Yellow Mango

I think I’ve seen almost every color of mango used in yogurt store names after stumbling across this one. Does it measure up to Blue and Red Mango? Probably not, but at least they give you tons of yogurt.
Choices: For yogurt flavors, you can choose between plain or pomegranate. The pomegranate (
) has almost no special flavor to it and even looks pretty similar to a plain with just a hint of rosy color. Luckily, I didn’t have to pay extra to test it. The yogurt was icy and not as tart as Pinkberry but lacking the creaminess of Red Mango.
Value: A small is a whopping $ 4.10 before tax. It’s expensive, but they seriously cram that cup full of yogurt. I could only eat about a fourth of it before succumbing to a major sugar rush and then managed to finish it off after freezing it. It’s a good deal, but do you really want to be stuck with that much yogurt when it’s probably going to melt before an opportunity to store it arises? Better off sharing it…
Service: They seem somewhat desperate for customers, asking if I wanted to eat it in the store or elsewhere, inquiring as to how many spoons I’d need, etc.
Décor: Beyond the giant mirror on one of the walls, there is very little interior design to praise here. More accurately, it’s not crawling with hip, neon colored trinkets or paper lamps from Ikea. That said, it’s clean and cheery inside.
Synopsis: Pretty standard. Definitely not complaining about the portion sizes of the small.

Décor is sparse and colorful. Aside from a wide selection of Harney & Sons tea, there isn’t much selection drink wise. Your basic options of fruity slushies with boba, some steamed coffee drinks, etc. There is froyo (which I didn’t try) in plain and pomegranate.
However, the Harney & Sons tea selection is pretty impressive (I’ve never seen the Enlightened Paris black tea blend before, I got it tonight, it’s pretty good). However, they only have non-​dairy creamer powder and white sugar. There is honey behind the counter because I saw the staff prepare tea for some regulars who walked in. Wide selection of baked goods (cakes, cookies, sandwiches) which I didn’t try. Maybe next time.
I was just looking for a place to study and they have plenty of tables and free wifi (woo hoo!) I wish they had more to offer drink wise but the staff is SUPER friendly so I can’t complain too much. A very pleasant experience.

C’mon… at least come up with a name more creative than Yellow Mango! I mean… they already have Red Mango… and I mean, mangoes are usually yellow… so naming it Yellow Mango is sort of redundant. Don’t you think?
The décor is sort of like Pinkberry but with brighter colors and a lot more kitsch.
The froyo is super icy. Not very good. I believe they have 2 flavors, one being the regular yogurt and the other one being pomegranate. They also serve smoothies and slushes. There’s individually wrapped baked goods and sandwiches in a refrigerated case too.
Good service. Friendly staff. They even offered to put my to-​go containers on ice for the ride home. How awesome is that? The froyo recipe could use a little work though.
