regular checkout lanes for that. I BEG YOU!
Overall, the place is clean and convenient if you live nearby. But if you’re wanting to save some $$ (damn you economy) head on over to Target or Walmart.

Technically i have no beef with these guys but what management did to a mideastern english speaking dude was totally FUCKED up~!!!
The dude arrived at 11:55 pm (the close at 12) while i was waiting in line, i even took pics and emailed them to the dm and gm of this particular albertson… But they denied him entrance…
The guy was going to force himself over the cholo worker but his companion said fuck them… ALL THE GUY WANTED WAS MILK FOR THEIR BABY~!!! and he was denied for who knows what…

As i was checking out, i asked the cashier what gives. ‘she said we are closing and peepo always hold us late’ just for that, i stopped what i was buying, put shit back in my cart and shopped some more, even getting milk to give the guy but he was long gone so made them stay extra time cus they needed to refund my milk now since i am lactate. F-​U albertsons again. isn’t it lovely??? i hope the cashier has a kid and that dumb fatass wont be able to get her kid some meds or something…
